Spoilers. Don't like, don't read.

Katniss wasn't worried about who to choose or who she should love... She had these two boys who were really important to her, but risked losing them because both were in love with her and both were in danger of being killed by the Capitol if she didn't act right. She is very adamant about not having children all throughout the series, and if she didn't want children, she probably didn't want to be in love.

Katniss was not weak. She was not out of character. How can she be out of character if it's Collins writing her that way? How was Katniss supposed to practice becoming better at speaking? It's not like she could practice on the audience or Snow. She was being constantly watched all the time. There was no room to make mistakes. Better to let people who know what they're doing do the job rather than bumbling through the situation and ******** everything up. And it wasn't entirely that she couldn't do the things that were demanded of her; most of the time it was that she wouldn't. Katniss is a very proud individual; it was hard enough for her to pretend to be something she wasn't. Just look at her first interview. She wouldn't have been able to talk to Cesar because even considering how friendly and helpful he was, he was still a part of her doom. She had to pretend she was talking to Cinna; that was the only way she'd be able to get through the interview civilly. Even then, talking to someone she thought she could trust, she had a hard time. So exactly how was she supposed to be able to put the entire charade of being in love with Peeta on her own shoulders and run with it? Impossible. Like I said, it would be better to leave it to those who knew what they were doing rather than ******** it up and get yourself and those you cared about killed.

And how does Katniss let people walk all over her? Throughout the books, Katniss showed herself to be extremely vehement and disdainful to those she didn't trust or like. She's attacked Peeta and Haymitch both, people on her side because they pissed her off. And she's killed to protect others.

And of course she's gonna be emotionally ******** by the third book. Wouldn't you? Her home was obliterated. Thousands died because of her. Peeta was in the Capitol's hands. She thought he was being tortured for information he didn't even know. And he was the stronger of the two, so she believed he should have been the one who was saved. And she had to live in an extremely oppressive environment, basically being forced to become a part of a doctrine she didn't want any part of. You think a seventeen-year-old girl is gonna happily and easily become the face of a rebellion against the Capitol? You must be outta your damn mind. Katniss had been through not one but two Hunger Games. Twice she had to fight for her life, for Peeta's life. And of course she'd put Peeta before her. She was always gonna be in his debt for his saving her when she nearly died of starvation, and for being a pillar of strength, one she relied on even outside the Arena. Furthermore, the Capitol [******** with your head. Twice she had to go through two extremely trying Games, all the while undergoing emotional, physical, and psychological torture and trauma. And then she had to live with the fact that nearly her entire District had been leveled. She had to walk through corpses. And then she had to lead a rebellion against the most powerful and malevolent force in her world: the Capitol. All the while worrying about keeping Peeta alive. And then when she gets him back, he tries to ******** kill her. The boy she'd developed feelings for, someone she trusted and loved and respected, tried to kill her.

Please, tell me how you'd go through all that and not crumble into a thousand pieces.

What do you mean she lets people walk all over her? She didn't give me that impression at all.
