10/30 - 11/3:
Sorry for the lack of updates, life is busy for us murder suspects! Juno finally managed to find her way back to the main hall, after falling over a table, breaking a vase and ruining her gloves. She disposed of her gloves, and noticed she had lot her ring somewhere in the mansion. Arriving in the main room, and having missed the announcement, she was confused by the tense atmosphere. Unable to find Katheryn, she busied herself with the buffet table.
Mae, having left her table to eavesdrop on the conversations of others, found the little imp under the buffet table. Beni, who had been staring out the window and smoking a long drag, noticed Mae and went over to speak to her. Mae was successfully able to use the imp to distract from continuing where they left off. After some coaxing, they convinced Noir to change into his human form. Much was learned about Nilda from Noir, he was trying to keep him from causing trouble, she possibly got blood on her from a fight before the party, and she was a member of a cult! As for Beni, was there something special about her skull hairpins? And what was with her strange speech about the darkness being beautiful?
Nilda was very stressed, having lost her imp once again, and went about looking for him. Little does she know how much her imp has said about her!
So much happened, I cannot possibly mention every clue! Please go back and read recent events for more info!

10/29:
Jumping right in, Zazabi, a guest posing as a waitress, noticed the red liquid on Konani hand and came forward to ask him about it. Konani, was lost in thought about his own scandal, believing the law was unfairly criticizing someone as perfect as himself, and that Kathryn had stuck her nose into his private affairs. Hearing Zazabi, he brushed it off as having just touched something when he was outside, and excused himself to wash it off.
During all this, the guests listen, and try to figure out the murderer themselves. Will they figure out "who done it" before the police arrive?

10/28:
A lot has happened since we last left off. After the discovery of the body, the first to reappear was Mae, straightening her garments and finding a group of people to blend in with. Then Nilda and her imp reappeared, "Both looked nervous and seemed like they had a bit of a frenzy while they were gone." Soon Konani followed, returning from outside sopping wet, with some strange red liquid on his hand.
At this time Kranberry took the stage to announce what had happened to all the attendees, and that they were now locked in until the police arrived. This was when Beni reentered the main room, looking flushed and flustered, and wiped her gloves against her gown for one reason or another. When she heard the announcement, she looked back in the direction she had come from.
Mae, in very poor taste, toasted the death of the journalist. Konani soon followed suit, but took the chance to once again to share his dislike of women. Mae, feeling like she did not have to listen to his absurd disgust of females, because of his scandalous rumors, called him a pervert and told him to shut up. She also used the opportunity to accuse him of murder. Of course Konani accused her back, pointing out her own rumors.
Beni, hearing their argument joined in, recognizing the name Konani, and having heard of his rumors. She also pointed out the fact that Mae was too pleased with murder. In her hurry to defend herself, and probably too much champagne, Mae slipped about having been accused of killing someone, revealing who she was to Beni. Of course Beni then accused Mae, saying she had as much of a reason to kill Kathryn as Konani. Mae, feeling attacked, tried to defend herself again, saying the jury had found her innocent and giving some excuse about being too stressed. She excused herself from the group, going off to sit alone at a table in the back of the room.
Nilda, after hearing the announcement and the following outbursts, thought it might be a bit early to celebrate, and went in search of BAI. When she found her, Bai of course was a mess from her earlier panic. Then a frog appeared out of a food bowl complaining about the noise, and surprising Nilda. However, she began a conversation with the little thing, mentioning she wished everyone was dead, so they would shut up. More tomorrow!

