——————————————————————————————————————————————

We get along much better
Than you and your boyfriend
Well all I really wanna do is love you
A kind much closer than friends do
But I still can't say it after all we've been through
And all I really want from you is to feel me
As the feeling inside keeps building
And I will find a way to you if it kills me
But I never said a word
I guess I'm gonna miss my chance again

——————————————————————————————————————————————

Inhale. Exhale. Inhale. ******** I can take as many breaths as I ******** want, it won't change what I've done. And what people are going to think of me. I'm such a ******** up. Goddamn it, Anthony, I wish you were here and I wasn't. Why couldn't it have been me? Just thinking about the entire nightmare was torturing him, while there wasn't a day that didn't go by when he didn't think about that fateful night, Kyle tried not to go to in depth about the situation. s**t, he hadn't actually talked to anyone about what had happened. He just told people what they wanted to hear, not about his emotions about it. Feeling his stomach churn, Kyle wished he could just toss a couple shots back and ease his mind, but that would mean failure. He wasn't going to give in to temptation, especially after going over a year without touching any alcohol, now wasn't the time to go back on everything that he had accomplished. And in just a blink of an eye, his good guy reputation that he had built up could be destroyed. Everything that he had worked for. Surely he would end up being forced off the football team once the news spread to the parents, not wanting their children to be corrupt by a ******** murderer. Anxiously playing with his phone, flipping it open and closing it at a rapid pace, waiting for this mystery dude to text him back. Kyle felt like he was about to throw up out of his nerves and end up doing something ridiculously stupid, like jumping out of a window to avoid any type of social interaction with anyone. Glancing around the room, his eyes set on the window facing him. He needed to get out of here. He couldn't face Roary, what if she was the person and was trying to get in his head and ******** with him? Gain his trust and get him to tell her stuff that he hadn't told anyone else, then let loose all the dirty laundry. Why did I have to drive that car? ******** automobiles, we don't ******** need them.

Kyle was about to excuse himself by making up a lie to get him out of talking to Roary. Not because he didn't want to hear what she had to say, but because she was a ******** suspect. She could be working with someone to bring Kyle down. Maybe her and John were working together and they had staged that break up and they knew Kyle all too well to know that he would do anything to help out someone. What would she gain from all of this? Maybe I'm over thinking this. ********, no, that's bullshit. I'm not over thinking, I'm ******** under thinking. Anyone could be out to get me. Anyone. From here on out, no more trusting people. They'll just stab me in the back. The quarterback was all set to leave the room, and, well, the entire party so he could sulk in the weight room or go to the football field, run some gassers, and do some of his made-up, play-type situation drills, but then Roary started talking and telling Kyle about the ins and outs of her relationship with John. She seemed really ******** genuine about this. It was weird, he would have never thought of her as the type of girl to let down her guard and tell Kyle of all people what had gone down. Kyle couldn't help but stay there for her, to comfort her, if this really wasn't all an act. Always assume the best in people. Right now, Roary was hurting and it didn't look like anyone else was going to play the crying shoulder, so there Kyle was. And there would stay. At least for now.

"W-w-well, uh, maybe he's not, uh, g-good at, um...expressing his emotions. Most guys aren't. There's always some good in people and John seemed less angry and whiny when he was with you. M-maybe he, uh, actually does like you, the pain is still there even if nobody knows. People like to be secretive. It's how life works. I m-mean, put yourself in his shoes. It must be hard not being the top dog of the school anymore, I'm sure he just wants to be number one again, he's probably under a lot of pressure right now." And Lord knows that John doesn't do well under pressure. Some people might find it odd that Kyle was defending the guy that had basically tried to ruin his life during football season (and trying to ruin his life right now, but Kyle didn't know that), but Kyle believed that there was good everyone. John was no exception. No, he wasn't a complete idiot, Kyle knew that John would never warm up to him, but he had friends at one point in Derrick and Tyler, and he had dated Roxy and Roary, so he couldn't be a complete douche.

"And as for Chili, he's a confusing dude, I don't get what he does half of the time, but, uh, he just broke up with his girlfriend. It's not that easy getting over a girl you've dated for a while...N-n-not that I would, uh, know." Kyle lied quickly, he could sort of deal what Tyler went through with Kat. Kyle had to move away and break up with his girlfriend, it wasn't easy to get over a girl that you've dated for a while. Suddenly Kyle realized that he wasn't helping Roary, he was probably just escalating the situation and making her pain even worse by trying to tell her the two guys sides. "s**t, I'm so ******** s-s-sorry. I'm such a d**k. I'm being rude and just making this worse for you, I'm sorry." Kyle said apologetically, removing his eyes from her face back to the ground. She probably hated him now for seemingly taking John and Tyler's side, even if he was just trying to explain their thinking process, not necessarily taking sides. C'mon Kyle, last chance to redeem yourself. Don't ******** up. I really don't want Roary to hate me. I hate it when people are angry with me... "I get where you're coming from, Tyler and John are just being ******** right now. I'm sure they'll come around, they better, otherwise they're idiots. I-it's just that, uh, I think that they both have their reasons explaining why they're acting like this and you just need to give them both time to come to their senses. What guy wouldn't want to be with you? You're well...you." Kyle said in an encouraging tone, trying his best to return back to the "everyone's best friend" Kyle that helped out people and wasn't a selfish, paranoid little b***h worrying about a mystery guy that knew his deepest and darkest secret. Scooting over towards her, hesitantly, he put a friendly arm around her shoulders. "You should, uh, talk to them. Separately. Alone. So that the other outside factors don't, uh, influence their decisions. And I think that it would help if you didn't have that much alcohol in your system."

The quarterback didn't think that Roary would actually open up to him and tell him all of this stuff, but he knew that it took a lot of courage, maybe she wasn't so scary after all? s**t, no, that was probably part of her plan. Acting all heartbroken and making Kyle's heart break a little due to the pain that she was feeling and them becoming friends. Kyle would let her do all of the inward s**t, he wasn't going to let his guard down. Admittedly, she could pull off the act quite well and that wasn't making it any easier. Letting a small chuckle out when she started apologized for her sounding stupid and this meeting being completely random. The latter was true, though. They hadn't talked to each other, like, ever, but Kyle felt sort of drawn to her. She wasn't as scary and bitchy as everyone had said, she was actually...nice. "Well, it's not completely random. I'm the starting quarterback and you're the head cheerleader, I think we're supposed to be dating," Kyle joked, trying to lighten the mood. That wasn't even ******** funny. Oh ********, what if she thinks your hitting on her. Damn it, I'm just waiting to ******** get slapped and be called an airhead football player. "I wish we got to know each other sooner and under different circumstances, we could be pretty good friends."

