Welcome to Gaia! ::

This past weekend I spent every waking hour pulling apart this car's front end, then getting everything that was ******** up from the jy, and putting them on my brother's car. The thing is, one of the things I didn't notice until I had pulled off the radiator/frame, is that half of the power steering pulley is missing. Now, my question to you all is, how in the hell is it supposed to be removed? If the entire power steering pump needs to be taken out, then so be it, I just want to be sure it's the right way before I start tearing it apart (btw, its freezing cold out in the parking lot, and windy as ********). I'm making a Google search after posting this, but figured I might as well try my luck here too in case anyone can give me advice and/or what I should/shouldn't do here.

Depends on the clearance you have, go to the parts store and rent the tool for it
the pulley needs a specialty tool to be removed

Hmm yeah. It sucks that its made of plastic as opposed to metal, so I can't use a pulley puller on it. At least it's not as bad as I though, and the power steering pump can stay on (it can't be removed with the pulley in place either way). I'll get the tool rented on friday, and hopefully finish by then.
Took me... a little while longer than I'd wished, but I got the pulley replaced. The tool I rented for the job was pretty busted, but I made do with it, and hey... stripped as it was, the autozone guys accepted it back no questions asked.
The junkyard radiator is working fine too. No leaks or anything. The hood fits in perfectly, though the latch system was bent to s**t, so that's been added to the list for this weekend. Not to mention the squeaky-a** serpentine belt is loud as ever once again. No problem, more s**t I need to buy, that's all.
At least the car is driveable, and he only needs to use it three days this coming week, so I'm not gonna worry too much about it. And its payday this friday, so I'll have the money to dump on new pulleys if I need to.
