❝ s**t. I slept in my uniform again. ❞ Without even needing to open her eyes Roxanne could tell she had passed out after her shift at the Chinese restaurant in her red and gold Chinese dress. This meant it was going to have to be sent to the cleaner's again, her old man would b***h, and it would just be a real pain in the a**. She let her eyes flutter open only to quickly snap closed when the sun's rays practically blinded her. Shielding her eyes with the back of her hand she sat up in a huff. Roxanne hated early mornings. It would definitely be the very death of her. She would really like to just drop out of school and work full time. But her father would slay her for the very thought. Scratching her head and yawning before finally forcing herself off the bed thinking to herself, ❛ best to get out of my uniform before dad catches me and has another fit . . . ❜ She slipped over to her dresser. Nearly tripping over the edge of her bed. Only just banging her knee instead of going down. ❝ Ouch! Dammit! ❞ Clutching her leg she put a hand to her mouth and listened to find out if her father had heard her. The man loved rushing into her room whenever he thought she was in danger (or trying to sneak out). When she didn't hear him thundering toward her room she relaxed. Focusing now on getting changed instead of the throbbing of her knee.

Pulling on the draw to the dresser gave her a bit of trouble like always. The darn thing always loved to snag on something. Perhaps she should start folding her clothes instead of just stuffing them in there. Nah. Pulling out a white h&m shirt, black jeans, a bra, and some underwear she then slowly walked to the door. She turned the knob gently and peeked out the door. Her father's door that was right next to her was closed. Which could only mean he was still asleep. Balling up a fist and thrusting it up in the air in a small victory. ❛ YES! ❜ She screamed in her head and mouthed to herself. Now for the next trial. Sneaking past his room without waking him. Which was going to be a real test. For some reason the hotel manager gave them the ******** creakiest room at Twilight Apartments. Sneaking out at night to hang out with her gang was practically impossible. It wasn't like she could just go out the window on the fourth floor. She wished they could move out of this place and actually have a real house. If only her mother hadn't kicked her father out. Maybe he could have had time to land on his feet. Shaking her head of those thoughts. She didn't want to make herself upset over it again.

Biting her lower lip she proceeded out or her small room to the bathroom right passed her father's room. She paused every time she heard a creak under her foot. Making glances at her father's room every so often. When she finally reached the bathroom she let out a breath of relief. Quickly she went in and locked the door behind her. ❝ I was so a ninja in a past life. ❞ Happy with herself she shed her Chinese dress and started the water in the shower. Dumping her outfit of the day on the counter across from the shower. Then she hung up her uniform on the hanger on the back of the door to the bathroom. Feeling accomplished and ready for a hot shower, she stepped it. Screaming when the freezing cold water shot at her back instantly waking her father and probably any neighbors.

                                                          timeskip

After her shower was complete, she was fully clothed, and her father was assured that she wasn't sexually assaulted she snuck her Chinese dress into her room and hung it up on the back of her door. Roxanne seriously wished the front desk would call them when the water was going to be arctic cold. After she was sure the dress was safe in her room she headed back to the bathroom and dried her hair. Using her fingers instead of a brush. Her father pounded on the door saying it was his turn to use the bathroom. Groaning she quickly threw on some light make up and surrendered the bathroom to him. Returning to her room she grabbed a pair of white socks and shimmed her feet into them. Then grabbed her old ankle converse sneakers and slipped into them. She tied the laces tight still using the old bunny ears trick her sister had taught her when she had learn how to do it. Staring at her shoes she thought about how maybe she should cut Ronny some slack. Ever since the divorce the two barely look at each other. No. Ronny should make the first move. Roxy couldn't help, but think her twin sister only stayed with their mother because she lucked out and got to keep the house and everything. Roxy knew Ronny disliked the woman. Everyone did. So that could be the only explanation, right.

Cursing herself for bring horrible old memories up that she would rather not deal with at the moment. She should be focusing on prom. Roxanne still needed a date. Normally she couldn't give a rat's a** about events like these. But something about picturing herself slow dancing with a certain fella was kinda nice. The blonde wasn't the kind to see herself as prom princess or anything. But still. It was still kind of swoon worthy to vision. Even a tomboy like her wanted a knight in shinning armor. As long as he saw her as his equal, that is.

She picked up her stone-age flip phone and started tapping away on it. As she texted her Olivia she narrowed her eyes at the thought of her sister have one of those new iPhones. ❛ Mother will just buy you whatever you want, won't she? ❜ She scolded at the ugly thought. Was she really jealous? Or was she just complaining? Finishing her text she read it over to herself to check for spelling errors. She hated texting like a five year old. It only took a few seconds to complete the word "you," instead of just "u." Gah. It made her angry reading messages like that. Once her text was spell check she clicked send.

                                                          TO: OLIVE xxxxxxx FROM: ROXY
The hot water was off in my apartment again!
                                                          Gaah. I hate living here.
Can I just come live with you instead<3?

Roxanne wished she could, but she could never leave her dad. Although he was the one who cheated she'd forgive him over and over again. The woman who forced him to marry her, well, who could blame him for it? Letting out a raspberry and grabbing her messenger bag she left her room to their small kitchen/living room. Grabbing a poptart from the pantry she wave a goodbye to her father. ❝ I'll be home after work tonight. ❞ Her gave her a goodbye in return and waved her off and she was out the door. Roxanne looked back at the thirteen on the door. It was unlucky for some, but for her it was probably her favorite number. Walking down the hall to the elevator and clicking the down button. Soon came the usual ding and the doors opened right up. Stepping inside she pressed the first floor button and down she went. At the ground level the doors opened and she zipped through the lobby, giving the front desk a glare. Outside there were cars sitting by the front door while their owners checked in. Walking past them she headed straight for the sidewalk the lead straight to the high school. As she walked the same path the blonde took every school day she clicked her tongue in boredom trying to recall if she finished the English paper that was due on Monday. Seriously, what teacher assigns a research paper the weekend of prom? Maybe she could her her friends to egg her teacher's house after prom.

Upon reaching the school she pulled out her phone. Expecting a text from one of her besties only to see no new messages. Blowing another raspberry without thinking and became embarrassed when she caught others looking at her. ❛ Now I've started blowing raspberries in public. Great. At least the guys didn't see that one. ❜ And she thanked the lord for that.

                                      Beep! Beep! Beep!

As the alarm clock continued to grow louder and louder, a female hand reached up and went for the snooze button just so she could have a few more moments of uninterupted sleep. Unfortunately for the drowsy teenager, her hand was not able to locate her alarm clock. Well that was weird, it should've been right around here. Her eyes blinked open, and after a survey of her surroundings, realized why she couldn't shut off her alarm. She had fallen asleep at her desk, on the opposite site of the room. Groaning and rubbing her head, she stood up and walked over to shut off her alarm. Why had she fallen asleep on her laptop? She could barely remember - OH! That was right . . .

She had just gotten home from her shift at the Chinese place she worked at. She had just changed into her pajamas when she made a quick trip to her laptop to check to see if her chats with her friends had continued on, she had found an email from the teacher advisor for student council. He wanted her to make a 'Last day to buy prom ticket' flyer and post them up tomorrow. She could understand why she needed to make them, something about her being student body president or some nonsense like that, but posting them? Wasn't that the other members' job? Or even the teacher advisor? Sighing, the girl shook her head and went to work on the posters that took her most of the morning to complete.

