Automatic. =P

It wouldn't hurt me to learn to drive a manual, though.
I just don't think I'd want to own one. Driving a stick sounds like something
that would be a royal pain around here, especially in morning traffic.

Thats why I'm glad I go to school at night XD. Here in Jacksonville, morning traffic is a b***h

I work in the mornings, unfortunately. XD Most mornings I have to fight the
school traffic; stop-and-go traffic from everybody turning on the little road
that leads to the middle/high school, buses constantly stopping on
both sides of the road to pick kids up, drivers cutting each other off
trying to sneak into the wall of traffic, people trying to pass each other...
it's ridiculous.

I don't even live in a big place like Jacksonville. The problem is that out where
I live, there's just ONE two-lane highway that takes you to both the middle
school and the high school. When school is out for the summer, most of the
traffic dissapears with it.

Driving home between 5 and 6 PM, which I don't usually have to do (thank GOD)
isn't much better. Mainly because most of the drivers out here are self-righteous idiots that believe they own the road, and there just happens to be more of
them out at that time. I constantly have to slam on breaks to avoid getting
into wrecks. =/

Damnnnnn you wrote me a book lol, I used that as my bedtime story before I went to bed XD. But yeah traffic sucks, here especially when they start closing lanes for road repairs. Ohhhhh how I hate that lol. Stuck in heavy traffic with a 5 speed I guess isn't all that bad because if it were an automatic I'd just fall asleep lol

My bad. XDD I ramble.

That sounds fantastic, lol. When they do construction here, I might as well
put the car in park, because I'll be there a while. XD They can only let one
lane go at a time, a certain number of cars at a time... fun stuff.

I can't imagine having to mess with a stick shift in that, but I guess it
wouldn't be as bad as I think if you're used to it.

Yeah there's ALWAYS construction going on here so I have to take detours often to get to school on time. And yeah once you're used to it, it isn't all that bad especially for me lol I can't drive an automatic now. I'm so used to manual that when I got in my buddy's automatic Civic I kept pressing the brakes by accident looking for the clutch XD. Where do you live?
I'd rather daily an automatic. Anything else, spirited driving time, track time, hooning time, fun time, etc, i'd rather have a manual.

The last manual car I had had a grinding second and no 4th.
automatic for a DD. Manual for weekend fun
Manual all the way!
The only vehicle at home that's automatic is the truck to tow the trailer.
Loved having a stick in my mustang until I got into traffic or wanted to change the radio station but was too busy shifting.

If I have a sports car then I prefer a stick but for everything else I will take an auto.

Which is better a stickshift or an automatic? I prefer a manual, better gas mileage, less problems, and a lot more fun to drive.

I agree with you,but to me the only problem with stickshift is when you are stuck in Atlanta traffic. : / I love the way the car shifts when you switch gears, automatic is so boring. You really can't race with it.
You don't drive an automatic, you steer it.
Automatic for drag racing. Manual for road racing. Turbo 350.