Kyle could feel his cheeks heat up and a light pink tint spread across his face once Roary complimented him for being an "amazing guy," he couldn't help but let a smile out. It really wasn't every day that a ******** looking girl said that to you. "Yeah, anytime, I'm glad to help. I like helping people." Kyle replied in an unusual happy-go-lucky voice that he typically used with Cory or Henry, the only people that he thought didn't judge him as harshly as everyone else and actually accepted him. Reaching over he gave her a quick hug as sort of a thank you for not thinking he was a complete loser like most people thought he was. However, his sense of pride and happiness had diminished and had been replaced by embarrassment when she had mentioned how she thought he perceived her: A scary, mean b***h. Except she sugarcoated it. "Well, I, uh..." Kyle trailed off not knowing exactly what to say. "I-i'm, uh, s-sorry. It's just that you're this stunning cheerleader and you have a reputation of being a pretty big b***h, by the way, you have disproved that, you're actually one of the nicer people here, and I'm this awkward loser...with like two friends." Kyle mumbled looking down at the ground in embarrassment, even though his two friends were really ******** awesome. "It's kinda intimidating." Shrugging his shoulders, now she must've thought he was a loser. What kind of f** admits s**t like that? "So, uh, yeah...Are you feeling a little better now? I can walk you home or call a taxi if you want? You don't really look like you should be driving. Or we can head back to the party? I don't mean we as in like..nevermind. What do you want to do? You can vent a little more if you like."

[ ROARschoolSPIRIT is texting: ] NO ONE!!!

Roary watched Kyle as he seemed to fidget and be slightly uncomfortable around her. She looked away, sighing slightly and feeling a little uncomfortable herself. Had she said something wrong to him? Oh no! What if he went around behind her back and talked to Derrick and Tyler about her. She knew guys tended to talk almost as much as girls did when they were all together, but he didn’t seem like the type of person to do that! Then again, how did Roary know? They hadn’t really talked much up until this point. Maybe she was just being paranoid? After the events of earlier, it seemed as though everyone had turned their backs on her. Well, except Kyle and-…

                                            Buzz, buzz

Roary felt her phone vibrate and pulled it out. Unlocking it and opening the text she read through it. Sloane was worried about her? Sweet girl… She didn’t seem like too much of a threat and Roary kind of liked the fact that at least someone else was asking about her. Sure, Kyle was a sweet guy for doing so, but it was nice to have a girl ask as well. She tapped the text bar and began formulating a reply.

                                            To: Sloane
                                            From: Roary

                                            Yeah well…
It’s a lot of explaining, but I’ll give you the short version.
John and I are exes…before dating this time around.
He dated Roxy, I liked Tyler.
He broke up with her by causing drama and including me.
We got back together…because I saw no way out.
                                            Roxy hates me now…and I hate John…
I tried to tell Tyler feelings…and he insulted me and is probably off somewhere…
With Roxy. Crying and talking to Kyle now. He was worried about me.
Meet me later? We can chill after the party if you want. We can all go somewhere…
                                            Let me know.

It was a long text, but she had a feeling Sloane would understand. Once she finished typing out the response, she sent it, then put the phone back into her pocket. She let out a deep sigh and stood up slowly walking around the room they were in. She walked when she got nervous…and Roary was really nervous. Kyle seemed to be acting the same way, so she was sure that he wouldn’t mind her doing this-walking around. Once he started talking again, though, she walked back over and sat down. She listened through his stuttering and smiled slightly. He was really nervous! She couldn’t believe it…no one had ever acted like that around her before. Well, at least people that were of high status that talked to her had never talked to her like that before. She leaned forward as he explained to her about John and being the…”dog.” She let out a small laugh and leaned back on the couch, looking at him. She was starting to think even more clearly now. But, it was odd. When she sobered up, most would assume she would turn up her nose at Kyle, but for some reason…she was really enjoying this.

“John? Not good at expressing motions? Kyle, you must be the greatest joker I’ve ever heard, because he’s had no problem ‘expressing’ his emotions through lies before… Maybe he’s just so used to manipulating, we’ve all just forgotten what it’s like for him to tell the truth. If he’s got feelings for me, he sure doesn’t know how to show them…”

Roary tapped her foot on the hardwood floor for a moment, before sitting up and letting out a low breath.

“Kyle, I’ve been with him so many times before, I know how he thinks…I know what he’s doing. He’s trying to get me to stay in his grasp. Without me, he is nothing of status.” she said.

She looked at Kyle and shook her head.

“Screw status for a second…I mean, I try to say one non-bitchy thing, and it’s like the whole damn world goes to hell!”

Roary put a chin in her hands and looked away, out the window that was next to the couch. The evening was nice…She had never really been one to take in the sights, but for some reason, being with Kyle allowed her to relax and slow her roll. She was able to think more clearly about things and focus. Despite drinking so much tonight, she found herself thinking more clearly here with him. She guessed he just had that effect on everyone. She looked at him once more as he talked about Tyler. Roary frowned and swallowed another lump which had formed in her throat again. She calmed down and began talking once more.

                                            “I know about him and Kat…and I’m sure it’s extremely hard. But…”

She stopped for a moment…thinking. Then, she continued.

“I told him I wasn’t ever going to be Kat…and I didn’t expect him to think of me as fondly as he thought of her. Though, I just thought he would at least see SOMETHING good about me…other than…what he did see.”

Oh s**t…He probably thought she was some sort of slut. Then again, quite a few of the kids at the school thought she was a slut. But! What they all failed to realize was that she had only slept with three guys…all of her high school career. She rubbed her cheek absently and shook her head once again. Maybe she was a slut…No! She didn’t want to think like that! She was one of the prettiest girls in school and she had had no problem flaunting it in the past. Now, this was just some stupid party that was starting to get to her. She wouldn’t let this party get to her! Then, when she heard him talk of how the others were being dumb and “what guy wouldn’t want to be with her?” she stopped thinking again and looked at him. She felt her breath catch, and then smiled at him. She then caught herself and looked away, slightly shyly.

“Thanks.” she said, letting out a small laugh.

She looked at him again and flashed another small smile. Then, when he began to apologize quite a bit, she sat up and put her hands up. She let out another laugh and put one of her hands on his shoulder.

“No! Don’t be sorry! At least YOU seem to see me how I am…You’re probably one of the only sane people here…You and Sloane. Besides…talking to them… I don’t know. I’m done with John. I don’t want to fall into anymore traps. As for Tyler…I don‘t know what to do…I think after tonight, he probably thinks of me…not in the way I would have liked.”

Roary patted her pocket, remembering the text she sent to the Sloane and realizing she still hadn’t texted her back. It didn’t really matter right then. She was still busy talking with Kyle, and he was actually a good listener. When she realized her hand was still on his shoulder, she took it off immediately and licked her lips. This was…embarrassing. She was acting so open… Roary was sure he would have no problem spilling the beans about her talk with him after they were done. Then again, he still wasn’t coming off as that type of person to her…and this intrigued her.

“As for the alcohol…I’m done for the night…and probably for quite a while. I don’t want anything else tonight…and if this seems like it might happen once more, I might just never drink again.”

She shook her head, then when he said it was alright with her apologizing and jokingly talked about them dating, she looked shocked for a moment. Then, she recovered and smiled a little.

“I’d gladly take you up on that offer…if I wasn’t looking like such a hot mess, if I hadn’t just broken up with my ex, and if I hadn’t just confessed my feelings for Tyler…despite them not being returned.” she replied.

She scooted a little closer to him and gave him a small, crooked smile.

“I must seem pretty messed up, huh?” she asked him.

“I mean, with the Tyler and John issue, I must look like a completely heartless, and terrible person. If not that, then I must seem like I’m never truly satisfied.”

She tapped her fingers against her chin for a moment, then looked at him as though she was suddenly realizing something.

