Can someone explain this event to me?

So I signed in and had a message from a friend inviting me. I had no idea the event had started or where to go or what to do. I clicked around and went on the flash, because that seemed like the likely place to go and I was a blue wolf in a room full of wolves. =/ Then I went to the forums and something about attacking people but I see no attack button. Is that because everyone is a wolf/dead/protected? That's all I see. Why am I a wolf? Is there anyone to attack? I am so confused. =/
