i will use a shotgun because you might can kill more than one zombie

I wouldn't use a gun.... too noisy. Depending on the distance I'd use, 1) Long range: A crossbow; 2) Medium range: crossbow; 3)Hand to hand range: Katana; 4)Close Quarters: A wakazashi.

2. Spare parts everywhere
3. 7.62 rounds are abundant
4. large mag capacity
5. adaptability with folding butt stock

I use a modifed shotgun with a scope,larger mag,and a higher rate of fire.[LOL!!! rofl ]
But if I didnt have that shotgun with a blade on the end.

2. While spare parts may be everywhere, not a whole lot of people know how to field strip and reasemble a gun
3. While abundant, ammo will become scarce fast.
4. Same reason as 3.
5.If it folds, then how are you going to use it as a club.
6. Doesn't do anything against a zombie.... *sighs* Stopping power is for the quickest possible end to a fight... Unless you hit one in the head with the round, its not going to stop coming at you.

Those are some very valid points Nharia1, As far as ammo going out fast is a great observation, since many people have aks many will want the ammo for it.
1.you can suppress AKs, and boy internal suppression is sexy.
2. The AK is one of the simplest guns to field strip compared to a modern ar 15.
3. no point in arguing there.
4. same as above
5. A folded stock will still kill someone.
6. I imagine stopping power with a zombie is like using a 22 compared to a 45
If you shoot a zombie with a 22 in the leg they will still come at you.
If you shoot a zombie with a larger caliber in the leg you have the chance of shattering bone and making that leg useless i.e. zombe crawl.