"Ashley! Come down for breakfast!" Ashley snapped out of her memory from the prior night and ran out of the room where she could see her parents at the breakfast table "Be down in a bit Mom!" Running back to her room, she hit the 'print' buttonfor her flyers, letting them continue to print until she had to leave. After searching for a little bit, she pulled out an outfit that would be hers for the day and made her way to the bathroom to shower and get ready in any other way in the bathroom.

Stepping out some time later, outfit on, teeth bushed, hair blowdried and brushed, she met up with her parents, only to have her papers handed to her in a manilla envelope from her dad along with her school bag and a coffee cup (full of what else -coffee!) by her mother before being sent on her way. Ashley wished she could have at least spent a few minutes with her parents before running off to school to hang up the flyers, but there was always dinner or breakfast the next day.

Driving to school was pretty simple (she could do her daily drive her in sleep). A few turns here and there and going down the main street to the school for a few blocks. Pulling into a parking space, she got all her things together, took a large sip of her coffee, and strapped her bag over her shoulder and exited the car. Making it to the first post she could find, she pulled out a flyer and some tape, sticking it to the post before moving to the next one she could find, and the next one after that. After about the thirtieth flyer hung up, she sighed, already bored with her task. She flipped open her phone and typed a message on her touch screen

Sending the text, she gave another sigh and went back to work on hanging up flyers.

THURSDAY NIGHT :: 7PM TOWA RECORDS
7PM at night and the usual crowd of people at TOWA records was finally starting to die down. The business at Wonderland, Traverse Town's local mall was slowing down as everyone prepared to close for the night. Presently there were two employees working at TOWA, Tristan and another Korean male by the name of Harper. The two were on the closing shift that night so after the mall closed the two males were responsible for the task of cleaning up the store and making sure everything was ready for the next day before locking up. Thanking a woman who had just purchased a collection of cds, Tristan observed as she exited the store before letting out a sigh and leaning against the counter. The store was now empty and, with any luck, that would be their last customer of the night. Tristan had no idea where Harper was, he'd disappeared a little bit ago although he had to still be in the store somewhere.

Giving the store a once over to confirm that there were no customers left Tristan came out from behind the counter, scanning the aisles in search of where Harper could have wandered off to. He found Harper in one of the aisles near the back of the store, kneeling down on the floor and attempting to pick something off the carpet. When Tristan saw what he was picking at he couldn't help but laugh to himself. Harper turned, apparently having noticed Tristan's presence at this point. "Hey, who glued these quarters to the floor?" Harper questioned curiously, and Tristan laughed for a second time. "That would be me,"
Tristan answered simply, and Harper looked extremely confused. "Why would you glue quarters to the floor? What's the point in that?" Harper inquired, and Tristan rolled his eyes. "To see how many idiots like you tried to get them off the floor," He answered simply, as if the answer was already obvious. His hand came in contact with the back of Harper's head in a gesture that seemed to say 'idiot' before Tristan moved to the back of the store, finally switching off the annoying soundtrack of generic American music that had been playing ever since they had started their shift. Working was nice, it gave him some spare cash to spend, but his work hours were spent listening to artists like Justin Bieber and that Minaj woman - two people which, anyone that really knew music could tell you lacked any form of talent.

Plugging his iphone in he began playing music that both he and Harper enjoyed, the sounds of 2PM being heard throughout the store as the two males began working on cleaning every inch of the music store so that they could leave for the night.

Locking the safe that he had just stored all the money they had accquired during that day's work in, Tristan shut the door to the back room and locked that as well before approaching Harper who was currently leaning against the counter near the front of the store. "If you want to leave I can stay and finish locking up?" Harper offered, and Tristan nodded, seeming to like the idea. "Sounds great, I'll stay and cover for you some other night," Tristan offered, and Harper nodded, rolling his eyes. "Right, just get yourself home. And for crying out loud, will you stop daydreaming about her and just ask her to prom already," Harper demanded with a laugh. Tristan looked shocked, apparently understanding who it was Harper was referring to. Tristan had been drifting off a lot today, thinking about one specific girl and how on Earth he was going to ask her to prom. He only had one day left to do so because prom was on Saturday. Tristan shook his head, pretending like he didn't know what Harper was talking about. "Just hurry up and get the store locked up, and don't forget to lock the door this time," Tristan insisted as he gathered his things with intentions of leaving. Harper laughed, "Whatever you say Tae, everyone knows you want to ask her, just speak up already," He insisted. Tristan didn't return the comment, merely rolling his eyes as he exited TOWA records for the night, glad that he could finally return home, eat, and then collapse into bed for some needed rest.

As opposed to returning home and making himself something for dinner Tristan ended up ordering takeout from Land Of Dragons, being too lazy to even think about cooking for himself. He stopped at the Chinese restaurant to pick up his food and say hello to Ashley, one of his best friends for as long as he could remember. Of course as opposed to saying a mere hello and then leaving the restaurant with his food Tristan stayed to torment Ashley for a bit, apparently finding amusement out of doing so. He eventually returned home to discover that his parents were out of the house and his little sister was off doing something with friends. Tristan went through the process of eating, completing what homework he had left, and then showering and dropping into bed. It wasn't extremely late when he fell asleep but he was exhausted from the days activities so he had a good reason for wanting to sleep early.

FRIDAY MORNING :: 6AM THE SONG HOME (RADIANT GARDENS)
It was roughly six in the morning on Friday when Tristan's alarm began going off, the blaring noise echoing through his room in it's attempt to wake the sleeping Korean male from sleep. It took a good fifteen minutes worth of the obnoxious blaring before finally a hand reached from beneath the blankets and shut off the obnoxious noise. Tristan could be heard mumblingg something to himself in Korean that wasn't exactly understandable considering he was still half asleep before he sat up, the blankets falling off his body as the male lazily ran a hand through his messy black hair. He sat there for a moment before clambering out of bed, shuffling across his room and digging through his dresser for something he could wear to go jogging in. Finally he produced a pair of shorts and a t-shirt which he changed into, putting on his sneakers before leaving his room. He made his way downstairs and promptly exited the house, beginning his typical jog around the neighborhood the moment his feet hit the driveway.

Twenty minutes and a little over two and a half miles jog later Tristan returned home, now covered in sweat from his jog as a sign that it was rather warm today. Tristan had removed his shirt at some point during the jog in an attempt to cool himself off, although it hadn't worked all too well as he had still managed to sweat just as much as he had before. Stepping into the house Tristan shut the door behind him, kicking his shoes off before making his way upstairs to his room. After his jog Tristan was in obvious need of a shower so he wasted no time in locating clothes for school before wandering into the bathroom he had all to himself. Living in such a large house he was fortunate enough that he and his sister each got their own bathrooms, if they were forced to share there would probably be a war fought over the use of the bathroom every morning considering Mira took such a long time in there.

                            - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - { } - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

After taking a shower and getting dressed Tristan collected his things for school, chucking them all haphazardously into his bag before returning downstairs for breakfast before he headed to school. Tristan was capable of cooking, a skill which most teenage males did not have, his only challenge was actually motivating himself to cook. He had moments where he could be extremely lazy, such as last night. Thankfully today he felt up to cooking or else he might have ended up going to school on an empty stomach. Tristan's parents had already left for work so Tristan ended up preparing breakfast for only himself and Mira. Today he opted for a Korean style breakfast as opposed to a western style one, abandoning the usual pancakes and nutella toast for white rice, kimchi, and a pumpkin flavored porridge.

