i've noticed that when i'm programming heavily (longterm), i start spelling things out phonetically / my spelling worsens a lot

i have no idea why this happens but it happens to another person i know as well

I blame stress, heavy workload and lack of sleep.

Thank god for modern technology doing spell check for us.

I think as we get older it's normal.
one time, I even forget my password which I key in every other day. It get so worse, we called the IT dept to reset the password.

I think I was a better speller in middle school than I am now.

On the plus side, I was the only one in fifth grade to know the difference between they're, their, and there.
I was also the only one who knew how to spell Wednesday correctly.

We all get stupid as we grow older.
