If you mean DSM'ing, you mean looking great for an almost 20 year old car? Then that sounds pretty good.

Have you looked into the 4g64 block w/the 4g63 head? The low end from that would be amazing combined with the 4wd and the turbo would make it feel nice and smooth like a roots type supercharger.

Maybe you should get an evo 8 for 10 grand with 100k miles and rebuild it if your tired of the DSM problems.
You need to remember that dsm's are magical creatures, so things tend get broken or go missing when not looking. rofl

I was considering Evo X
It's not that I'm tired of DSM issues, I'm used to it by now. I just want something that handles a bit better, and If I do get this job, there's a lot of options open to me

And that DSM magic worked it's magic on my oil pressure switch harness, which poofed
Yeah, DSM's eat themselves it seems. Kinda like a really cool looking dog with fleas biting its self.

Better handling? Got a new sway bar installed, and it handles much better than new. I can only imagine what it will be like with the springs and shocks ;D

What kind of suspension setup are you running?

I have always heard great reviews about JIC's coilovers, but they are just so hard to find. I did find one page that has them from Road Race. I would seriously consider that.

As far as the evo X goes.

I would skip the evo X and go for the ralliart then swap in the evo X GSR tranny, AEM FIC, FMIC, and a GT30R on the stock turbo mani. Already handles like a champ, but I would probably go for a set of tiens and leave them at stock ride hieght.

So many possibilities with the Ralliart.

The X still looks much sexier, and stock, faster, sounds better, and feels much tighter. Not a fan of the auto manual in the MR. I hate it because of the launches, otherwise great for driving around the city in traffic.

I was seriously considering a Ralliart, specifically the sportback, I've seen so much come from those, the only thing that changed my mind was the S-AWC system as apposed to the S-AYC, I just can't convince myself I'd be better off

As far as the suspension setup for my car, talk to Roofie, he's in charge of that setup. I've driven so many different setups on these cars, and a sway bar is worlds difference, specifically the front, but I haven't seen that anyone makes one bigger than a 7/8"

Right now though my suspension is stock, which means GR2's and an a** that sticks up way to high, just waiting for him to get everything to put together

There's really no company that's actually really went into road racing R&D on a DSM, so very few actually make really aggressive parts

My other thought was to get a cheaper small Crossover and build a legit rallycross setup
I mean like, gutted, anti-lag, caged, corner-balanced straight up rally car, and that made me look at that new Outlander

I like that new Hyundai Tucson, my mom got one of them and I am surprised what that 2.4 liter can do. The 6 speed doesnt hurt either lol

They make turbo kits for the forte koup that bolt right on to it, since they share the same engine, but its 4wd.

Just a thought...

Yeah, not many people saw the potential that DSM's had as a track monster. I may think of picking up an old school DSM and throwing on a used 20g turbo. Build it up to specs from the 90's when 11 seconds was ungodly fast for any car to run in the 1/4.

Maybe when I get another job I can afford it, cant even afford to get shocks and springs installed D: FML

I'm really happy that DSMs are beginning to not be the cool car anymore
I notice that like 2-3 years ago, everyone wanted one and they were everywhere, so glad that's not the case anymore. but with that, it's for some reason, still expensive to buy one, they're still selling for like 3k

Yeah, they became popular with F&F around...

around here 2g dsm's are the only expensive ones, but it is really hard to find an un riced one in california. Every wannabe gangster threw on 20' chrome wheels a huge wing and a fart can.

I only want a TSi/GSX, and some 1g's around here are going for around 1 grand in non running condition. A lot of the 1g's are unmolested, around here, because we dont really get snow, so no wannabe snow drifters or rust biggrin
This has gotten quite off subject, hasn't it?
