Things Ive Noticed That Theyve Changed From Book To Movie

Another, the muttations. They made them look like rottweilers on crack, not the wolf-like tributes.

Another, how Thresh dies. They were running through the woods and they hear him getting killed by the muttations

Another, How they found Cato During the muttation attack. Cato was suppose to run past them and climb up the cornucopia, not already be up there.

Those seemed to be minor changes. I'm surprised you didn't catch the Mockingjay pin. In the book, a friend of Katniss gave it to her, but in the movie, a merchant sold it to her.

Do any of those things matter? I mean, really? The only thing so far mention, was the pin. Which, isn't a massive, monumental, devastating thing. Hollywood will inevitably write their way around it eventually, so chill. You act like they've totally changed the books when they made it a movie. They haven't. It's the best book to movie I've ever seen, and that includes HP. Go read Eragon, watch the movie, then complain about mutilation. Until you do that, you have no room to talk, honest. Sorry, but true.

The cut out the character Madge, as well as the Avox girl. In the end, Peeta does not come out of the Games with two legs. They also cut out the part where Katniss was reluctant to eat the food Cinna presents her. But I digress, the movie was one of the best adaptations of a book I've seen.

As others have said, those are very minor details, and when you're dealing with taking something from book to script, it's common knowledge that there will be some changes to help it flow easier.
This was actually the best book-to-screen adaptation i've ever seen; they kept it as true to the story as possible.
Especially with things like the muttations that look like the deceased tributes, it would be very difficult to portray that on screen. They did very well with what they were given.
