henna is a dark red/brown/auburn
it does not come out black
my grandma and mum dye their hair with henna, like trust me on this

my cousin dyed her hair with henna and it just got darker, not redder @ all (her hair was black originally, just not jet like how it came out)

maybe she mixed it with something and didn't say so

it definitely makes ur hair darker but if u have light hair it'll turn it an auburny colour! i guess it also depends on where ur buying it but generally the good stuff goes auburn
