So the Detroit auto show has done their press show and theres a pretty good amount of stuff to be excited about heres a little bit of it


The new Porsche Boxter
It actually looks ******** nice
Im actually fairly surprised by this one, the Boxter traditionally looks like a sandal, but they cleaned it up pretty nicely

Hyundai unveiled their Veloster Turbo, still FWD, but I wont complain



The genesis coupe already gets a redesign
Didnt take long

And GM had a whole load of announcements this year, like:



Sonic RS, a turbo version of the sonic, with around 140hp, making it a little bit zippier



The new Code 130R
Their new demographical direction I clear now, with this Baby camaro



The Tru 140S was designed to be an affordable exotic, these two concepts show their hopes to capture the new generation of car owners

And lastly this far



The C6 Corvette 427, GMs official last hoorah for the C6 corvette, this new vette comes with 505hp in an LS7 and special 60th anniversary Badging

Out of that list I'm liking the new Porsche. For once the Boxster looks decent.
The veloster is pretty interesting, not really digging the Genesis redesign.
With the Sonic, lets hope GM doesn't ******** up and forget about the brake pads again. : P

What's relevant today you ask?



Cadillac ATS
Cadillac's next crack at the 3-series BMW, their banking on a 50/50 ratio, curb weight under 3600lbs and a 318hp 3.6L V6 to take down the 3-series dominance in its class
as well a a base of 200hp from a 2.5L I4 or a newly designed turbo-charged I4 pushing around 270hp, looking forward to seeing how this performs



The New Dodge Dart, I have high hopes for this guy, taking the place of the POS Caliber, Dodge remade the classic dart using an Alpha chassis and an undisclosed engine developed by Fiat that they promise will be fun and powerful. Their eyes are pegged on the Focus and Elantra as competition

Lastly
and my favorite announcement thus far....
The newly redesigned Ford Fusion



Pickin' up what they're puttin' down?
Aggression is what they're getting at, with a new 2.5L I4 with 170hp, a turbocharged (or ecoboost) 1.6L with 176hp, or a turbo-charged (ecoboost) 2.0L with 237hp, all are coming 6-speed transmissions

And more importantly, the 2.0L comes AWD

A step forward for them and a preview of what's in store for the future of the auto industry, notice, the Fusion has no V6, small displacements and turbo-chargers ar becoming more and more the theme of the industry now

Well back in the day the Dart was pretty much the economy car so I can see where they are going with this. I honestly don't mind it, it's nothing more than a name.

Not really a name can mean more the just being a word and title. It carriers the memory and thoughts with it. When you say charger most people tthink of power muscle cars and awsome not family. The dart was a cheaper muscle car for the low end family yes, but one you would say yes I get to take the kids to school.