“Then again, I don’t think I am satisfied…only because I guess I haven’t found the right guy yet. John…he was just…so wrong. He didn’t love me for me! He was all about the sex…and Tyler. He just strung me along. I tried to make him feel better, and all he did was talk horribly about me in front of all of our friends…and he made me upset…as childish as that sounds. I mean…he always acted nicely towards me when we were alone…but I just don‘t know if he likes me anymore…or even if he liked me to begin with.”

Roary frowned slightly, biting her lip and wishing she hadn’t sounded the way she had. She was sure he would think of her as a mega-slut now, with some MEGA problems. She scratched her head absentmindedly and looked at him. He was attractive….why hadn’t she seen that before? And he was easy to talk to… Oh great, she was even starting to sound like an unsatisfied slut to herself. She closed her eyes and sighed. When he apologized and talked about her reputation, she opened her eyes and smiled again. At least she could get her mind off of her attractions for a moment.

“Yeah… The title ‘Mega-b***h’ seems to follow me everywhere. I guess I’ve just grown into being that way. It comes with the home life and the girls I hang with. Though, some people just never sit down with me to see what I’m really like. Lot’s of people would be amazingly surprised at how open I am…” she murmured.

Then…he hugged her. She stopped for a moment and felt her breath catch again. Wow…through everything she had been through that night, not one person had been so generous to her. Of course she had been hugged before, but this one was unlike any hug she had had in quite a while. This one was nice and real. She smiled thankfully and when he pulled away, she tried to not look so…disappointed. Wow…she didn’t think Kyle would be this easy to get along with. But he was…and she liked it. She looked at him, questioning herself. Why the hell was she thinking about someone that way so quickly after what had happened to her only moments ago? It was abnormal. Of course, if she had been wanting to get back at someone, then she wouldn’t have thought twice about Kyle being good looking to her. But she had just gone on and on about Tyler and now she was looking at Kyle, and he was different.

                                            “Two friends, huh?” she asked.

“At least you have them…then again, Sloane seems like a nice girl…and you…Well, I think I like something about you. You’re easy to talk to and I like that.” she finished, smiling and meaning it.

When he finally asked her if she would like to go back to the party, or if she wanted to go home or something, she shrugged and sighed.

“I really don’t know.” she replied.

“I know you’re probably extremely bored with my ramblings. I’m sorry for taking so much of you time. I’m sure you want to get back to the party.”

She smiled and winked at him knowingly. Despite the fact that Kyle didn’t drink or party as hard as she and the others did, she knew he was still probably having a good time, and she didn’t want to be the reason he didn’t have a good time.

“Going back to the party seems okay to me…at least for a little while. I’ll hang with you…if you don’t mind. I know what you’re talking about…going back out there together and looking like we’ve done something that would only spread more rumors…but…”

Roary got up and turned towards him, grabbing his hand gently. Her smile widened and she shrugged.

“But, that doesn’t mean we can’t at least have a little bit of a good time before this whole thing is over. I don’t care about rumors or anything, I came here to have a great time, and that’s what I’m going to do. Screw the rumors…we know we didn‘t do anything but talk.”

Roary tugged him up from his seat gently and laughed.

“Come on…dance with me one time, and I’ll let you walk me home… That is, if you would like to… You don’t have to if you don’t want to. As for John and Tyler, I don’t want to worry about them anymore for awhile. I want to have a good time and to be frank, I wouldn’t choose anyone else to have a great time with.”

She looked at him with a sort of puppy dog look and held his hand for a little while longer, waiting on an answer.

“So? What do you say? Come on, Kyle. Let loose for once and just have a good time…have fun!”

Derrick doubted that the things that Chili had told him about him being fine were completely honest. Chili was much like Derrick in the respect of emotions. He didn’t like to keep other people down and he didn’t like to share his problems with other people. Derrick had only had to help council depressed Chili a couple times before, but Kat leaving him had been the worst. The guy basically shut down for a brief period of time, and it took Derrick’s constant cheering him up to make him okay again. However, the Bonemiester simply let Chili have this one. There was no sense on dwelling on the past at a party, a time that was meant to be fun. If Chili wanted to talk about whatever, Derrick was sure that he was the first one the tight end would turn to.

Derrick sent Sloane a small smile as she thanked him for the bread. It really hadn’t been that big of a deal. Feeling a vibration in his pocket, Derrick pulled out his blackberry and glanced at the text display. He had received a text message from a random number asking for directions to his place. Derrick had been in the process of formulating a response when a familiar voice filled his ears.

"Well then I hope you're d**k gets bitten off!"

"Riley?," Derrick said in a confused tone, glancing over his shoulder. Before he knew it, his body was moving quickly towards the lake surface. For such a small blonde girl, she seemed to be rather strong. Realizing that he was going to fall in the water, Derrick pushed his leading foot off the edge of the dock. Turning in the air, Derrick laterelled his blackberry in Tyler’s direction. He figured the tight end would catch it. Even in his drunken state, Chili still had the second best hands on the team. The last image that Derrick saw before he hit the water was Riley storming back towards the house.

                                        ******** was that water cold.

Derrick hit the and an instant stinging sensation spread across his body. Resurfacing quickly, Derrick took a large gasp of air due to the shock of the water temperature. "WHAT THE ********] Derrick stammered out, swimming as quick as he could towards the dock. As he swam, he saw Riley throw his bottle of alcohol towards the lake and Tyler making a leaping catch to grab it. That girl really knew how to add insult to injury. Grabbing the side of the dock, Derrick pulled himself out of the water and crossed his arms over his chest, shivering like mad. He sent a small smirk in Tyler’s direction when he asked him if he was okay.

"The important q-q-question is the alcohol okay,"
Derrick said in a carefree tone. To be honest, he was confused as to why Riley had flipped out at him for talking to some friends. Had she not been the one about to have sex with Matt in the shower not five minutes ago. Derrick had been with a lot of women and had a fairly good idea on how their mind worked. However, this was beyond him. Had she actually chased after him after he interrupted her and Matt’s make out session? Why had she flipped out over a simple conversation? Derrick didn’t know how to react. So he did what he did best, he pretended like nothing was wrong.

"Peace b***h," Derrick said, his confident smirk spreading across his face once more. With Tyler gone, Derrick turned his attention to Sloane as she asked him if he was okay. He shrugged, still shivering uncontrollably. He was fine, considering the fact that a jealous girl had just shoved him into a lake he wasn’t even dating. "I haven’t had a girl flip out at me like that since last football season," Derrick joked, again drawing the negative attention away from himself. At Sloane’s comment that he should probably get out of the wet clothes, he nodded. Even in his drunken state, he knew that it would be wise to put on dry clothes before he got sick. However, he still had to reply to her question about football.

"To answer your question from before," Derrick said, taking his phone from her when she handed it to him. "I’d totally be down to teach some pigskin. I basically have to do it for the rookies this season anyways. It will be good practice. Um, here is my number, and just drop me a line whenever you want to get together." After Derrick had said this, he read out the digits to his phone number. "Alright, it was good talking to you, but I have to go get changed before Truth junior turns into a raison. See you."

Truth Junior. Yes, he had his p***s nicknamed. Got a problem with it?