Tristan had just finished cooking when the sounds of footsteps on the stairs alerted him to the fact that Mira had apparently finished getting dressed now. As if on cue the brunette female rounded the corner and entered the kitchen, smiling brightly at her older brother who was in the process of doing the dishes so he didn't leave a mess behind when he went to school. "Morning oppa(1), you made breakfast?" She observed, and Tristan nodded, drying his hands off as he'd just finished washing the dishes. "I figured we both needed a good breakfast before heading to school," He answered, and Mira smiled. "My oppa is so caring~ You should win prom king," She teased which earned a laugh from Tristan, because while he was fairly popular at school he was by no means popular enough to win a spot on the prom court. That spot would likely go to some kind of jock, not to Tristan. "Yeah right," He joked, "Prom court will go to all the popular kids. Jocks and cheerleaders, not me," He insisted as he handed his younger sister a plate of food. Mira sighed, "I would vote for you," She remarked with a small pout as she began picking at her breakfast.

Tristan practically inhaled his breakfast, clearing his plate before setting it in the sink. Turning he spoke to Mira, informing her that he had to leave. "Listen, I've got to do some things before school so I've got to leave, you'll be able to catch a ride to school, right?"
He inquired. Mira looked up from her plate, raising an eyebrow. A smile tugged at her lips as she spoke. "Finally asking Veronica to prom?" She inquired simply and Tristan's eyes went wide. "Ah ha ha, Mi Cha you're funny. What makes you think that?" He asked, wondering to himself if his intentions had really been so obvious. He watched as Mira rolled her eyes, "I'm not stupid, I can tell you have a huggeeeee crush on her~ I'm sure she'll say yes oppa, so stop worrying," Mira stated simply before continuing to eat her breakfast. Tristan raised an eyebrow, "You really think so?" He inquired. Mira again rolled her eyes. "Of course, she's crazy if she says no, now hurry up and leave Mr. 'I have a brilliant plan," Mira demanded, waving Tristan away.

Tristan nodded, grabbing his bag off the kitchen floor before bolting out of the house, immediately beelining to his car. He felt kind of bad leaving Mira to figure out her own method of getting to school, but Mira had a ton of friends so he didn't think it would be too hard for her to find someone that could take her to school.

Tristan arrived at Traverse High School with plenty of time to spare, just as he planned. Pulling into his usual parking spot he collected his things, clambering out of his car and nudging the door shut with his foot. It took him some time to lock the car door as his hands were pretty much full at the moment, but eventually he succeeded and started into the school. Tristan probably looked like a huge dork as he was presently carrying flowers with him, part of his master plan to ask Veronica to prom. He had stopped off at the local florist this morning to pick the flowers up, having come up with what he thought was a brilliant plan to ask Veronica last night in the midst of doing his English essay. Apparently Tristan thought prom plans were a lot more productive than doing English.

Locating Veronica's locker Tristan glanced around, noting his surroundings and making sure nobody he knew was in sight, not wanting anyone to know he was the one who was going to put the flowers in Veronica's locker because that would ruin his entire plan. Again he was faced with the challenge of only having one hand to operate with as he had his bag and guitar case hanging from his shoulder and flowers in his other hand. After some struggle he succeeded in getting Veronica's locker open, knowing her locker combination just as she knew his - a perk of being best friends. He carefully set the flowers in her locker, noting that there was just enough room to fit them into her locker without squishing them. Attached to the flowers was a card with the word Prom? written on it in large letters, but the card was not signed with Tristan's name, instead it read from your secret admirer. Yes, Tristan wasn't going to let Veronica figure out who was asking her to prom until later. Much later. What was his plan, you might be asking?

Well, the flowers were just the start. Putting the flowers in her locker was done with the intention of making her wonder about who said secret admirer was, that way it was more of a surprise when he asked her to prom. He wasn't going to directly ask her to prom until lunch, his plan being to sing to her (hence why he had his guitar with him) and then confessing to being said secret admirer and officially asking her to prom. In Tristan's mind this plan was brilliant, at least brilliant for being so last minute. Just as Tristan was shutting the door to Veronica's locker he heard his cellphone go off in his pocket, indicating that he had a text from somebody. Starting off in the direction of his own locker Tristan produced his phone from his pocket, noting that he'd received a text from Ashley. Clicking the read button he scanned the message from her, smiling to himself before pocketing his cellphone. He didn't bother responding as he'd probably find Ashley after emptying all the books he didn't need for his first class into his locker. Opening the door to his locker he did just that, shoving the two heaviest textbooks into his locker, retrieving his music theory notebook and stowing that in his bag before slamming his locker door shut and heading off in search of Ashley.

He found her not too far away, the female apparently in the process of hanging up flyers, part of her class president duties apparently. "Morning Ash, need some help?" Tristan asked, before Ashley could really respond Tristan had taken some of the flyers from her, beginning to help her hang the flyers up so she didn't have to do it all by herself. He could understand why she didn't enjoy this, the task of hanging up flyers really wasn't all that entertaining. Tristan continued hanging the flyers though, occasionally stopping to glance over his shoulder in search of one particular blonde. He was kind of worried to see her reaction to the flowers, by this point slowly beginning to doubt his so called brilliant plan.

To say this morning was going to be different from any of the others Raychel Evans had had in her lifetime was not a true statement. In fact, all her mornings seem to go this way. She would get up to the blasting radio station she had set up as her alarm clock and roll out of bed about five minutes later. The girl would then spend the next song dancing (only if she enjoyed listening to the song, otherwise she would skip to the next step of her morning routine. Luckily for her today was one of the happier days) before running off to catch a turn at the shower before her brother stole the first turn.

Raychel kept forgetting that the shower was mainly ran cold water, so her shower was short-lived. At least she didn't have to worry about being scolded for stealing all the hot water in her shower (and other mutters about being a girl) from her family; that was the lovely thing about where they lived. Hollow Bastion . . . while it made living at home a little scary at times, it wasn't surprising that she was always happy to be at school and feel a little safer, which made her parents happy. Whether her brother had the same line of thought or not was a complete mystery.

Which reminded her - where exactly was her brother? Normally when he was up he would give her some sort of warning for when they would leave for school. But she heard nothing while she was getting dressed and ready for school, and nothing again while she made herself a quick breakfast. That was weird. They were really coming down to the wire on this - if he couldn't go with her, then she would have to go on the bus by herself. Once finishing her bowl of cereal she crept up to her brothers room to see what was his deal this morning.

As she entered her brother's room, she was met with his sleeping figure on his bed. Great, now she would have to wake him up or just leave him and take the bus. Raychel knelt by her brother's bedside, curiously watching her sleeping sibling. Hesistantly she lifted a finger and slowly moved it closer to him, poking his cheek once reaching her intended target. "Brother . . . " she whispered into his ear "Brother - it's time to get up." After a few more minutes of this, she eventually gave up and walked out of the room. He would have to figure out a way up and to school on his own, she needed to get to school on time and safely to please her parents.

Running out of the house, she was barely able to catch the bus, and once in a seat, immediatly began catching her breath. After a block or two, she was able to breathe normally again and began kicking her legs back and forth as she waited for her stop. She watched people leave and enter the bus before finally getting off near the school. With a little walk, she easily made it on campus and to her locker to get her things for the day. Hopefully Beat would decide to show his face sometime soon. Once getting her binders for her first two classes, she hugged them against her chest as she closed her locker and walked to where yet another prom flyer was hung up. A small smile crawled on her face. Not like she would go - she was too young. But she thought that her brother shoudl go; he deserved to have some fun now and then.

