I almost used that word when I was typing.

I'll blame your telepathy instead of my not paying attention then.

It must have been an accident. I am not one to mind game people.

You should go for an EEG just to be on the safe side.

I don't know if that will be useful for telepaths.

I doubt it but it would be fun to find out.

Do u think early followers of god committed human sacrifices to god?

Abraham attempted one. God stopped him.

As it turns out, God commanded him to, as a test of his devotion. Once it became clear that he was willing and able to carry out a sacrifice of his own son, God was like "Ok, I believe you. Let him go."

Quote:
I am asking b/c i watched a video clip a few days ago where some archeologist were saying that it was very likely that early Israelite did commit human sacrifices.

Oh, there certainly were. Though I don't know that it was in "God's" honor. Or at least, not the one that the bible is centered around. There's even a story in there about a group of people that were condemned to be sacrificed in a furnace. But they had God's blessing, and were not harmed by the flames. They literally just walked around in the flames, unaffected by heat that would cremate a lesser human.

So yes, human sacrifices were made. Probably in God's honor. Though he never actually seemed to care much for the practice.
