Figure collecting is definitely an expensive hobby, but T&B figures come in all shapes and sizes!

S.H. Figuarts figures can run between $45 and $80 depending on the figure and how old it is, however these figures are fully posable and often come with many accessories and stands. Chibi Arts are often a static $35 or $40, not quite as posable but still come with many options and cute props. They're also really cute, which is always a bonus, right? And little blind box figures are usually between $8 and $15, sometimes cheaper depending on the character in question. A Fire Emblem won't cost nearly as much as a Barnaby, for example. Barnaby would be twice as much as a Fire Emblem or even a Rock Bison, because of how popular he is. The same applies for Kotetsu. This however can be applied to any T&B figure. People always want to push the unpopular characters for as cheap as possible to get them out of their hands, popular characters, especially if it's a new release, will always cost more.

However, if you miss out on a pre-order opportunity and therefore miss the figure release, always wait a little while for prices to come down before hunting. From personal experience, back when T&B figures were brand new on the market, I had to spend $100 for a S.H. Figuart Wild Tiger that original sold for around $65 because of how rare he had become in a matter of weeks, and to top it off, he was released around the holidays, which made things worse. These days anyone can get a hold of a Wild Tiger, Barnaby's are the most difficult to come by it seems because of his sky-rocketing popularity.

I've purchased figures from ebay, amazon, rakuten global, amiami, big bad toy store and on rare occasion, mandarake. For a beginning buyer, I'd recommend amazon or big bad toy store. T&B figures sold on BBTS are sold from USA store fronts, so that means the import cost is eliminated all together. The same often applies to amazon sellers, but always double check your shipping charges to be sure. But if you choose to shop on ebay, pay attention to seller feed back. Shop smart! My criteria normally is, if it's below 99% positive feed back rating, I won't buy. Ebay isn't nearly as scary as it looks, it's just all about paying close attention to the item and seller to ensure quality.

I don't have any experience with online shopping services though, which seem to be what you're looking into using? I do however have lolita friends who are TaoBao shoppers, I can ask them all about shopping services and relay the information to you here!

I did that for a friend for Christmas, a completed set of the petites costs about the price of one S.H. Figuart, which is a really great deal for those who want the whole cast. I believe Lunatic is the bonus figure here in this set, so you get your Lunatic/Yuri, too!

Hm, when my locks come off of my gaia T&B items, would you like first dibs on my Lunatic doll? I want to sell them, but I'd rather give first dibs to folks here who really want them most for fair prices instead of selling them for inflated, ridiculous prices in the market place.

Ohhh, by the way, King of Works is a box-set of items, currently worth around $100, I bought it for $110 at Kinokuniya including tax. However, T&B has tons of individual art books for sale, so even if you can't get King of Works, you still have lots of great options.

I think the KoW is the best compilation of T&B. Some people took photos of a couple of pages and they were gorgeous *o*, so i'll go for that book, even if it's the most expensive of all of the artbooks. But in general, it's amazing the amount of merchandise they are releasing. The fans wallets are crying blood.

Something like, the doll that comes out first, represents who you are. I got Karina. So...it means i'm a tsundere girl who likes way older men? Seems legit. What was the first doll you got?

I'm glad to know I'm not the only addict when it comes to shopping for those figures. I love figures all around and do a lot of collecting, but there are just so many quality things that Tiger and Bunny has. My collection isn't as huge as yours is but this is what I have so far:

- Tiger and Bunny Petite Trading Figure Wild Tiger (2) - One was a gift.
- Bandai Tamashii Nations Kotetsu Figure Arts Zero
- Kotetsu Plush (Not really a figure I suppose) but it's hands are magnetized, his hat comes off and on. It also includes his mask and the Let's Believe in Heroes sash. I had to do a background check on him to make sure he wasn't too good to be true. But he's probably one of the best quality plushie's I own.
- Kotetsu Mascot Key Chain ((In suit without mask))

My collections a bit more modest since I don't have the money! I wish I could have more! I really want to get the S.H Figuarts Wild Tiger Figure. Oh man, there's one in Japan now that glows in the dark. They want so much money for that. It's pretty crazy. I love your collection!!! I was thinking I'm gonna need a Sky High in there at some point and probably one or two Banarbys.

Now that the show is getting more popular, I'm excited to see what other merchandise comes out. I love flair and merchandise a bit too much for my own good.

I also enjoy the pictures of Sternbild, scenery porn at its finest. It's so pretty!
I still need to find a place for my calender, I was thinking maybe my desk at work?

Out of all the Top mag figures, this one looks to be the best, imo. The candy-toys and petites are pretty unimpressive, and this outfit is supposed to be gallant and AWESOME, you know? He looks pretty good for a posable, but I have a feeling that he'll be a lot like the S.H. Figuart Zero Keith in which it looks "okay" on the box, but it looks really, really cute in person. I was blown away by my Keith, he's so cute! I also love his bouquet accessory. ; u; Oh man I bet you hate me then, I went to the premiere and I have the Top Mag card. I even made a Top Mag Wild Tiger sweater last minute to wear to the premiere. :'>

I got it at big bad toy store, so far they're the only ones selling it online! The cool thing about BBTS is that they very rarely run out of stock, their preorders can stay open for ages and they always have your product. You can preorder it here if you'd like! ;D

It's very different from any of my previous fandoms. I've done most of my buyfagging through Livejournal, and more recently: Tumblr. So far, I have amassed:

3x Yuri rubber keychains (one extra, one gift, one for use)
1x Kotetsu rubber keychain
1x Keith rubber keychain
1x Kotetsu lottery prize keychain
1x Kotetsu Fortune keychain
1x Nathan & Bunny plush keychain
A Wild Tiger card from the movie premier mailed to me by a friend since I live about 3000 miles from San Fran.

I also have four WCF figures on the way and I'm getting the Kotetsu and Yuri plush dolls for Christmas from my girlfriend heart

No kidding, the drop rate on Kotetsu is so incredibly low it's ridiculous. ; n;
I have a beef with the Sky High SDplus, it can't be equipped with the companions because it gets covered by them because it flies.

I don't take my chances very often with blind box items, when it comes to T&B, I have the worst luck and almost never get my favorites.
That's why I try and buy them as individuals online if I can.