❝ HA! I kicked your a**, sucka! ❞ A loud victory squeal hit a suburban house in Radiant Gardens like a bomb. Had Veronica Rhodes woken up early to play more of her new video game before school again? That would be a big yes. Sitting in a green tee-shirt with a logo of a smile face and black shorts, her usual sleep attire, she was in front of the TV with a play station 3 controller in hand. Kicking zombie a**. ❝ Oh hi little zombie...BOMB. You're dead. ❞ Abruptly she stood up pausing the game and stuck a pose. ❝ Victory dance party of one. ❞ She started busting a move in triumph. Once her booty was shook she sat back down and started playing again. Veronica just wanted to skip school today and play. She had a few sick days. Why not? This game was intense and the blonde was a beast with a bat coated in zombie blood. Zombies could not hold her down and turn her. They were too busy getting shot in the head or hit by the car she had just jacked. If there ever was a real apocalypse all others would be turning to her for help in their survival. Veronica would be their absolute hero. It was her.

The only thing that could stop the girl from saving this pixelated wonder was the chime of her phone sitting in her lap. Almost scaring her half to death. Picking up her iPhone and opening up the new message from Ashley. ❝ The student council makes her do everything. ❞ Her best girlfriend was the esteemed student council president. The girl was brilliant and Veronica admired her for it. Almost kinda jealous of her. Okay, she was jealous of her. She was a whole year older than her too. Veronica hated feeling like the baby of the group. Surely her best guy friend Tristan would rather someone his own age as a prom date too. Not that she was thinking about asking him. That wasn't on her mind at all. Even if he didn't take Ashley. Which he probably already had as far as the blonde knew. Tristan could probably snag any girl he asked.

❛ Ok. Brain. It's time to stop thinking about Tristan and Ashley coupling up. ❜ Pushing her wacky emotions to the side for a minute and stared at her phone then at the television. Back to her phone. Back to the television. Back to her phone. ❝ Friends before zombies. I know. ❞ Nodding to herself she tapped the reply button with her phone. She typed back to her friend and then clicked send.

                                                          TO: ASHLEY xxxxxx FROM: RONNY
I'LL SAVE YOU FROM THOSE FLYERS!

Veronica hopped off the couch and ran upstairs to her room. Her mother was still asleep and would be until sundown probably. The woman was a night owl. Veronica wasn't going the complain. She may have taken pity on her when her mother had filed for divorce and kicked her father out. The woman had seemed so depressed and lonely. The girl couldn't help, but stay by her side. Her desire to keep her mother company turned her own twin sister against her in the long run. While she had stayed here her fraternal twin sister Roxanne had grown to think she was just staying with the more well off parent. Time and time again she had told her twin that wasn't the case, but no words would get through. So Veronica quit trying, getting pissed herself at her sister's attitude. Even if they weren't identical, they definitely both hated to be told they were wrong.

❛ Okay. Brain. Time to stop thinking about Roxy. ❜ Pushing thoughts of her sister over with the horrible Tristan and Ashley being a couple thoughts. Upsetting thoughts get grouped together in her mind. It was time to get dressed. Not make herself bothered. Having taken a shower last night the need for another one wasn't on her morning to-do list. Gliding over to her closet she picked out a white tee-shirt with a piece sign on the front and a pair of H&M jeans along with a bra and panties. Pulling her green top of and shimming out of her shorts.

                                                          timeskip

Once she was completely dressed she slipped some socks on along with her favorite Vans. Checking herself out in the mirror she ran her fingers through her naturally curly hair. ❝ Straight or curly today, Ronny? ❞ Eyeing her straighter she waved it away. ❝ Nah, Ronny, you look good. ❞ She did however gather her hair up and keep it in a tight pony tail. Her blonde curls trying to escape. Throwing a scarf around her neck and pushing shades over her eyes. ❝ Sexy dance party of one. ❞ Doing another funky dance before she strode out of her room and down the stairs. Before leaving she headed to the kitchen. Straight for the Keurig coffee maker and put in a french vanilla Keurig cup. She watched as the hot drink went into her to-go cup. Dancing in place she poured sugar into the cup after it was filled with her french vanilla. With a little cream added as well she was ready to head to school. Picking up her messenger back from the table she was finally out the door.

Hopping into her little jeep she pulled out of the driveway and onto the road. Instantly she turned on the radio and sung her heart out. If Tristan could hear her horrible tone deaf voice he'd probably laugh at her. Although at the volume she was singing at, he probably could. Her mouth was as big as her heart. And that was pretty ******** big. Arriving at school she got out of the car and slipped her sunglasses into her hair above her forehead. After taking the final big gulp of her hot drink she tossed it in the trash. Walking up to the school she spotted her sister. Quickening her pace she ran into the school not wanting to fight so early in the morning. Once they couldn't meet each other half way they had stopped talking for about a year now. Roxy was going to have to make the first move. And that was that.

Unable to locate her friend she took a side trip to her locker. She should lighten her load. Her chemistry book got heavy. Walking up to it she spotted a flower petal right in front of her locker. Picking it up and examining it. It was yellow and soft to the touch. ❝ Must have fell off the decorations for prom or something. ❞ All week the student council members had been bringing props, decorations, and supplies up and down the halls to set up prom out to the football stadium. Shrugging she held on to the petal and opened her locker. Her eyes widened at what was inside. Yellow Chrysanthemums(1). The petal she had been holding dropped from her hand. Her mouth dropped at the beautiful gift. Gently she took them from her locker and for once she was at a loss of words. Her voice just let out shocked little squeaks. When a card fell from the flowers she finally snapped from her mesmerizing gift. Picking the card up hoping to see who it was from only to see the words, "Prom? From your secret admirer." As an impulse her eyes quickly searched the surrounding area for anyone. Expecting the slightest hint on who it could be. Somebody wanted to take her to prom. This was an absolute first for her.

❝ I- ❞ She stuttered when no one could be found. A huge smiled coated her shocked expression from before. Suddenly at the top of her lungs she shouted, ❝ I'VE GOT A SECRET ADMIRER! ❞ Shutting her locker with a loud slam forgetting the reason she went to it in the first place was to put her heavy chemistry book inside. ❝ I have a secret admirer dance party of one! ❞ She shook her booty still holding her beautiful flowers only to stop the dance party short. Realizing something important. ❝ I totally have to show this off to Tristan and Ashley. ❞ Now she really had to find Ashley and tell her the good news. Running like the wind she finally found not only Ashley, but Tristan too. Lucky day! Speeding up waving her flowers in glee, ❝ GUYS! Look! Look what I got! ❞

When she reached them both she gave them a tackle glomp as she always did when greeting them. Proudly introduced her new present given to her by gods knows who, ❝ I've never gotten such a surprise before! Someone left these in my locker! Can you believe it? ❞ She barely gave her friends time to get a word in, ❝ Someone actually wants to take me to prom. Me! That is so nuts. I wonder who it is! ❞ She thought for about a millisecond before giving a guess, ❝ Oh. What if it's that guy in my chemistry class? He's always giving me flirty looks. ❞ Then she shook her head giving herself a smack on the forehead, ❝ No wait. It couldn't. He moved away. Like awhile ago. Duh. ❞ Finally shutting up for a second and actually taking a breathe she saw the flyers, ❝ Oh god. Sorry. ❞ She opened her hand open and closed as if it could talk, ❝ Blah blah blah again. I can help out. ❞ She smiled taking some flyers too to hang up. ❝ It's just so crazy. I'm so excited. Like who could it be, right? ❞ In her hype she didn't even think about her feelings about Tristan until she finally calmed down a bit. She eyed him up to see if he was jealous. Maybe now he'd want to ask her before Mr. Secret Admirer did. Yeah right.

