you always work as a tem I have a small group of friends and we all are preppers and we understand that alone your weakness can get you killed but as a team the weaknesses are minimized you always want to have atleast one person with you (the buddy system) but I would say more like four this way if there ever becomes a need to split up you can work in two twon man teams thus each person can watch out for the other
