My Eclipse is so fast it kills people. It also gets so many MPG that it's the reason all the middle easterns are pissed off and jacking up oil prices.
Good thing I never said any of that.

It's funny why do all the people above me say I made the trip. But you say I didn't? Could all the people up there be wrong? Or are you wrong because that more likely. If you are getting less then 30 mpg highway then you are on the boost all day and this means you don't know how to drive your car right.

I love watching this guy post. I just got fired today and I needed a laugh, thanks for spouting your BS on the web again.
lol @ themanover there. alright dude we get it. Thats cool that you get 31mpg. high five to you. Now back on topic. Maybe look into a scion tc or a celica gts. Both good cars with good mpg
I don't think you're going to find it. And, even if there is a "sporty" car that can somehow achieve 30+ combined MPG, it's not going to achieve it if you drive it anywhere close to spiritedly.

1JZ-GTEs can be known to get 25 combined MPG. But, as soon as you go on boost, watch that fuel gauge turn to empty. It's just the hard truth. You want sport, you're going to have to sacrifice some gas. Basically, you may as well continue to drive the Prius if you care so much about fuel economy.

Yes, because you should NEVER drive your sports car like a sports car, right? That'd just be wrong. That turbo should NEVER be used. You're on boost, you're doing it wrong! wink

I'm just in a state of awe really
it's not a matter of driving a sports car like a sports car, think about it a little only a little

what does a car do when it goes into boost? maybe.... compensate for the extra air?
do you see how you're going to get better mpg, when the car dumps more fuel?

wow.... I really don't understand how a turbo works then.... maybe he can explain it to us, I didn't think that a turbo leaned out a car to increase mpg

Hello everyone.

I currently drive a 2002 Toyota Prius, which is great concerning MPG as I go to college over an hour from where I currently live. Other than the MPG though, I really hate the car. It's constantly giving me different error codes, and it's hard to drive through the mountains where I live. And honestly, it's not really a car you'd find a college guy driving....more like a mom car.

So I'm here to ask one question: Are there any sporty cars that get decent gas mileage? Definitely something with 30+ combined MPG. The more the better. Also, please consider that my budget is that of college student. Thanks!

The new 2012 Ford Focus is looking more sportier.. don't take my word for it though.. I found a youtube video that you might like an in-depth view

Pro tip. Never trust mpg quotes from advertisements. Btw, who the ******** buys V6 muscles cars? Those are for women to look good in. A man owning and driving a V6 Mustang is worse than him owning and driving a minivan.

Lol. Because, these days, the v6 is very stout and very well made. 300 HP is more than enough in a sports car that's not going to be raced. And, it is extremely possible to get 30 mpg. If the guys I know can get 25 mpg with 800 hp N/A V8s, I'm sure Ford can get 30 mpg with a 300 HP v6. And if you actually knew anything about the rest of the car, you would probably agree.

Cool story, bro. I got some friends that have cars with jet boosters on them. We go out to the Sonic's on Jupiter sometimes. We get like 35mpg, but we have to fly around in top gear all the time, which is totally lame.

There's a reason I think you're a complete douchebag. You bash anyone who has a sensible and reasonable idea, but have nothing to actually contribute to the thread. Good luck in life.