Man, what was wrong with this whole situation. As she was hanging up posters and taking large sips of her coffee to keep her awake, a thought popped into her head. She didn't even have a date yet. She already had a ticket; her position in the council forced her to make an apperance at the dance along with the other members so they could not only decorate but so they could handle all the court stuff and things like that. It wasn't like the girl needed a date in order to make her apperance, she saw no problem with going with friends, but it was more like it would've been nice to be asked. Countless teenage romanic movies scenes popped into her head of people getting asked with flowers, notes, things like that. This was her senior year. Maybe she could've gone with - nah. While she held a crush towards her male friend, it wasn't like she was going to draw up the courage to ask. Besides, he was pretty popular around school, he could probably get any girl to go with.

Carrying on with her task at hand, she noticed she was at least halfway through her stack. Made this start to look like a cakewalk. And from a response to the text she had sent out, Ronny was coming to help her out with the flyers "Morning Ash, need some help?" Turning to see who was approaching her (and who had used the nickname she was not pleased to hear), she saw Tristan take some of the flyers from her and start to hang them up. She gave him a relieved smile "Thanks." and looked at her dimishing stack of flyers "I really don't see why these things even needed to be made. I mean, aren't morning announcements enough anymore?" Shaking her head, she hung another few flyers. This just seemed like a huge waste of time on her part, as well as a huge waste of paper.

She would've tried to start some sort of conversation when another voice addressed them "GUYS! Look! Look what I got" Ashley turned just in time to get glomped by her friend. She gripped her coffee and the flyers tigther to avoid having them fly all over the place and having to deal with a huge cleanup. She and Tristan were then happily shown a bouquet of flowers "I've never gotten such a surprise before! Someone left these in my locker! Can you believe it?" Ashley wasn't able to get a word in response in before Ronny continued on "Someone actually wants to take me to prom. Me! That is so nuts. I wonder who it is!" Using the time that Ronny had paused to her advantage "That's amazing Ronny -"

She was soon interuptted as the other girl then proceded to try and figure out who had asked her to prom, going on about some guy that used to be in her chemistry class. ''Oh god. Sorry." She did the hand talking thing before taking some flyers from her "Blah blah blah again. I can help out. It's just so crazy. I'm so excited. Like who could it be, right?" Ashley laughed as she watched her start to hang flyers up "It's alright Ronny. It's okay to be excited about that." Truth be told, she was a little jealous towards her friend, yet happy at the same time. It was a weird feeling, but Ashley wouldn't let her see that ugly side.

Tristan hadn't been hanging the flyers for very long before he heard a loud voice shouting down the hallway, a voice which he recognized belonged to Veronica. Ceasing the process of hanging flyers for the time being the tall male turned to see the blonde running down the hallway, flowers in hand. ❝ GUYS! Look! Look what I got! ❞ Veronica exclaimed, the blonde female tackling both Tristan and Ashley when she reached them. Tristan laughed, giving Veronica a hug before eying the flowers. So she liked them, or at least it appeared so. Tristan was relieved that she liked the flowers, relief spreading throug him and Tristan once more confident that his brilliant plan was going to work. He just hoped nobody directly asked Veronica before lunch or else that would have foiled his entire plan.

❝ I've never gotten such a surprise before! Someone left these in my locker! Can you believe it? ❞ Veronica continued, still going on about the flowers. She seemed really excited about them, reassurance that Tristan had done a good job. Tristan pretended to be hanging flyers again, still listening to Veronica's excited talking about the flowers. ❝ Someone actually wants to take me to prom. Me! That is so nuts. I wonder who it is! ❞ She continued and Tristan smiled to himself, glad she hadn't figured out it was him yet - even though if she really thought about it - it would probably be really easy to figure out the flowers had been from him. His handwriting was very easy to identify, it being very neat and almost microscopic - standard Asian handwriting. Not only that, but how many people knew Veronica's locker combination? Probably not many. Yet despite the culprit being blatantly obvious, she hadn't seemed to have figured it out which was a good thing. ❝ Oh. What if it's that guy in my chemistry class? He's always giving me flirty looks. ❞ Veronica thought out loud, and Tristan had to resist the urge to laugh as he thought wrong. ❝ No wait. It couldn't. He moved away. Like awhile ago. Duh. ❞ Well at least she'd eliminated that option.

Tristan figured Veronica would probably be trying to guess who had left the flowers all day, which was good, it was all a part of his plan. ❝ Oh god. Sorry. ❞ Veronica now apologized, ❝ Blah blah blah again. I can help out. ❞ She said and it became evident that Veronica was now helping Ashley and Tristan hang flyers. Hanging the flyers was proving to be a chore, but once Tristan got into a sort of rhythm with the process of hanging them it wasn't too bad. ❝ It's just so crazy. I'm so excited. Like who could it be, right? ❞ Tristan heard Veronica say now, still sounding as excited as before. Tristan glanced over his shoulder to grin at her as he worked on taping another flyer up. "Those are some really pretty flowers, I wonder who sent them~" He teased, trying to make sure he left no hints that it had been him who left the flowers.

He was really glad she liked the flowers, he'd originally been planning on purchasing roses but - once Mira heard of his plan she had lectured him about how roses were cliche and over used and how it was usually dirtbags that sent them, and then his little sister (who was apparently an expert on flower symbolism or something) reccomended that he get her yellow chrysanthemums. Tristan had never doubted his sister before so he went with her reccomendation, even though he honestly had never heard of chrysanthemums until she brought them up. Thankfully it seemed as if Veronica liked them, in Tristan's mind meaning that he'd done a good job. Tristan turned back to the task at hand and it didn't take him long before he'd finished hanging his stack of flyers, now turning to lean against the wall and wait for his two friends to finish as well. He found himself glancing from Veronica to Ashley, wondering to himself if Ashley had been asked to prom yet. Tristan hadn't thought about it beforehand but, it could be potentially awkward if Tristan and Veronica went to prom together and Ashley was left to be the third wheel. But Tristan couldn't help the fact that he had a crush on Veronica, and Ashley was really pretty and really nice so Tristan was certain she would get a date to prom, assuming she didn't have one already.

There were a few moments of silence during which time Tristan was lost in thought but finally he spoke. "Soooooo~ I don't know about you guys, but I do not have work tonight. What do you say, my house, popcorn and a couple horror movies? With lots of zombies, of course,"
He said with a laugh, glancing at Veronica upon making the comment about zombies because he knew about her thing with zombie video games.

The Tyler household - what a perfect place to spend a morning. As far as one of the two children, Jeremy, knew; their parents were already off to work. Which left him and his twin Vanitas home alone until they needed to leave for school. So by the time his alarm went off, Jeremy was already wide-awake, working on his "project". Or at least, that's what he called it whenever someone would ask him. He was planning to ask a certain someone to the prom, but whenever he would think of things, his mind would draw a blank. He wasn't a total romanticalic, so instead he turned to the internet for assistance. And behold - he had found something that he really like.

