Have you looked at other rims at all?
yea i have. Trying to fit in with the fab which is "flush" lol.
Why? Hella flush or flush or what ever is for dumb a**'s who like ******** you there car. It's stupid to do it a dd car. You're talking about new tires ever month and you're rid is going to make so no chicks want to be in it. No chick like a broken back with ever car rid. It's IMO looks stupid.
being flush does not make your car ride like s**t. It means making the cars tires even with the fenders so that they are not sunken in. With a camber kit and a subtle drop my car's tires will wear out evenly. My gf drives my car so I could car less if girls want to be in it or not. that being said i'm not looking to super camber out my wheels. Just a rim wide enough with the correct offset to sit flush, no poke and no sunken
Trust me, when you drop your car to the point of removing bump stops, no one who wants a comfortable ride will want to go with you. I like having no suspension travel, most people don't like it though because of the roughness. It can also leave you at the side of the road with a cracked oil pan, busted control arms, and much more than you can imagine if you do not drive carefully. Air ride is a more comfortable solution, but costly AF.
As for tires go, just pick up some hard compound cheap tires and stretch them over, I got a good 19,000 out of some coopers stretched around 18x10 sportmax 521's.
If you want flush, go to
Stance Works. Consult with them to see if low it right for you. If not just go semi flush, semi slammed.
I got some KYB gr2's coming in, an 18mm sway bar, and some tanabe springs sitting on my floor ready to be cut so I can slam my lil semi slammed project.
lol I do want to slam the car, but i'm just on sleeves and tokico whites. so it doesnt get that low. Just gonna try a subtle drop to tire, maybe tuck a little bit, spacers, and call it a day. and 19000 miles out of cooper stretched tires, thats pretty good. How much did it cost you per tire? Why didnt you get the kyb AGX. I heard the gr2's were more OEM like.
The car is an elantra gt, and it gets like 40mpg on my way to LA. Its no sports car (beat a 325i yesterday from a 40 mph roll) but it gets the job done. I dont want to spend too much in terms of upgrades so I am going a cheap route. Plus I am getting the tiburon gr2's, because they are meant for a much heavier car, so it should make up the difference for the AGX's. It weighed in at 2691lbs at a truck scale with a 1/4 tank of gas, while the tiburon is over 2900 dry.
The AGX's are too pricey, and I could pick up some pretty decent coilovers for that much. I got the springs for $25 and the strut bar for $40 from a friend, both were lightly used, but no visible damage. The strut bar made a world of difference in handling.
The coopers were around $150 per tire. That car was an na 88 rx7 that was stripped down, and stanced on megan racing coilovers, with a s**t ton of negative camber in the rear. The tires wore pretty well, and if i remember correctly supposed to go on 18x8 or 7. Cannot remember the specs, but I got them from express tire with a bunch of discounts.
Stance I am going for

Losing to RX7 at 90mph

40mpg
Its an auto with really long gear ratios, 3rd gear topped out at 115 mph, hyundai was high when they made this tranny.
