Terra too, since she is basically half summon.
I dunno about Squall, never played FF8.
Same with Zidane.
Tidus is strong, but not as strong as his teammates.

******** it I choose Gilgamesh. In some games he even has all of the main characters weapons. Not only that but he's been in almost every game after 8 and a boss or a summon/cameo.
Plus his theme is ******** awesome.

the strongest villain would most definitely be sephiroth. he was already stronger than strong before the mutation he went through. his swing is so strong it can slice through rocks and metal and just about anything with the simple swing of his arm. he can fly, he summoned a meteor to literally destroy the earth, he died and became part of the earth and instead of dying revived himself and is just about immortal. he was aiming towards exploring the galaxy itself. earth was just a stepping stone for him and nothing could get in his way except for cloud. cloud is even stronger than sephiroth. id say realistically, cloud is the strongest character in the entire franchise (or perhaps the hero of light in final fantasy 1), but game wise id say...squall is the strongest. his renzokuken can range from 4-8 hits for max dmg and then lionheart which is another 18-19 hits for max dmg. he's crazy op'ed. or irvine's fast ammo mixed with a meltdown and a few other powerups for super fast 5k+ dmg or zell's limit break. if you're fast enough you can kill omega weapon with zell alone. then again rinoa has a glitch where if you teach her no limit breaks except for the full moon one or whatever she can constantly make your team invincible. then AGAIN if you're lucky selphie has a lb called the end and it kills anything in one hit guaranteed. everyone in ffviii is op'ed and the strongest game wise holy s**t x.x