But there was one thing missing. And this one thing didn't involve his plan. It was his brother. He wasn't up yet. Better get him up before they were both late to school. Sneaking into Vanitas's room, he jumped onto his brother's bed, and possibly his brother in the process. "Morning bro!" Jeremy knew that Vanitas would have some sort of remark or even some way of getting him off of him, so after sitting on Vanitas for another minute or two, he jumped off of his brother and scampered out of the room so he could get ready for the school day.

Some time later, and a morning routine completed, he sat at the breakfast table, eating a piece of toast coated in Nutella. He kept his eye on the hallway, waiting to see if the wakeup call had succeded or not. At the moment, not really. so instead, he pulled out his phone and typed a message to the friend who would most likely need a ride to school. He'd pick up Jude too, but he was most likely going to find a way there on his own, plus to make matters worse Jeremy didn't exactly know where his friend lived, which made him feel like a horrible friend. So he would send Jude a text too

              To: Mimi
              From: Jeremy
Msg: Hey - you need a ride to school?
              Of course you do > ; P
              Be there in a bit.

              To: Judester
              From: Jeremy
Msg: Dude - I'm actually kind of nervous bout today . . .

Sending the messages, he quickly swallowed the rest of his breakfast and got all his things together and threw them in the back seat, taking extra care with the things needed for asking his female friend to the prom this weekend. The plan was to leave a rose on her desk in each of her classes. But wait - he was giving Mira a ride to school and was most likely going to be hanging with her and Jude before class. When would he have time to do that? Slapping his forehead as he got into the driver's seat, he gave up on that plan. Looks like he was going to have to improvise a clever way to ask her - a dangerous thing for him to be doing.

Driving off, he wondered if his brother was cool with him just leaving him to get to school on his own. But then again, after his wake-up call this morning, he was pretty sure Vanitas just wanted to be far away from him this morning. They couldn't help it that they ran through different crowds at times, but he loved his brother nonetheless. Plus his brother knew he normally gave rides to his friends when they needed them. Parking in front of Mira's house, he hopped out of the car and ran up to the front door, knocking a few times and patiently waiting. Once he saw his friend open the door, he took a step back and bowed playfully "Morning milady." Standing up, he gestured to his car behind him "Your ride has arrived." He gave her one of his famous goofy grins as he escorted her to the passenger seat, hoping to God she wouldn't notice his prom things in the back seat. Climbing back into the driver's seat, the two were now on course to school.

Pulling into a parking space, he hopped out of the car once again, sliding over the hood so he could open the door for Mimi and then get his things from the back seat. It looked like the prom stuff was going to have to wait a bit as he thought of a new idea. He turned to her "Ready for another day of having our minds melted?"

Veronica relaxed when Ashley assured her that being excited was normal. It was pretty easy for a girl like herself to overreact. Things just hit her harder and all she could do to express herself is to let it all explode out of her. It was one of the things that got her in the most trouble at times. It was probably why it really never occurred who the logical choice it was who had put the flowers in her locker. She was still too busy exploding to actually really take a good long look at her choices. No matter how hard her brain tried, it could not actually put the pieces together.

Her heart pounded when Tristan spoke up. There was absolutely no envy or jealousy in his tone at all. He actually sounded happy and playful that she had gotten them. Her mind bristled with horrible possibilities as to why. ❛ What if he's relieved that I got them? He could have figured out about my crush and was worried he'd have to turn me down . . . Now that I've got THESE . . . . ❜ Her eyes now looked at her chrysanthemums in shock, ❛ He is off the hook, right? He won't need to worry about our friendship getting wrecked in the process since some other guy has taken a shine to me! ❜ With her head spinning she dropped about ten flyers and snapped out of her spiraling thoughts. ❝ Oh. s**t! ❞ Making an 'oops' face she picked them all up and cleared her head of it. ❛ Okay. Brain. Just trash those horrible thoughts. Tristan would be honest with me if that was the case. ❜ She wasn't sre if she truly believed that, but it was enough to calm her down a notch. Veronica needed to relax and just let things come to her. Like that was even possible.

Putting a smile on her face as she put up flyers noting the subject on them. ❝ Have you two bought tickets, yet? ❞ She eyed Tristan again for any kind of hidden expression, but he only had a grin on his face. What was he so happy about? Her face suddenly dropped. ❛ Oh god. He is thinking about who he is taking isn't he? ❜ Her eyes flickered to Ashley real fast in panic. She then took a deep breath and turned back to the flyers closing her eyes for a second to collect herself. ❛ Brain. We spoken about this. Those thoughts get put to the side! ❜ Compelling herself to not think like that was getting harder with each passing second. ❛ How insecure can I get? ❜ She asked her brain and her brain just couldn't give her a straight answer.

Instantly knowing the way to get Veronica out of her haunting thoughts, Tristan suggested the best idea ever.Three best friends, popcorn, and zombies? What more could a girl possibly ask for She threw her arms up fast making a few petals shower onto her since she was still clutching her flowers, ❝ YES! ❞ Throwing her head back and shaking her butt. Bring her arms down she stated, ❝ We should watch Dawn of the Dead! ❞ Nothing like a bunch of people stuck in a mall trying to survive the zombie outbreak only to find help isn't coming and there was nowhere else to go. Had Veronica been there to save the day things might have turned out differently. With her knowledge of Zombie killing and will power they could have started life anew by her rule. But whatever. Maybe they will think next time. Oh wait, they're already dead. Too bad.

Thinking about work since Tristan had mentioned he was off she turned to Ashley, ❝ Hey, is Land of Dragons hiring? I think it's time I start making and quit wasting. ❞ She wondered why she had never thought of this before. Two besties working together, it would be fun. Then realization washed over her. Now she remembered, ❝ Oh wait. Crap. Never mind. Roxy started working there. ❞ Her twin would freak if she took on the job. Probably even go as far as quit. Biting her lip she started putting up another flyer feeling a bit awkward for bring it up. It was easy to see that by even mentioning her sister in public brought her down. ❛ Brain. You are really betraying me today. Speaking about Roxy in front of them is taboo, remember? They can always pick up on it. ❜ She decided to change the subject after scolding her noggin. ❝ This is my last one ~ Is there anymore? ❞ Holding of the flyer indicating what she was talking about exactly before putting it on the wall.

__it is kneeling down like this

It looked like her female friend's excitement about getting asked to prom was effecting the things she was doing"Oh. s**t!" Ashley watched as Ronny freaked out as all the flyers she was holding slipped out of her grasp and she scrambled to pick them up "It's okay Ronny - take it easy. It's not like these flyers have to be in perfect condition; heck - I'm pretty sure most of these will get ruined by the end of the day" She shook her head as she thought about it, people at this school could be so rude at times it sickened her.

''Have you two bought tickets, yet?" Ashley paused what she was doing, just for a brief second. God, that question. She knew it was bound to pop up eventually but she still wasn't prepared to answer it. Turning around, she gave a light shrug "Yeah, I have my ticket. I get to be there hours early to decorate." She sighed at that thought and ran a hand through her hair. Just for once this year, she would love for her position on the council to mean she didn't have to do something, just so she wouldn't be doing everything. Shaking the thought away, she continued "As for the issue of whether I'm going with anyone, I guess I have a few more days to figure something out . . . "

Luckily Tristan's next question would be able to get her away from her thoughts."Soooooo~ I don't know about you guys, but I do not have work tonight. What do you say, my house, popcorn and a couple horror movies? With lots of zombies, of course," Movie night? Sounded like - "YES!" Turning to look at Ronny spazzing out in front of her, Ashley couldn't help but laugh at her friend. "We should watch Dawn of the Dead!" Ashley, after waiting for her to finish, turned to Tristan, shrugging slightly "I don't think I have to work tonight, but if I could easily give it to one of the newer employees. They need the time more than me." Ashley had been working at the Chinese place for close to two years now. She had priority over the new employees, and she could take a shift off just as easily. "So I guess you can count me in."

