Both are pretty bad. People need to find a happy medium.

If I ever made it big, I'd have such a hard time figuring that out.

uhhh, doesn't really matter?
it's their art, they can do whatever the ******** they want with it.
if i was any good at art like i wanted to be i'd be making money with it.

Depends on what the artist values. If he's sticking with his values then it's fine, I guess. All that would be left to judge is their values themselves.
