Why do alot of people hate emos?

YES I am emotional (we all are unless you keep your feelings inside)
YES I have other "emo" friends

I did not get it cut like that because its the style I just like bangs
I don't only shop at HT
I don't only listen to "emo" music I also listen to techno and trance
I do not cut myself
I do not b***h about how my life is horrible and how I wish I would just die
I also have friends that are "preps" , "nerds", "normal kids" , etc..
I am wearing a tie dye shirt and jeans right now ;no black what so ever

Honestly, I am sick of all these threads that say "I hate emos" or "Emos suck". But, seriously I want to know why people just seem to plain dislike them. I just don't get this at all. If they hate them for being emotional. ((Which emo doe stand for, for all the morons out there that don't know.)) If that is why then why does people make fun of them? Wouldn't you think that that would just make them feel worse or any one for that matter?

I am just curious why people hate them and no I am not emo. Even though my profile says I am an emo kid. I got it just 'cause I like the background.

Feel free to ask me questions to see if you think I am emo. My friends call me it by the way.

because EVERYBODY has emotions because ALL music has emotion attached to it. Because flaunting that you are depressed isn't cool and it shouldn't be called emo it should be called lameo

There isn't anything to like about them.

They are whiny, self-centred little twats that feel they are suffering through their "miserable" lives even though they have family and friends who love them, a roof over their head, food in their bellies, clothes on their backs and pretty much everything they want ( At their parent's expense).

They are failed goths that revel in their failure, as though they are proud that they can't hack it in society.

I have no respect for people that are constantly in their own little pity-party and expect everybody else to indulge them.