After he had said his farewell to Sloane, Derrick turned on his heel and began to walk up to the house. He shared some high fives with people as he walked into the house, and ignored the questions of how he had gotten wet. On his way to his room, Derrick made out Riley’s figure standing amidst the crowd of people. He sighed; he should at least try and see what her deal was. The drunken teenager altered his path slightly and began to approach the blonde. "Riley, I think we need to ta-," Derrick’s words froze as he made eye contact with John. Apparently she had ran to her brother after pushing him in the lake. The two stared each other down for a moment; it appeared that John now knew that Derrick had been ******** his sister for the past while.

"I don’t know why I even bother with you Cunninghams," Derrick said in an emotionless tone, before walking towards his room once more. He made sure to make hard contact with John’s right shoulder as he walked past. Derrick went straight to his room this time, ignoring everyone else around him. Shutting the door to his bedroom loudly behind him, Derrick took off his soaked shirt and tossed it onto his computer chair. He had been in the process of taking off his pants when his door opened. Glancing behind him, Derrick couldn’t help but smirk when he saw the lacrosse girl from before walking in, shutting the door behind her. Without saying a word, the girl began to remove her jacket. It was on, and Derrick didn’t need to be a good friend right now. He could use some sex to vent out his frustrations over the Cunninghams. He moved towards the girl, the smile still on his face, and placed his hand on the back of her head, drawing her lips to his as the pair of them moved towards the bed.

There is a reason he is the Bonemiester.

“That was amazing,” the naked blonde said from beneath Derrick’s covers.

"Yeah it was," Derrick said, pulling a dry polo shirt over his head. He glanced at his reflection in the mirror, fixing his hair before turning the girl who was now beginning to put her clothes back on as well. "Alright, I should go back to the party. I’ll definitely give you a call sometime," Derrick said, placing a kiss on the stranger’s lips before leaving his room. He probably was not going to call her, but he said it anyway. She didn’t seem like she would care if he called her or not. She got what she wanted. As Derrick rejoined the party, a quick gaze over the scene made him realize that Chili was still missing in action. Having no idea what his best friend was doing, Derrick pulled out his blackberry and formulated a quick text message. Once he had read it over to ensure there were no errors, Derrick pressed the send key before moving amongst the drunk people.

                                        Dude, where you at?
                                        I ******** that lacrosse chick.
She had a n****e piercing, that
Was awesome. I think you could
Probably hook up with her friend.
Quit moping and play beer pong with me.
                                        ` Truth

On his way through the party, Derrick saw Matt getting bitched out by Skye before storming off. He couldn’t help but feel bad for the guy. Derrick changed his course, walking straight up to the linebacker. He was a cool guy and Reaper wasn’t around. He needed someone to talk to.

"You look like you could use a beer," Derrick said, handing him one that some random drunk guy had given to him on his way over to Matt. "Whats going on man? Stoked to begin training camp this week? I think we’re only going to run one-a-days during the week, since everyone had jobs and s**t."

A smug smirk crossed John’s face as Ella agreed to dance, and hinted that they would probably hook up. She was making this way to easy. Perhaps this girl was the route to ******** with Derrick, especially if she seemed so easy. However, before John could put his plan into motion, a small blonde chick pushed them apart and went off about how she was done with sex. Wait… that wasn’t any old blonde chick. That was…

"Riley?," John asked, a shocked tone evident in his voice. All this time he had thought that his little sister was an innocent little girl that simply liked to hang out with friends. Not only was she not a virgin, but also she had apparently had sex enough for feelings to get involved. John’s thoughts traced across the past year, and how he would always overhear people talking about his kid sister. It appeared everything that they said was true. He didn’t know how to handle this news. Typically, John didn’t let things bother him, but this was his little sister, and if the rumors were true, she had slept with a lot of guys. John was good at manipulating people, but he couldn’t dismantle the entire school.

"You happy? You finally got the celibate little sister you thought you always had."

Those words hurt John. Not because Riley was openly trying to make him feel guilty, but that she had thought she had to lie to him. However, he did not allow his emotion to show. That was the first rule of Jonathan Cunningham. Instead, he took a drink of his beer, ignoring Ella as she chose to walk away. He studied his sister’s body language. She seemed furious and hurt, apparently some guy had gotten to her. John inwardly made it his goal to find out who had made his sister so upset and make them pay for what they had done. Not physically, but mentally and socially. His search didn’t last long, for the teenager responsible showed himself shortly after Riley had come in.

"Riley, I think we need to ta-,"

Betrayal. That is the only emotion that John could feel as he shot a glare at Derrick Boone. The guy was soaked; apparently he had been shoved into the lake. Then things began to fall into place. His sister had been sleeping with his old best friend, maybe even when the pair of them was still friends. How could Derrick do this to him? How could Riley do this to him? John sent Derrick the coldest glare in the world. If looks could kill, the wide out would have dropped dead on the spot. Derrick walked away after making contact with his shoulder, and John downed the rest of his drink. He simply returned his gaze to his little sister, the emotionless expression not leaving his face. He didn’t know what to say or how to react. He wasn’t used to this kind of mistreatment. Sure, earlier tonight Roary had hurt him, but that was nothing compared to his own family lieing to him.

"How long," John said, attempting to mask the emotion his tone. The only problem was that she was his sister. She could read her older brother like a book, despite how much he attempted to hide his emotions. She would know that he was furious and felt betrayed. "Derrick Boone is nothing but a player. He acts like he is different, but he is still the Bonemiester. I thought you knew that. You’re a Cunningham, you never let people get the best of you."

Before John could continue, he was grabbed and pulled away from his little sister. Turning his attention to the one that had drug him away from the family feud, he was unimpressed to see it was Ella. John’s eyes never left his sister as he began to dance with Ella. He faced a problem. Complete step one of his ******** with Derrick plan or being a good big brother. He sighed, he hated when he had to do the right thing. "I’m sorry Ella, but my sister has had a rough night and I’m going to take her home. Give me a call sometime. I’d love to do more than just dance," John said, before wrenching free of Ella’s hold and making his way over to his sister. On his way, John pulled out the cheap cell phone he was using to mess with Kyle and read the message. He glanced around the party, looking for the new starting quarterback. It was then that he remembered he had seen Kyle walking away with Roary. This was too good. He could mess with that b***h and Kyle at the same time. He quickly formulated a text message while he made his way to Riley. He read it over once he was done, before pressing the send key and slipping the phone back into his pocket.

You tell Roary that she is a loose slut
that will never amount to anything
Or I tell everyone at this party that
You killed your friend by wrapping
Your drunk a** around that tree.
                                        `I know

As John reached Riley, he sighed and took his sister by the hand. Wordlessly, he lead her out of Derrick’s lake house and towards his Charger. Once he reached the vehicle, he opened the door for her, before walking around the car and getting in himself. He started the engine and shifted the car into drive. "I’m sorry if I’m too protective," John said in a soft tone. "I just don’t want guys like me to break your heart Riley. I want better for you than what Derrick and I do to girls. What do you want to do tonight? I want to help you forget about whatever happened. We don’t even have to talk about it. Just let me a good big brother for once in the past year."

