Ahhhh road worthy cars are SO much cooler!!!

I got a friend with a 2008 WM HSV Senator Signature with full Walkinshaw engine upgrade and an eaton supercharger.
420kW street legal smile

"A mate of a mate of a mate," I think we've heard all of that before LOL. If you consider 4WD VS 4WD, it took a 400kW GTR to beat my time the last Winton day(NSW VS VIC) The car's been taken to within tenths of the national record at that track(veteran driver at the wheel about three license classes higher than myself) The closest to your "m8's" car we had on the day was a Maloo Ute, putting down easily over that.

He didn't even make the top ten. Couldn't keep it tidy enough. xd

Also, remember that we have to run within category rules(or go up one or two classes then get slaughtered) On the street, there are no rules. Which is fine as far as parity goes because there is practically no skill required to street "race." blaugh

yeah but when your 16 it's kinda hard to drive a car on the road that's why the track is better

You're lucky to be getting such an early start m8, getting your racecraft right at that age will put you out ahead of many blokes when you go up a level or two. Do you compete inter-state as well?

nah we race at the same track every weekend and we went to another track to race against their 4 cylinder juniors my car sucked coz they race anti clockwise and we race clockwise so my car is set up for clockwise we changed the springs around but it still had no handling anyway my mate has a torana set up for both ways he dominated. so in answer to your question no i dont.

and also i put in the application for the tuner guild

Sounds good m8 seeya there. Ought to try the circuit some time, but its quite prohibitive cost-wise to be really competitive even at the Club level now. Privateer cars are getting faster and faster, with specific workshops having their own specialist "time attack" cars come out.

Oh, me? Depends on who brings what don on the day m8. The worse beating I've ever taken was when the tarmac rally boys came down, and we learnt what it really means to "drive" a car fast. And sometimes, just sometimes, the odd open-wheeler shows up and blows everyone to kingdom come. Its generally a mix of all the popular models:

BNR32-34's(GTR variety) A literal ocean of later-model Evo's, a good number of Rexies, S13's to S15's, the Hachi boys, the FWD guys with the Hondas and Corollas, and the very special days when the old schoolers bring their GrpA or B Touring cars down to mix it up with us(or rather, beat us down so we don't get too cocky LOL) These are usually the old R31's, ex V8SC's from a few years ago, Carrera Cup cars and 944 trophy challenge drivers.

Its all good fun but, and you get to find out where you stand in the overall scheme of things.
so your class is genuinely open class
Where do you usually place coz some of those car sound pretty quick

I compete across Victoria, from Calder all the way to Winton. Sandown, the island, I go to all the tracks. Its a pity they don't open up Broadford more often but, its quite fun.

Nice m8, seeya in there!
I too am confused about how to race. None of the responses really seem to say. Will you let me know if someone gives a substantial answer?
