OMG! Blacks, stop complaining about racism!(read first post)

In the past day or so, I've seen about 4 different threads about how gaians assume that blacks don't experience racism. Firstly, this is completely inaccurate. Most gaians admit that there is racism, and it is negative in our community. Also, despite the catchy phrase in my topic, I don't mandate that every black person shut up about his or her persecution. However
1. I think that a lot of African Americans play it up to be bigger than it is. There is still racism, homophobia, sexism, anti-Semitism, etc. Blacks are not unique, nor is racism the biggest issue around. Indeed, there are even multiple types of racism going around. Asians are often viewed as incredibly intelligent people. Although some may see this as a "good?" type of racism, the fact is that Asians who do not fit into this category are looked down upon more than causations or blacks of equal intelligence. Look at your oppression in the correct light. It's there, its bad, but it's not the worst around.
2. The biggest group that faces discrimination is the group consisting of black transsexuals. Mostly, they are not attacked by causations, but by fellow members of their black community. Far be it for me to say that all blacks oppress in this manner, but those who do forfeit any right to complain about being victims of racism. If you oppress others, it is COMPLETELY hypocritical for you to complain about oppression. Also it's hypocritical to ignore the issue, and complain about racism. If you are going to simply ignore another group being oppressed, how should it be expected for other people to notice your group being oppressed? That said, those blacks that do not fall into those categories have a right to complain about their oppression.
3. People who wish to complain about oppression need to take an active role to stop it. I, and many other people, are willing to fight to end racism, but you need to too. I do not carry the sins of my fathers, nor does the debt that my ancestors owed to your ancestors when they were enslaved pass on to me. You need to be willing to fight stereotypes, and try to push for what is right. Black people are often viewed as less intelligent than other races. Fight that stereotype. Study hard, get into honors classes. Fight the stereotype that black people use drugs/alcohol. Don't do it. If you are willing to fight for yourself, Ill be there with you. but if all you want to do is complain, don't expect other people to fight for you.

I personaly think the Native Americans had it worse. They didnt even get a chance to live, be it hard life or not. They were killed in cold blood just because the white man wanted their land. (I can say white man because im white! xd ) No one ever hears them complaning. Why? Because they found a way to get their land back on nickle at a time: CASINOS!!! So they actually did something instead of crying that the president hates them.

(im not saying all blacks blame bush, but a good bit do. And a few bad ones ruin the whole lot. i.e. refer to the pit bull post)

I agree I think the Irish had it worse through history with all the things that happened to them. Blacks still complain about being enslaved, but the Irish were enslaved, attacked by the Brittish, went through the potatoe phamon, were treated lower then slim, but yopu don't see them whining as much as blacks.

I think what people are complaining about is how everytime something bad happens to a minority, they blame a CAUCASIAN. They don't take responsibility for their actions, and tehrefore, do not get out of the ghetto/barrio.

Look--it's easy to go around as a white person and think that you understand exactly what someone of another race goes through. But you don't. Example: at a friend's old job, the owner said he wouldn't hire black people because they'd steal stuff (according to him). Look at all the false rumors people spread around the internet about the New Orleans refugees--saying they were coming to small towns of other states and raping and pillaging. They were all false, but came to the conclusion at the end that they "deserved to be flushed," pretty much. I also saw this attitude on several forums from people. Why do you think such rumors would be spread, if not for racism? Why are people so eager to believe these things? Why do people assume that the majority of pepople on welfare are black, when that isn't true? Why do little white girls get black men fired from work on their first day because they dress like sluts and "feel uncomfortable?" (TRUE STORY).

Racism may not be as prevalent or outwardly acknowledged and spoken as it has been in the past--but it's still there--especially evidenced by people who think that minorities are poor etc. because they are lazy. It's a vicious cycle. Oh I don't want to hire this lazy person. Oh--I guess he'll never stop being poor then.

Blacks will always claim themselves as victims of racism until they either stop finding sympathetic ears or stop finding unsympathetic ones.

I never claimed that racism didn't exist. but there are other forms of opression that are worse. Much worse. The chances of someone being killed just because he or she is black is pretty close to 0 (at least out of South Africa, where both races are slaughtering eachother). Not so for transexuals. Yes, there is racism. However, there are currently laws against firing of workers. Laws that are almost always enforced. I'm not saying its not bad, but its not the worst out there. Also, again, many of them don't fight for themselves. If they don't fight for themselves, why should i fight for them? In addition, the comment I made about many of them being homophobic/ against transexuality still holds. If you opress, or ignore opression, you have no right to complain when others do nothing to stop opression against you.

That really doesn't counter my points. Whether or not I "understand" it, I've definatly heard all of the racism scandals. I've certainly experienced something like it due to my sexual preferences. Either way, the points still hold

Blacks still have a right to be angry, everyone does. Rascism is a stupid thing, and so are labels, and stereotypes. There is one thing all of you must realize before continuing to post:

There is nothing we can do to stop this except kill the entire race. Which is why I'm gonig to try and convince all of the contries that I'm a spy for their government and that someone is planning to nuke them, in turn they will nuke back, causing nuclear destruction and killing any survivors with nuclear winter.

unless I'm very much mistaken, there is no country that enslaves on the basis of race. Some countries enslave, and some ensalave their enemies, but no longer is it a "you're black, you are my slave," type of servitude