[[ Blah post. Apologies for the slight God mod with Riley. I just think some brother sister time is needed ]]

"Perfect!" Taylor said as she began to blow on her freshly done finger nails. Her french tips went well her long flowing brown and hazel like locks in her hair that were currently sitting under a dryer. Checking over her nails, Taylor knew everything needed to be perfect. Tonight was phase one on her plan to bring down everyone in Cougar Country who had done her wrong. With all of the gossip and beer going around, Taylor knew she would be able to pull off a little something before the night was over. Start some rumors, make some friends. There were endless possibilities and it made Taylor giddy inside. Letting out a deep sigh, Taylor relaxed and pulled her phone from her purse. Every since her new change, Taylor had been getting alot of boy attention. She wasn't surprised, who wouldn't want to talk to a girl who liked the way she did? It seemed as though being smart wasn't such a bad thing now. Oh no, Taylor would use her power of wits to tricks all those little twits and get each one wrapped around her finger. Before they could blink, she would have snatched them down to a lower level and just step on them to get higher. If only she had gotten her change sooner. Shaking her head rid of the thoughts, Taylor retrieved her iPod from her purse and turned her volume all the way up, listening to a few of her favorite songs. After about twenty minutes, Taylor was out and giving off tips to her lovely beatitions. "Alright ladies, I'll be back in two weeks. I might need a facial with that to. Stay beautiful." She said winking at them. Her knew phsyical had style had come with a whole new personality. Besides manipulation, and devious thinking, Taylor had become more out and open, and snotty. After her change, she turned into a little b***h and everyone in her family seemed to get tired of it, except her obviously.

Walking outside of the salon, Taylor saw her older brother pull up a few moments after. Walking up to the passenger side, Taylor sat herself on the leather interior and crossed her legs as she looked at herself through a compact mirror she started recently keeping in her purse. "Your late Payton." She said without much as a thank you to her brother for coming to pick her up in the first place. Hearing his usual annoyed sigh, she let his words go in one ear and out of the other as he spoke. "I had to help mom with some things. Obviously you weren't going to." He said before making a face at her as she snapped her mirror shut. "You've got that right. Just get me home so I can get my car and get changed." Taylor said simply as she sat back and turne don the radio, humming to a few of the Lady Gaga songs that were playing while her brother drove her home.

"Home sweet home!" Taylor said excitedly as she ran up the stairs to her house. Unlocking the door to her home, Taylor looked around for her mother who was usually putting on her face in one of the bathrooms or trying on a new dress that should have been underwear. Smirking, Taylor leaned on the wall of her mother's bedroom as she watched her squeeze on some heels while also trying to prevent her cleavage from bursting out. "What's the slutty ocasion?" Taylor asked seeing her mother give a warning glance before speaking as she examined herself on one of her wall mirrors. ''Taylor, you know we don't talk like that in this family. And I'm going out to a little social party. No harm." Her mother said with that same devious smile Taylor had grown to wear on her face for the last few weeks. "Well make sure to bring condoms. We don't need anymore spoiled babies in this house." Taylor said before heading up the winding stairs to her room.

Walking inside, Taylor slipped off her sandals and let her toes enjoy the lush white carpet that Taylor had her entire floor covered in. Walking over to her closet, Taylor pulled the two handles aside and walked in. EVer since her " change " Taylor had been gifted with a new closet. The only thing she used to wear was plaid...plaid....oh and guess what else, flannel. Sometimes she wanted to slap herself silly as she looked back at those old chunky clothes she would wear. Sure they were comfortable but now Taylor was figuring out guys liked girls who showed legs, thighs, and breasts. Why didn't they just stare at chickens all day? Taylor thought with a smile at her own small joke. Hmm. What to wear? What to wear?" She pondered before picking out a outfit she had never pictured herself wearing until now. Checking herself in the mirror she turned around in a 360 type of motion before smiling. "Minnie, you've brought out curves I never knew I had." Taylor said with a squeal and clap before seeing her mother walk into her room. Hands on her hips, Taylor's mother raised her eyebrows and spoke. ''Taylor Veneicia Kensington, where are you going dressed like that?" She asked and Taylor did the same motions and smiled. "Derrick's party, and if you keep talking I'm going to be late. Does dad know your going out?" Taylor asked as she sat at her dresser, looking at herself through yet another mirror as she added some gloss to her lips. ''No young lady if you keep using that tone you won't be going. And no, your dad is out of town." She said, Taylor rolling her eyes and sighing as she picked up her purse and slipped on her sun shades. "Well then, I guess it's my cue to leave. Have fun mom, I've got some fun to have. Ciao!" Taylor yelled as she headed downstairs and out of the door, her heels clicking with the sway of her hips.

Walking around to the back driveway of her home, Taylor dug around in her purse for her car keys. With two beeps, Taylor walked towards her red little bug and grinned. "Missed me." Taylor said with a smile as she got into her driver's seat and started up her car. Putting in one of her mixed CD's, Taylor sung with every song on the radio, even if she couldn't hit Mariah Carey or Keri Hilson's high notes. Or if she wouldn't remember all of the words to Lady Gaga's exotic music. Heading out to Derrick's lake house, she saw there were already tons of people there and hte music was bumping. She noticed some people's cars, while others were just the many other people at Cougar County. Getting out of her car and walking towards the front door, she smiled and stepped in, before someone stopped her. ''Hey chick, wanna dance?" He asked. Rolling her eyes behind her shades, Taylor took them off and stared at him, watching his eyes bulge out of his head to far he could have been a cartoon character. ''T-Taylor? Taylor the duck!?" He asked and she sighed impaitently at the old name. Taylor had been nicknamed " duck " by the wolf pack ever since she s tarted school. The main phrase of it was " Taylor is so ugly whenever you see her you have to, DUCK. '' Nodding her head slightly she spoke to the confused boy. "Yes, it's Taylor the duck. Now, I don't think I look like a farm animal now do I?" Taylor asked as she watched him glance over him before she had to pull his head back up when he stopped at her thighs. Watching him shake his head she smiled and spoke. "Good, now bring me a drink, oh and stop calling girls chicks....it's demeaning." She said with a slight pout and wave of her hair before walking off seeing him go oogly eyed along with his friends. "This is definately going to work!" Taylor thought excitedly as she made her rounds through the house, letting people soak in her new look and tell their friends.

After a while, Taylor found herself dancing with a few guys and talking to a few girls who had finally noticed her. Seeing most of the people she knew from school, she took in her surroundings and new the drama had already started without her. Frowning slightly, sh emanaged to see Riley and John leave and wondered why those two were going so fast. Searching around the party, she smirked as she found Matt and Derrick together. Might as well try it out before I go to far. Taylor thought as she took a deep breath before walking over to the two football players. Smiling at them, she gave them a moment to notice her and let her new look sink in. Putting on a sweet, fake smile, Taylor spoke. "Hi Matt, Derrick." Taylor said as she kept the smile on her face. Obviously, Matt had just gotten a beat down from someone, probably Skye. Is that why he smelled like alcohol. Feeling someone tap her shoulder, she saw it was the guy she had first seen at the party and he had a drink in his hand and was extending it to her. Smiling and batting her eye lashes, she took it from him and spoke. "Thanks sweetness, make sure to save me a dance." She said with a wink before looking back at the two. "So, I'm sure one...or both of you have gotten yourself into some trouble tonight before I got here. What? Girlfriend problems? Random hook ups? I'm sure something happened." Taylor said keeping a smile on her face as she sipped her drink, acting sincere as if she really cared about the bitches who had put these guys through hell when they deserved it. This little game was just beginning and she felt as if she was already a master at it.