The subject of work seemed to get Ronny in the mindset of getting a job, something she never thought her friend would be willing to do "Hey, is Land of Dragons hiring? I think it's time I start making and quit wasting." Ashley thought about it for a minute, but before she could answer tje question, Ronny had a realization that made her take back her prior statement. "Oh wait. Crap. Never mind. Roxy started working there." Ashley bit her lip as she heard her friend mention her twin. Yes, even after all these years she knew that whenever Ronny mentioned Roxy, she got all down about it. Placing a hand on the girl's shoulder, she offered her a small smile. "I doubt you'd want to work at Land of Dragons anyways, the outfits they make us wear are totally cheesy and the guys that eat there are normally heavy jerks." She wasn't a total fan of her work uniform; there were a few instances that she recalled where Tristan would come in for a meal and end up teasing her about the outfit she had t wear. But, the job had good pay, plus tips, so she'd have to live with the outfit. "But if I heard correctly, Agrabah down the street is looking for people."

Turning back to her work, she finished the last of her coffee and resumed hanging flyers. "This is my last one ~ Is there anymore?" After hanging up the last flyer in her stack, she looked over her shoulder to see Ronny holding up her last flyer and hanging it on the wall. Turning to look at Tristan's progress, she saw that he also had hung up all the flyers that he had taken from her too. Shaking her head, she looked back to the spaz "Nope, you guys got all the ones I made." She smiled "Things do seem to go by faster when more than one person's helping out. Thanks you guys."

AND FOR ETERNITY I'LL LAY IN BED IN MY BOXERS HALF STONED WITH A PILLOW UNDER MY HEAD

Asher woke to the sound of boots stomping around the kitchen, a microwave turning on at full blast, and the grunts of an unknown male. 'Oh. That's right. Mom had a friend over last night.' A common thing in the Evans household- what with his father having walked out on them at a younger age, his mother never seemed content enough to just have her son at home with her. Night after night, there was always a new man walking in and out of that shabby little
front door of theirs in this rickety apartment they call home. While he might have no room to judge- he still did. He was harsh on his mother, and his mother was harsh on him. Both of them slept with anyone who asked. Both of them didn't care who used them. Both of them had no sense of dignity or self worth- and they both hated each other because of that.

He probably just hated his mom for it because she's the reason he's like this; of course, he'd never admit this out loud and still loves his life (because who wouldn't? He's ********, and every guy and girl out there wants his body.) but there were still times he regretted his constant need for sex or affection.

The brunette stretched out his body the best he could- back hurting from the awkward position he'd slept in on the couch. It wasn't that he didn't have a bed of his own- it was simply the fact that he didn't want to hear his mother's constant moaning and her guest's grunting while he was trying to catch some z's. (cause, come on man. that was just gay and lame, listening to your mom have sex with some stranger. who gets off on that? not him.) he could hear the other guy
rummaging around the cupboards, probably looking for some clean plates that he would never find. [******** shut up..!" Asher groaned, loud enough for the older man to hear. Instantly the footsteps stopped- the stranger probably just remembering that there was another being in the house besides the chick he slept with that night.

"Shhhhh, you'll wake him." A giggle and some laughter, they stumbled into his mother's bedroom. The guy couldn't say he didn't know- his mother had hinted at the fact that she had someone at home last night, even if she hadn't outright said that it was her son. "Uh. Sorry." Asher had sat up by now, watching with disgruntled eyes as his mother's hookup fixed the buttons on his suit and pulled on his shoes- just in time for his mother to walk out of her bedroom as well. "Oh, you're leaving so soon?" Surprise was shown on her face, even though this was the daily routine that Asher went through to make sure some steeze-ball didn't actually get interested in his mother. "Y-Yeah," The older man started, rubbing the back of his neck nervously. "I, uh.. Gotta go to work. I'll call you." And with that, he was gone. Just like that.

Asher already knew what his mom was going to say before she actually said it. Her face turned as red as the hair stacked on top of head- make up smudged on her eyelids and lips from the night before. "I can't believe you, Asher! You do this every time I bring a decent man home- you scare them off! Can't you just keep your mouth shut for like ten minutes? If only you'd just-" He shut her out, simply nodding his head to each of her insults and replying with a small, 'Yeah' or 'Uh-huh' as if he were listening while he pulled on his jeans and socks. He didn't bother on showering, seeing as to do that he'd have to get past his mother, travel through the endless piles of clothes in her room and wait about ten minutes until the water heated up. 'Definitely not worth it.' The boy decided, and finally stood up to reply to his mother's constant nagging.

"And then there are the times that you just out right walk-in in the middle of when-" "I'm going to school. I'll be home after work." A snarl was thrown his way, the stark comment obviously not pleasing his mother. "Asher, don't you dare walk away from-"

He closed the door in her face. Quickly, the boy realized that he'd forgotten to change his shirt while he was still inside the apartment, but that could quickly be taken care of. He remembered that he still had a few shirts in- side his car from when he and some... friends had gotten frisky a few days earlier. Hopefully, they wouldn't be too musky or wrinkled to wear to school, or else he'd be out of luck.

Thankfully when he hopped into his dark green, '98 Jeep Wrangler though he found a white tank top and a brown scarf that surprisingly went well with the rest of his outfit. A yawn and a groan later, Asher finally pushed his keys into the ignition and drove off.

                                                          xxxx TIME SKIP; —♛

When Asher finally arrived at the school, there seemed to be one minor setback- he was early for school. This never happened. More often than not, Asher was usually ten-fifteen minutes late because he was cleaning up after his mother because of her usual tantrums whenever a guy she seemed to like left. (If you thought that this morning was bad, you should see her on a bad day. Guess who Asher got his temper from?) The brunette was disgruntled and moody from both the argument with his mother this morning and the fact that he'd have to be at the school longer than needed. But- he might as well make the best of it. Whipping out his shitty little sidekick, Asher pressed a few random buttons to get it working and started texting two of his closer friends.

TO: ROXY, THEIRN xxxxxx FROM: ASHER
yo, you guys at school yet? got here early. bored as hell.
                                                          come find meeeeeeeeeeee

And with that, the brunette flipped his sidekick closed and slid out of his jeep, slinging his tattered backpack over his shoulder and making his way inside the school. He'd just wander around for now- hopefully one of the two people he texted would text him back soon or he'd have to find one of the people that were already at school to chill with until class started. And honestly, Asher wasn't in all that great of a mood right now... So he just hoped it wouldn't come down to that.

__"Go away." Though the voice was groggy, the male obviously still half asleep, his voice held a promise of pain for the offender attempting to wake him up. Which, normally he wasn't that malicious. The times didn't call for it. But being woken up by someone was an entirely different thing. Alarm clock? He was fine with. Hearing a human voice and them shaking him on the other hand? b***h please. Obviously, their new maid hadn't been told that he wasn't supposed to be woken up like this, but she probably learned after being slapped. The brunet sat up, dark chocolate brown eyes opening and glaring at the clueless woman who backed up, holding a reddening cheek. "I told you to stop, what's your problem?" A low growl escaped from his throat, though he was regaining his senses and ceasing to cause any more physical harm to the woman. Even if she had created a great offense against him. And she did deserve to be hit. You didn't just go into someone's room to wake them up like that when you didn't know them. It would be one thing if she was drunk, or a teenager like him, possibly even as wealthy as he was too. But that wasn't the case. She worked for his family and needed to know her place, otherwise she would be fired in a day. So in a way, what he'd done actually helped her- something most people would argue against, but what did he care about their opinions?

