6% of American's believe that man never walked on the moon
97% of Americans believe that college is absolutely necessary for a successful life. that means a person is twice as likely to believe we never walked on the moon then to believe college unneccisary; and yet less of us are able to afford college because of rising fee's.
why? the basic laws of supply and demand
a college degree gives a person less of an edge in the workforce, because now everyone has it; and yet to not have it is as bad as not graduating high school 20 years ago. Colleges should focus more on making education accessable to the average person, and put more funds into learning; not sports and lunches. Where is the spirit of intellectual growth? everything is competition now, and to me that makes college not worth it.