The young freshmen looked at the male. His soaking body. Gosh! He was sexy. Too sexy for his own good. If Sloane was more confident with herself she'd definitely try something. Right here and right now. She was just a freshmen and Derrick was one of the most popular seniors in Concord. What would he want with her? "Derrick would be lucky to have you. You'd definitely be a step up from that Riley chick." Sloane smiled at her thoughts. She didn't hate Riley she just disliked her at the moment. Her display of behavior earlier was utterly appalling. She wasn’t getting his attention so she had to act like a little spoiled brat. Was that really the way to go about things? Last time Sloane had checked whores didn’t have feelings. Why would Riley care who Derrick was talking too? After all the girl was sleeping with pretty much the entire football team. She should have been happy. Sex satisfied people like Riley, right? If it didn’t then what was the point of giving her body to everyone. Sloane shook her head. Her hair following her. Running a hand through her hair she heard Derrick talking about her proposal earlier. Taking out her phone from her clutch she took his number down. Saving the phone number she placed her phone back into her clutch. They were finally parting ways. “I’ll see you later.” She gave him a playful wink as he walked off. Wait! Had he just said Truth Junior? The girl chuckled. He was such a dork for that. Who named their p***s? Well it looked like the Bonemiester couldn’t withstand anything. A little water went a long way. The female stayed out on the docks a bit longer. Taking in the view and the feel of the crisp air on her skin. Once it started getting a bit too cold for the freshmen she made her way inside.

It felt better inside. Much better. Sloane had checked on Roary. The girl hadn’t replied to her text yet. That was fine. Sloane would go check on Roxy and then Skye. After all Roxy wanted to sober up. Sloane could drop in to make sure the female was okay then she’d go see Skye. Sounded like a plan. Now she needed to find Roxy. This lake house seemed big so it might take a while for her to find Roxy. She took in a deep breath as she began walking around. Opening doors and finding nothing was becoming disappointing. Where the hell was this girl? Had she already left? It couldn’t be. She said she was going to sober up for her drive home. Roxy wouldn’t lie about her whereabouts unless she was hiding something. Sloane was just overanalyzing the situation because she couldn’t find Roxy. She just needed to patient and in time she’d find her. How many more rooms could be in the lake house? Opening one door she saw two figures on top of the bed. You would have figured Sloane would have closed the door and let the couple get on but something stopped her. The blonde hair. It was unmistakably Tyler’s. “Tyler?” Roary had just confessed her love and he was up here about to ******** some random girl. Wait! Sloane blinked and it suddenly hit her. That was no random girl. That was the supposed best friend of the girl he had just humiliated. “Roxy?” Her voice was full of shock and disgust. She would have never expected Roxy to do such a thing. Better yet how the hell could Roxy do such a thing? Her and Roary weren’t the greatest of friends but that still didn’t say she had to go sleep with Tyler. Besides didn’t Roxy like John? Sloane bit down on her lip. Nothing was making any sense anymore.

“How could you Roxy? Does friendship mean anything to you? Tyler just rejected and embarrassed Roary. Before you go and see if she’s alright you’re up here getting ready to ******** him.” Her voice was louder than it needed to be. If there wasn’t a party downstairs you would definitely have heard the young girl. Sloane wasn’t hiding her feeling either. You could tell she was full of anger from the tone of her voice.“I know you and Roary are having your problems but that still doesn’t make this justifiable. Nothing makes this justifiable.” Roxy began talking and Sloane quickly cut her off. “Whatever Roxanne. I don’t want to hear it. I hope you have fun explaining this to Roary. “ Sloane said as she walked off. You could tell Sloane was fuming. She had called her Roxanne instead of her nickname. God! She felt like an idiot. She had trusted Roxy and Roxy had betrayed her trust. Well it wasn’t her trust directly but still. She Knew Roary and Roxy had an on and off relationship but this was taking it too far. Was Roxy looking to have their friendship be permanently off? She began making her way back to the party. Hearing her phone ring she removed it from her clutch. She viewed the text from Roary. Just thinking about all that drama made her head hurt. Quickly rubbing her temples she formulated a reply.

That’s a lot to take in.
                                  Glad you’re okay.
                                  Hanging out later sounds great.
                                  See you later on.
                                  - Sloane

Pressing send she placed her phone back in her clutch. Getting downstairs she noticed Matt and Derrick. They were with some girl who wasn’t looking familiar to her. She shrugged it off. She needed to find Skye. Make sure she was okay. Maybe they could turn this party around and have some fun. Sloane definitely needed the turn around. She wanted to remove the image of Roxy and Tyler from her head. Spotting Skye she walked over. She noticed the Grey Goose in her hand and Sloane smiled. She took the bottle from Skye and took a long swig. She could feel Skye glaring at her but she didn’t care. She needed to loosen up. It would probably help her throughout the rest of the night. She passed the bottle back to the feisty female. “Looks like everyone is having a sucky night. You alright? She was referring to the text about Matt going six feet under. “You can’t drown you sorrows in alcohol. I saw we get on the middle of the dance floor and start this party right.” She smiled. Skye was all about dance and Sloane was making her transition to become a dancer. Skye was sort of the reason Sloane had decided to pick up dance this summer. When Skye danced she drew a crowd and she had fun while doing it. “What do you say? I still remember one or two routines you taught me and I have the mixes on my iPhone. I just wanna have fun and not have to worry about petty things.” Concord was full of drama and for one night she just wanted to get away from it.

OhOhCee: This is a horrible post. Sorry!

—————————————————————————————————————————————

Late nights, won't do me justice
Cause when I drink
I just get so damn depressed,
And its not like, I ain't trying to get over you.
It's just hard to look at all the seasons, pass me over too
Seems like I'm never coming home
Seems like I'm always on my own
All the stars and boulevards ain't close enough for you

—————————————————————————————————————————————

"Definitely, dude. You don't know the half of it," he said with a nod in a response to her talking about how they had their own share of drama. It was irritating being in the middle of everything. Honestly, he preferred to be a more behind the scenes kind of guy, the person who listened to other people b***h and whine about their sad lives, but now it seemed like he was in their position. He just wanted this to be over, so that he could go back to being happy. What he needed to do was to forget about Kat. And Roary. And John. But unfortunately, he had some type of emotional attachment to all of them and an obligation to be a good friend to Roary and John, so it was difficult for him just to push them out of his head and just stifle his emotions so he could go back to how it was supposed to be. And have the summer of his life. Instead of living it up, he was stuck right in the middle of all the drama, and depressed. Pushing his thoughts about how to react to what happened, publicly (because no one really gave a right what happened in private), when Roxy started speaking to him. "'Cause I'm with you, you know what you do to me." Tyler replied playfully with a smirk on his face to her inquiry about why he was wet. "Nah, apparently Riley got pissed at Derrick for something, not sure what, so she pushed him into the lake and threw a bottle of R&R into it too, so I, being the awesome guy that I am, decided to jump in to save it." In hindsight, it what probably a stupid decision to jump in for a bottle of alcohol, when there was plenty more inside, and he could've prevented getting wet. But, he had been drinking quite a bit that night, so his judgement was a little clouded.

