I agree she was annoying and a bit psychotic, but let's not forget she was only a young girl. And young girls like to make things up sometimes, even if only to make themselves feel better about something. (like a zombie apocalypse for example)

I never hated her like everyone else seemed to, just found her annoying. The last scene with her alive actually made me feel a bit sorry for her.