10/27:
We left off with Nilda eating a sandwich with Lunar, BAI and her imp, Noir. Not being able to restrain himself, Noir found himself in search of a shiny stone that caught his eye. Not finding it in the main room, he ventured off into the mansion. Nilda, after realizing Noir had left yet again was furious, and too left the main area in search of him.
Konani, still feeling sorry for himself, decided to drink a bit. After a very dull flirting session with a waiter, he wandered around a bit. When Mae warned him about Kathryn, he was more offended by her touch then grateful for the information (I HOPE YOU GET COOTIES). Feeling suffocated by the air, he went in search of some fresh air.
Maggie, after seeing a detective enter the ball, left the bar to blend in with the crowd. Not long after that, her phone rang, resulting in a conversation about a "Pain in the a** Boss", and causing her to curse in Sicilian. Someone named Dimitri was late, leaving Maggie on high alert.
Suddenly a thunder storm hits the mansion, causing the lights to go out! Kathryn, struggling to find her way in the dark halls, finds herself in the basement... but she has the feeling she is not alone. Soon the lights come back on, and the hostess goes to the basement to check Cordis's emergency blood supply. In "the sex freezer", she finds not only the blood, but a very dead Kathryn. Calling the head waiter to lock all the doors in the mansion and alert the police, we now have to find out who the murder is.

10/26:
We continue our story with Mae and Beni still listening to Kathryn on the phone. After moving to a closer location, Mae finally over hears that the journalist is in fact Kathryn Scottson. Recalling Kathryn's interest in her own personal affairs, Mae becomes upset. After telling Beni who the journalist is, she goes back to the main room to warn Konani, before going off to be alone. Beni on the other hand remembered her father mentioning Kathryn's name, when Beni was reassuring him that there was nothing to be used against him in a smear campaign, at least nothing she wanted him to be worried about. After returning to the main room herself and attempting to socialize, she too excused herself to be alone since she was feeling hot and unwell.
Meanwhile Nilda who is still wondering where her imp, Noir, has gone. After Lunar brought back sandwiches for everyone, it turned out that Noir had been hiding on the hem of her dress. Silly imp!
Konani lamented the amount of women, and lack of his type of men. While wondering why was even there, he happened to notice the journalist taking notes. Although he did not like that lot, he also liked the attention. Juno, after being momentarily distracted, goes about trying to find Kathryn again. Knowing it would have been impossible to hear a phone call with the crowd, She ventured deeper into the mansion, in search of her obsession.
And finally the hostess Kranberry Jam announced a haiku contest, please see the freebies & contests post for more details. More of the story to come!

10/25:
The party continues! Kathryn, who had been rewriting her notes when we last left her, finished up, snapped a few pictures, then joined other guests on the dance floor. Nilda was having trouble with her imp, as she wanted to dance, and he refused to change forms to be her dance partner (also having to remind him not to cause trouble).
BAI (in all caps, you have to shout it to pronounce it right) staggered here and there, eventually knocking over a tray of silverware, bringing both Kathryn and Nilda to her aid. In Nilda's rush, her imp, Noir, was flung somewhere. When Nilda found out Kathryn was a journalist, she was less then pleased, commenting on how drama always followed them. They both continued to be distracted with helping BAI in one way or another, until Kathryn received a phone call, and retreated to a quieter spot.
Beni and Mae had been admiring Nilda's imp, that was until Kathryn caught their attention. Both curious about her presence, they followed Kathryn when she left the group, and are attempting to listen to her phone conversation. Beni was especially interested, mentioning the information could be useful to her father.
Last but not least, the mysterious Maggie enters the ball, heading straight to the bar. What is her story? You will find out more tomorrow!

10/24:
The masquerade ball begins! While most people are caught up in the festivities, our diligent journalist Kathryn is busy taking notes, and planning her next article. Not far behind her, always keeping her in sight is Juno. Try to stay out of her way, or you might get knocked down.
Mae, after dropping some hints about having to feign being respectable and being the object of many rumors, causes a scene by offering a challenge to guests. She is joined by Beni, who also offers up a prize to the winner of the challenge. While Beni is obviously a very wealthy women, she seems more interested in the usefulness of those around her.
Attracting some of the most attention at the party, is Nilda and her imp. Constantly having to keep her imp from causing trouble, she urges him to change forms, which he refuses to do. Not to be out done, Konani arrives on the scene. He is truly a sight to behold, at least he thinks so. This dislike of the ladies will surely get him into trouble, as he is completely surrounded by them.
That is all for today, please check back tomorrow!
