When you watched The Hobbit

did you feel like it was slightly in fast motion, or was there just a goof up on the part of the projectionist when I went to see it?
I am just wondering because the audio didn't seem noticeably distorted or out of synch or anything, but everything was moving just a bit too fast. It looked strangely comedic at some fairly serious parts.

Maybe it was a fault in the projection. I was only slightly irked by it, but it really put my sister off of the movie. I am starting to think I should go see it again and hope it runs properly.

I've read that it was filmed in 48 frames per second, as opposed to 24. Some people commented that it was hard to get used to. It's not something I could really tell a difference with... But I wonder if the projectors at my theater just can't play the 48 fps?

That is why it would have felt faster then any other movies you have watched.

I'm just not sure that the framerate should have caused it to look weird. A higher framerate would just cause the movement to be more natural to the eye, right?
