Umm..let's see here.
I've had my oldest cat for 7 years. For a long time, he has been one of my best friends.
I've been with my primary for 3 years. She is the most dear to me person in the World, and I love her dearly. When I got Felix, I knew he would die before I'm 40. Death of a pet comes with the territory.
My primary is 6 months younger than me, so it is possible that she will be with me until I die.
Should she meet Death before I do, it will crush me beyond words. She is a part of my very being, my very best friend and my dearest lover. I do not know what I would do without her.

The logical side of me wants to say that a cat/dog is expected to live a shorter life than a human . . . but that's the thing. I'm so very close to my puppy who is no longer a puppy, and I would mourn her loss equally. She's just that important. heart
