I like it when people's battery dies they think it is the battery and not the alternator or another part of the charging system.

and also when they think its dead, they think its dead forever.

My battery lasted 2 years but it was a cheaper battery I believe in a used car I bought. I don't remember changing my battery in my old car LOL. Conditions matter depending on your area and how much you use the car it could be anywhere from 3 to 5 years give or take.

Why would a stealership lie to you?! If they were lying they would have you replace the alternator and the battery! =P and find 10 other broken parts on your car. All on your dollar though
