I kind of wish that the US gets the Toyota version instead of the FR-S, just because I like the 86 badge on the side. lol

But yeah, all three (GT-86, FR-S, BRZ) are all RWD, light weight, and Toyota/Subaru boxer engine cars. At ~1200 lbs, RWD, and near-CoG, it must handle really well around the corners. Definitely makes the spirit of the AE86 proud.

You mean 1200 kilograms. That translates to 2700 lbs. The Ariel Atom weighs more than 1200 lbs.

Wish it was 1200lbs xD
be all over it
Thing would be like a bat outta hell
Looks like I need to do some work to my e30 to keep up with these when they come out.

I bet the resale of the scion will end up higher because less people will buy it. (Thinking about the firebird and camaro)

Oops! Yeah, got the units wrong there. lol Still, they are light cars that seem lots of fun to drive in. xp I'm really looking forward to their street debut, but I can guess that the insurance will probably jump in a year or less for them after release.

well, according to a magazine, the Scion model will have less features available for the basic model... not sure if there will be different edition eg. S, ES, GS.... with option packages....

does somebody have the information?
I don't think those information are available for the Canadian market yet but still...

From what I've heard they've only announced one model for launch, but they have stated there will be other versions including a TRD version in the future

And I bet there will be an STi version as well... cool
I'd get the Subaru, because this is car that's within Subaru's design of having a boxer and being RWD-based AWD cars, and having the motor all the way back in the engine bay. Toyota hasn't made a decent car in eons. I wouldn't trust them, even if both companies worked to produce the same car.