"Downstairs?" Tyler asked a little confused before remembering the horrid, bitter event that happened with Roary. Anyone who knew the tight end, knew that he wasn't the touchy, feely, let's talk about our feelings, type of guy. He preferred not to talk about them because, really, he didn't like it when peopled bitched about their lives, so why would anyone like it if he did it? But it seemed like she actually wanted to him to talk. He wasn't expecting that, he had expected that she wanted to talk to him about her thoughts on the situation, resulting in him getting bitched out and maybe slapped across the face. Or, it was code for "let's hook up in a random room." Yeah, he was hoping it was the latter of the two choices because he really didn't feel like getting bitched out by Roary and Roxy in one right. He needed at least one of them on his side to have his back, and since he was pretty sure Roary didn't want anything to do with him for the rest of the night, the friendship obligation fell on Roxy. Not that he was complaining, he just would have preferred both of them (in more ways than one, but c'mon, he was a guy and they were two unbelievably hot girls). Going back to her question, heaving a sigh, deciding maybe he should talk. Maybe keeping everything bottled up wasn't a good idea. "Oh, that. Uh, well, where do you want me to start?"

Before he could say anything he was cut off, with her saying she really didn't care about what happened. Well, then. She just made him look like a jackass by actually starting to talk about what happened, she was probably also pissed at him for some reason. "Whatever, I gotta g-" cut off once again, that was happening a lot this night, but this time was different. This time he really didn't mind not being able to get in a word in edge - wise. He was a little surprised at her forwardness, considering she never gave him even the slightest indication that she had feelings for him, other than him being one of her best friends. But lust and love were two completely different things, right? He was fine with lust though. Really, fine, with it. As suddenly as she kissed him, her lips were gone form his face. Staring at her with a confused look. What was with the women in his life? She must have been bi-polar, once second she was into it and ready to jump his bones, but now she looked like she was about to cry like a little baby. "What's wrong?" He asked slowly, not completely sure how to react. It wasn't everyday that a girl willingly stopped a make out session with Tyler Childress.

But then, she was right back at it again as her lips found his mouth. Smirking slightly, he had no clue of what was going through her mind, but if it meant that they would hook up, then he was happy with it. He had been waiting for this moment since freshman year, but had given up all hope on it since she had been pathetically in love with John, who was one of his friends, and he couldn't betray his trust like that. Ah, cruel irony. Soon enough, he was on his back in bed with Roxy on top of him. Score! "Wasn't planning on it." Pulling her in for another passionate kiss, before their little make out session was stopped once again. A little frustrated now, he wasn't good dealing with the whole stop - and - go of this, normally he had a little more patience, but the guy was hammered. "Not a problem. I can do that." He said in response to her wanting him to make her forget about what happened, he could do that, even if it was only for a short amount of time.

Just as he was about to respond to her, regarding about their future, or whatever would happen to them, he heard the door open and someone call his name, followed by Roxy's name. God damn it, ******** cockblocker. By the sound of it, she seemed shocked and not so happy about the situation. s**t, who was it? Was it one of those girls that he had a meaningless hook up with, but actually expected him to stay with them after having sex with them one time? He hated people like that, but it wasn't a girl he had hooked up with (yet). Dropping his hands to her waist, once Sloane started bitching Roxy out about friendship. There was truth to that, but he actually started feeling guilty about this. Roary had just poured her heart out to him, drunkenly, but he wasn't sure what she really thought of him, they needed to talk when both of them were sober.

His gaze darted from the door back up to Roxy's face. He wasn't completely sure what to say, after all, they had both gotten bitched out by a freshman that had just experienced a taste of one of the many scandals going around. In that instant, he knew what he wanted. Hopefully it was the same thing that she wanted. Otherwise he would've looked like an insensitive dipshit. "For the record, I don't think you're a bad friend." Tyler said out of the blue, breaking the awkward silence between them. He did care about her, he really did, but right now, what was best for both of them, in his mind, was them going at it like rabbits. It was another approach to forgetting about what happened, which was undoubtedly what both of them wanted to do. "You're just doing what you have to do. You're hurting. I'm hurting. It kind of makes sense that we're both here. John and Roary messed with you, she stole your boyfriend. And I just haven't been since the same since...you know, Kat. I just want everything to go back to normal and be happy again and I think that's what you want too." He said, attempting to show a little sensitivity to her situation while showing her pros of sleeping with him. The alcohol in his system really wasn't helping. He wasn't exactly good at these types of conversations. "Please?" He asked in a pathetic tone, while looking at her with pleading eyes, before kissing her neck and moving upward. "You said you wanted to forget about what happened, well this is your chance, what are you going to do?"

Roxanne had slowly started to crawl her way into his lap. She had breathed in the scent of him, and her hands were roaming over his chest. She was really starting to get into it when she heard the door open, and then suddenly the screeching of Sloane. Groaning, she looked over her shoulder and waited patiently as the girl screamed at her about friendship, and how that she was betraying their friendship. And then, just as suddenly as she appeared, the freshman disappeared. Roxanne groaned as she sank her head onto his shoulder, tears welling up. Sure there was some truth to Sloane’s rant. Roary had just spilled her feelings out to Tyler, and then now here he is with her. Maybe…..then Tyler spoke up. "For the record, I don't think you're a bad friend." She pushed herself up, her legs on either side of him. She looked down as he spoke to her, and from what he said, and from what she needed, she knew he was right. She nodded slowly as she realized he was right, ”You’re right,” she said softly as she then let her sad smile slide right into a seductive smile that could shoot straight to a guy’s…erm…head.

Underneath your clothes, there’s an endless story…

Roxanne brushed her hand across her head. She bit her lip as she looked at Tyler. His eyes were closed, and don’t get her wrong. The sex was GREAT. Who knew? She groaned inwardly as she slowly slid from the bed. She looked down at the god who was in the bed, and knew that maybe things would get better. Then she remembered the rampage that was Sloane. She groaned as she stepped into the bathroom, and turned the shower on. She slowly let the water run down her skin, her back resting against the wall. She let her head fall back, wondering what she should do. She soaped herself up, and tried to wash tyler’s touch off of her. Didn’t work. Through the steamed window, she saw him laying on the bed. She groaned as she turned the water to cold. Hey, who said it was only guys who took cold showers.

About half an hour later she stepped out, grabbing an extra towel and wrapped it around her taunt body. She stepped in the room quietly and changed into a pair of low riding black sweat pants, then a black push up bra, with a black tank top, and a white tank top layered underneath. She pushed her wet hair up into a ponytail, and then walked over to the bed. She crawled onto the bed, and then straddled him, the blanket between them. She gently kissed his lips, and whispered a soft thanks and slowly slid off of him. She decided to go mend things, no set things straight more likely.

She headed out the door, and then shut it behind her. She walked down the steps and soon saw Sloane with Grey Goose in hand. Groaning, she headed over to her friend. She turned to Skye, and gave a soft smile. ”Hey girl, sorry to hear bout matt.” she said and then turned to Sloane. ”Listen, you really need to hear me out. Roary CHEATED with John on me. I don’t even talk to John anymore, and Roary, well, she basically got what was bound to happen sooner or later. She called me her best friend, and then turned behind her “best” friend’s back, and cheated on the guy she thought she loved for several months, and then some. Please tell her Skye so she can understand the drama that went down last year.” she said softly as she grabbed a water bottle, and took a sip from it. She wanted her friend back, the girl she knew was going to rule the school after she was gone.

