It'a a Jewish holiday. On that day, the Angel of Death came down to Egypt, and killed the first born son of every household. The houses passed by that angel had the blood of a lamb on the door way, making them as "houses of god". Hense, Passover.

Yey, atheism. I can know my religions and not be disgusted by them.
I'm donating a thousand gold to you for being the first person in this topic with a head on their shoulders.

No, seriously. I have 4k.

Questionable Genius

The last supper was a Passover seder, if that helps at all...

...no?

Sorry, I'm not jewish.

For a second there, I thought you were going to quote me because I said that earlier.
Me neither, but seeing as how I don't live under a rock I know what passover is. I also happen to know it has something to do with stale bread.

I just don't pay attention to religious things that aren't my own.

And I don't have a religion.

It's not ignorance. It's lack of care.
I could be the biggest atheist in the world and still know what passover is. In fact, I'm pretty sure it's something atheists know a lot about being as annoyed with religion as they are.

I don't really care about religion at all though. Believe whatever you want as long as I'm not involved.

Which would explain how I don't know.

The passover is an event that Jewish people have every so often where they thank God and celebrate their liberation from being slaves in Egypt.

It's not just the Jewish. The Christians celebrate it too. It's not as big, but still.

The bread isn't stale. It's unlevened, which means it has no yeast in it to make it rise.
I don't know what it is either... sweatdrop My R.E teacher was rarely there.
We did have a nun take our classes for about 2 weeks.
But all she did was read us stories from the bible about Jesus. sad And that was when I was in class and not in detention for being an ignorant little heathen! xd

Whether or not christians celebrate is more of a matter of chance. As in, if they have more than one top in their house, they probably practice Passover.
Did you ever stop to think that people may not give a s**t about other people's religious practices and events?

I sure as hell don't. Anyway, I know its got something to do with Moses and his fight to get the Jews out of Egypt. If I'm right, it deals with the last plague - the death of the firstborn. Jews slaught some goats, smeer the blood on the door frame, they were safe. 'Passed over' even.

Knowing Jewish people, it's probably stale anyways.

We eat unleavened bread for a week because the Jews escaping from Egypt didn't have time to make decent bread.

It's a long holiday with lots of symbolism.

Now you know.

I only know that Jewish people celebrate it.
But I do wonder...What's it for?
