I am irritated because the American media is spending small fortunes covering a silly wedding when a faction of that money could acheive so much more in other ways. What power does a royal even have these days? There is only waste no benefit.
Meh. You could say that with any media story, like Lindsey Lohan going to court yet again. Some people just like hearing about this sort of thing. If you don't, just don't get involved. Simple.
It does require plane tickets, hotel fair, filming rights, and lord knows what else to cover that idiot Lindsay Lohan. Its one thing to hear about it... its another thing entirely devoting hundreds of thousands and in some cases millions of dollars on a wedding that effects us in no way shape or form.
I wouldn't go as far as saying it doesn't effect us. It effects Britain, as it's gaining a Princess, and therefore a future Queen. Plus, a Event like this is making quite a lot of people happy, as a lot of them might view it as something great for Britain, or something out of a fairytale, with a common woman marrying a Prince. It's making a lot of people happy, especially as a distraction from all the depressing events like those in Japan and Libya, which are still going on. So there is method to the media madness.
