Welcome to Gaia! ::

Got rid of my old car over winter break and got a new one. I guess the previous owner had the blue windshield wiper fluid in there... And now it's frozen. Not a big deal really I suppose, the roads here are covered in s**t but it never gets on the window.

Anyway, I'm living in a dorm so I don't have a warm place to park it to thaw it, nor do I really want to take the entire reservoir out and walk all the way across campus with it to bring it back to my room. We've had a few warmer than freezing days, but no luck. I tried to put a little of the winter stuff in there to see if it'd help, but nope.

Any other ideas?

Heat up some antifreeze (on a stove, don't nuke it) and top off the reservoir and poke it with a stick; that should solve the problem and keep it from reoccurring.

put a bit of 90% desinfectant alcool (or good ol' Vodka) in it with -40 grade windshield washer fluid and wait a couple of hours..

always wanted to try that xd xd xd

or else the previous poster had the solution I think...

I swear by it personally. Keep this stuff flowing through it and this problem will never happen again, and if it does, you might consider moving somewhere that's not -40F xp
