is anyone else hoping for any mention of any characters from the video game?

i just want like a 5min Clementine cameo and my life would be complete.

i know they stick mostly to the comics, but Glen was in Season 1.....if just briefly so i'd think it'd be really cool for fans to see at least Clem.

Yes, but Telltale stated several times that, when it comes to it. It's not there decision. It's the show/show runner's. Game People want to, TV show says no.

In "The walking dead: Survival instinct" you play as Daryl.
You meet Merle for example.
You also meet Andrea and Amys mother and father, as they mention their daughters.
He also meet a guy named Noah. If it is the Noah who is on the show, I have no idea.

She'd be so freaking badass. She'd show Carl up for sure.
