Hee hee, when did he have the time to tell you this story? Either way, can you imagine the crimes you'd get away with?

He told me this when I asked him for his SSN. His reasoning for not wanting to give it out was perfectly understandable. The general rule we followed was to ask twice, explaining why we needed it. If, after the second time, they still refused, we just moved on without it. We did have to explain to them, though, that they would be contacted by the company later for that.