__"I'm sorry, sir. It won't happen again."

__'Ugh, she's going to start crying. Annoying.' Eyes rolled, and it was just a good thing that it was dark in the room so she couldn't see it. "Just leave and we'll pretend that it didn't happen." Watching her silhouette slink ashamedly out of his room and shut the door behind her, a hand ran through his hair, sigh escaping past his lips. Ah right, he had school today. At least it was Friday, so he could sleep in tomorrow. Or something... dammit he was so out of it right now. Why was that? He hadn't stayed up particularly late...

__Screw it. At this rate he was going to be late to school. Besides, he would have plenty of time to think in school- as unfortunate as it was. Maybe something exciting would happen today? Pft, yeah right. Not unless something happened to explode in chemistry, or there was a fight. Though, there always was a chance that he could learn about something of interest. Gossip. You could say that it was such a "girly" thing to be into, but you always had to know what was going on if you wanted to get anywhere in life. Granted, he lived in a rich household where he had basically been taught that you had to use people or be used. A very business and political-like mindset. It was for that very reason he tended to make everyone's business his own. The less surprises there were, the more things could go right for him. Most people would think that it was a silly thing for a high schooler to do, but the high school world could be just as vicious. And it also kind of said something about the people he tended to hang out the most with- popular kids, of course, and those who didn't care about using others for their own needs either. Of course, he was "friends" with other people too, but it wasn't like they hung out all the time at school.

__Right, school. After getting dressed and getting something quick to eat on the way there, Theirn headed straight to his car. Backpack was thrown into the passenger's seat, and he drove off to the school. Or started to, until his phone gave him a notice that he had a message. Digging into his pants' pocket, the phone was flipped open as he glanced at the screen, eyebrow quirking up. Asher was texting him at this time? 'He didn't blow something up already, did he?' Luckily, there was a stop light which allowed him to actually read the message. Oh, well this sounded particularly interesting~ It was rare for the other male to arrive before him... scratch that, this early.

                                                  TO: ASHERxxxxxxxxxxxxFROM: THEIRN
will be there in two minutes to save you from hell.
think you can last that long?

__The slightest trace of a smirk spread across his lips as he sent the message. It was pretty obvious to those who knew him fairly well that he was teasing while others might mistake it as something more ill willed. That certainly wasn't the case. Even though Asher's shameless flirting and sleeping around was something he found to be less than agreeable, the two still got along putting that aside. Parking his car in the school parking lot, he took his backpack, got out, then locked the door before heading off through the school's doors. Sunglasses were taken off as he stepped inside, eyes scanning the various crowds of people littering the halls. Now to find the person who needed to be saved~ True to his word, it was two minutes later that he found the sender of the text message. "Your savior has arrived. I didn't think that you would come so early today. What happened to make you arrive earlier?" It wasn't like he particularly knew what went on in the other senior's house. Home lives usually wasn't a topic that interested him. Nothing interesting seemed to happen unless parents were divorcing or having an affair of some sort. But as far as he knew, Asher just lived with his mom. And even then, the details were fuzzy- as, he'd never actually been to the other's house. It was always the other way around.

❝ Have you two bought tickets, yet? ❞ Tristan now heard Veronica ask, and he managed a smile, nodding his head in confirmation that he had in fact purchased his ticket for prom. Realizing how that could be misinterpreted, Tristan decided to explain. "I've bought my ticket, but it's not like I have a date yet or anything. When I told Mira I was waiting to see if I managed to get a date she gave me some long winded lecture about how I'm a senior and this is my last opportunity to go to prom so I should buy my ticket while I have the chance," Tristan explained, laughing a little as he thought about his younger sister and her long winded speeches whenever Tristan decided to do something stupid. He was the audience to said speeches on many occasions because there were many occasions when Mira seemed to think that, despite being the younger one, she knew better than Tristan. "Yeah, I have my ticket. I get to be there hours early to decorate." Hearing Ashley say this, Tristan's attention momentarily shifted to her and he nodded. So she had her ticket already too, but for a different reason.

Tristan hadn't really thought things out, the whole asking Veronica to prom thing that is. He had a crush on Veronica so he wanted to ask her to prom, but he was friends with both Ashley and Veronica. He hadn't processed the fact that asking Veronica to prom might potentially cause their friendship with Ashley to become awkward. And Tristan was unaware that both of his best friends had feelings for him. There had been a point where Tristan had thought he'd had feelings for both of them, they had been his best friends since forever and once they began transitioning into becoming teenagers Tristan probably experienced the same thoughts that most males would have had they had two pretty female best friends. His feelings for both is best friends had developed into a mental debate for a number of months before Tristan finally concluded that, in a way, he was closer to Ashley - in a brother-sister sort of way, and it was creepy to date your sister. As for Veronica, for some reason he didn't feel the same way about her. Around Veronica he always seemed to be experiencing the classic signs of a crush - from the constant desire to impress her, to the feeling of his stomach tying itself into knots and so on. Tristan felt bad choosing between his two best friends, but he couldn't help his feelings.

After suggesting their zombie movie get together, Veronica immediately began acting excited, which Tristan could have predicted. ❝ YES! ❞ Veronica shouted, throwing her arms up into the air and doing what Tristan assumed was supposed to be some kind of dancing. Tristan had to laugh at his friend's excitement over his suggestion. ❝ We should watch Dawn of the Dead! ❞ She continued, and Tristan nodded, now glancing in Ashley's direction in search of confirmation as to whether or not she'd be joining them. He knew she was probably busy with all that class president stuff, but she had time to take a break right? Only seconds after Tristan had been wondering about this Ashley made comment as to whether or not she could join them. "I don't think I have to work tonight, but if I could easily give it to one of the newer employees. They need the time more than me." She explained, Tristan nodding as she explained this, smiling when she finally confirmed that 'they could count her in.' "Alright then, my house at seven,"
Tristan concluded, looking at both of his female friends with a somewhat goofy smile.

As the two females began conversing about places that were hiring around town Tristan became momentarily distracted, glancing around the crowd of students in an attempt to see if Mira had arrived yet. He let out a sigh of relief when he saw his sister with one of her friends, glad that someone had gotten her to school. Tristan was embarassed to admit, but he could be a bit of a worrywart when it came to his sister. Especially because she was best friends with two boys, he didn't know what he would do if they ever decided to take advantage of her. He had threatened those two on a number of occasions, taking on the scary older brother role.

Tuning back into the conversation as Veronica and Ashley were discussing jobs, Tristan added his thoughts on the matter. "I know TOWA is hiring, but I doubt you'd want to work with Harper and I," Tristan asked with a small laugh. It didn't take long before Veronica had finished hanging her flyers, just as Tristan had, asking if there was anymore to be hung up. "Nope, you guys got all the ones I made." Ashley answered, and Tristan nodded. "Things do seem to go by faster when more than one person's helping out. Thanks you guys." Tristan smiled, speaking. "Well you know what they say, three heads or better than one...or something like that," Tristan said, trailing off as he didn't exactly know if he'd gotten the saying correct.
