Smirking briefly, the elf prince shrugged, pushing himself up off the bed, his pants straightening back out as they fell back to their place around his ankles. The creases that had formed, flattened out almost instantly as the tall boy stood and brushed himself off, extending a long-fingered hand to her. "You're right, I really don't care, but -"
Before he could finish his sentence, Bianca spoke again, accusing him of looking forward to it. Tristan frowned, his long ears instantly drooping, and he dropped the hand he held out to her. The smile that had hidden behind his eyes melted away, and now held an icy hostility.
Instead of saying anything, Tristan simply listened. So this was what she had been thinking all along? He noticed the smirk on her lips - normally one would think she was joking with a grin like that on her face, but the tone of her voice had an underlying seriousness to it. On the surface, it appeared she was joking, but his sensitive ears picked up the truth beneath it, and the elf prince let the frown settle on his lips, growing deeper and deeper until his handsome face was written with hurt.
That's what you get for thinking she's any different from any other woman, Tristan thought to himself, listening to Bianca's words, each feeling a bit like a dagger going into his chest. If she thinks that... what am I doing trying to change it? You can't change someone, stupid. Give up, it's not worth your time..
The mean look in his eyes softened a bit, a whirlwind of emotions washing over him; sadness, anger, hate... all evident in his expressive crimson eyes.
Tristan gave a sigh, his eyes softening further, the anger dwindling from him. There was no point in getting mad over it. He was just disappointed. It was something he was used to. "You would think that, wouldn't you?" The elf prince shook his head softly to himself.
Romance. What a joke. Sighing again, Tristan tucked his hands in his pockets, backing up, slowly moving away from Bianca who was now sitting up, the last of the emotion draining out of his eyes. Now, they looked vacant - almost fake. "I can't believe I thought you'd be different.." he voiced it softly, almost to himself. It was then that Tristan turned around, leaving Bianca sitting on the bed as he disappeared out the door, his movements stiff and proper. No longer could he show that side of himself to anyone. No longer would he let anyone even remotely close to being able to hurt him like Bianca just had.
