The thing is, Hennessey and Saleen don't make their own engines, they mod existing ones

BMW IS producing a twin-charged or tri-turbo car
This is known already, one of them is in the 4-series they've been toting around everywhere but keeping tight-lipped

And the Tesla S is doing exceptionally well. it's highly respected right now and critically acclaimed
The only reason they aren't everywhere is because Tesla doesn't have the facilities to produce the volume demanded

There's really no such thing as a stagnant market right now, everyone is trying to find the next big seller

As far as hybrids go though
No, they aren't
Example being Fisker actually
There's a reason they'r talking about a V12 Karma their "all-electric" though an amazing idea
Just isn't doing very well

But on the other hand, you have AMG and Porsche making electric super-cars
Audi and Mitsubishi as well
All making electric cars
Mitsubishi making a new Mirage

-Hybrids are doing just fine; hybrids, to clarify. NOT all electric. Hybrids. There is a difference. Mind telling me how Prius' ARENT doing well?
- Electric super cars? Okay, sure they're an experiment, but the super car market isnt exactly a very large and unstable market.
- I mentioned Fisker as someone experimenting; not as someone doing well.
- I did mention electric cars doing okay. Like the miev and the leaf.

I don't think you quite understand what I mean by an experiment.

- If its already proven, its not an experiment.
- If its only a little change, it isnt an experiment.

-Datsun is not proven, this is a brand new company with an old name
-Prius is doing well, but the Pruis isnt the only hybrid, or hybrid system, matter of fact almost no one else uses the same hybrid system
-Super Cars are disgustingly stable, they sold just as well during the recession as they did before and after

I fail to see where any of these changes are "little"
They're completely new things
Right now, everyone's fighting for a definitive use of alternate clean energy

- If its built off the same principles of the old company; its proven.
- I never said this was not so. But the concepts are all the same. They all use an electric motor in tandem with a gasoline/diesel engine. Whether regenerative breaking or threshold activation or whatever is involved; its the same concept.