Sighing, she pushed her bangs from her face. She wanted things to work out, but thinking about what had happened upstairs was really starting to get to her. There was definitely nothing bad about the sexual energy that was between them, but for some reason it felt different. It was almost like the sex she had when her and John first started to date. The passionate kind, but with the strings attached. But they made it clear that there would be no strings attached. They just needed someone to have a fling with, and forget the drama. She groaned as she looked at Skye, like she needed to talk to her. Skye knew her, she was afterall, her best friend. Her TRUE one that is.

We were the BEAUTIFUL, DIRTY, RICH couple,
& then I showed him my POKER FACE during our LOVEGAME
& now I`m his PAPARAZZI

Skye was enjoying the bottle of Grey Goose, it was going down so nicely, and it was easing her problems frustration. Skye looked out on the lake, as the moon sparkled off the beautiful water. She didn’t need this, she was a strong woman, and she came here to party, not worry about Matt. The only problem was she did think about Matt, because what he said hurt her. Yea, many people called Skye a b***h, but she was use to that, because she was a b***h and she was happy about that. But, for Matt to call her a slut was out the question. She slept with him once, and she was under the influence at the moment, and other than that the sex they did have was sober, and that was once or twice. Skye was mad at the fact Matt could sleep with some b***h in a dressing room, Riley, and any other b***h he wanted to, but yet he’s not a slut. Skye hated double standards and she was going to make that known. Skye went to get another swig from the bottle, but it was taken out her hand. Oh, that was a mistake, Skye turned around and went to lay a packing on the person who took her bottle, but she stopped once she saw it was Sloane.

Sloane better been glad Skye liked her and she was cool people, because she was getting ready to hear some words that she didn’t want to hear. Skye moved her hair out the way and looked at Sloane. “This is not drowning sorrows, like you’re doing. This is called suppressing anger, and it was working pretty well until you took the bottle.” Skye sass, Sloane, as she took the bottle back from the little girl. Skye took a swig, and listened to what Sloane had to say again. Dancing, hum, that sounded nice, that was going to be the plan. Skye needed to get her mind off of Matt and more on the party, and the cute guys that were in there, just lusting over her. And, with Sloane it would be perfect. Skye was teaching Sloane a couple of dances, just like she taught Roxy. Roxy and Sloane were a perfect fit. Roxy didn’t know how to dance, but she was a great flyer/stunt and so was Sloane – no wonder they hung out together. “Yea, lets do the damnthing!” Skye told Sloane was she got ready to walk into the party, but was cut off by Roxy.

Thanks,” she told Roxy, when she made that comment about Matt. She was over Matt and now she wanted to party till the break of dawn. Wait, what the ******** was going on? What happened? Where was this coming from? Skye was lost, and she needed some direction. “What is going on?” Skye asked, and she got her answer. She was shock, but yet happy. “What!? Roxy, you did it with Tyler? Was he good? Oh my gosh! should I text Roary and tell her? Yea, I should!” Skye said, as she pulled out her phone and formed a quick text to Roary and pressed send. Skye was a heartless b***h, and Roary, well she didn’t care about Roary, she hated her and that was it. She needed to know, and Skye was the perfect person to tell her.

                                            Roary!!!
it must be tough to know the guy
you spilled your heart out to or whatever
just had sex with the girl you double-crossed
                                            last year….yea Roxy & Tyler did it..lol,
                                            life’s good
                                            -skye

Skye looked back at Sloane and Roxy and laughed. She wasn’t laughing at any of them, well she was. Sloane, she was a young girl and she just got into the high school, she didn’t know nay better. “Okay, Sloane…um you think Roary is your friend, but she’s not. That girl is quick to stab anyone in the back so she can get her way. Last year Roxy and John were going together, the “perfect” couple. Well, Roary was a little jealous of that and decided that she wanted John…so, what did she do? She went and slept with John and got together with him. Yea, she got John to break up with Roxy, so she could have him to herself. Now, that things didn’t go as plan, she’s crying like a little baby. It’s just an act, don’t be fool by it. But, if you don’t believe it’s sad to say that you’re going to find out on your own. But, I’ll be there to help you, like I was for Roxy.” Skye explain, as she ran her hands through her hair. Skye couldn’t help but wonder if Roary got her text, man she wish she was there to see Roary read the text, she would die to see the expression on her face.

Oh yea, after that b***h got John, she wanted Tyler. What the ********? She’s just mad that she couldn’t have her cake and eat it too. She got what was coming to her, and she knew from the get go that everything she did was going to come a bite her in the a**, and I’m glad it did,” she added, as she took another sip from the bottle. “Now, when ya’ll two settle this I’m going to be inside dancing.” Skye told Roxy and Sloane, as she walked back into the party and started to do what she said she was going to do – steal the spotlight. Skye had went up to the DJ and told him to play Drop It Low by Ester Dean, and that’s when Skye unleash her dance ability on the crowd. Yea, she whined her hips to the beat as she did the routine she created for the dance. Skye knew how to draw the crowd to her and how to flirt with them too. That’s why she was going to become famous when she grew up, maybe the leader of the Pussycat Dolls, because Skye was in love with the Pussycat Dolls, just not Nicole.

                                      ▉▉▉▉▉▉▉▉▉▉ ▉▉▉▉▉▉▉▉▉▉ ▉▉▉▉▉▉▉▉▉▉

"Well this isn't ostentatious at all" Cory opened the passenger door of Theo's car and stepped out, her judging eyes glued on the large lakehouse property and shook her head. "I have a hard time convincing my parents to give me ten bucks let alone a lakehouse." The girl turned to Theo, only to be replied with a shrug of the shoulder. She scoffed making her way by his side as they made their way up to the front door. I really need to start hanging out with more poor people, she joked. It was no secret the Millers weren't exactly the richest family in Concord. In a town full of retired athletes and world renowned surgeons, Mr. and Mrs. Miller were your normal, middle-class average joes who owned and ran the local grocery store. But although they made good money despite being surrounded by the likes of Wal-Mart and Target, being around the town's upper-class residents made their middle-class earnings look like chump change.

The party was already fully underway, the smell of hard alcohol and what seemed like an endless stream of screams and rants greeting the two as they entered the house. Theo held a tight grip on Cory's hand, making sure he didn't lose the girl, leading the way through the crowd of people. It wasn't long before they found Matt, beer in hand. She gave him an amused smile, pushing Theo forward in front of his best friend. "Alright, here you go Matt. He's all yours tonight. But I have him tomorrow." Her smile faded after getting no reaction, seeing a rather sulking look on Matt's face. "You okay Matt? What happened?" Still, no reaction. It was only then she had noticed Derrick and a girl there with him. "Oh hey Derrick. Nice house." At least from the outside. It looks like a bomb exploded in here. She then turned to the girl, looking her up and down. Wait, who was this girl? She didn't know what it was about her but she looked strangely familiar.

Deciding to think nothing of it, Cory just shot her a small smile and hello then looked up at Theo. "Okay I'm gonna go get a drink," And when I say drink I mean no alcohol whatsoever. She gave Theo a kiss and walked away towards the kitchen. Judging from Matt's less than enthused expression and the murmurs and whispers going around, a lot of petty drama has already taken place. Cory winced as ghosts of Boone parties' past made themselves known in her head. Drama seemed to be a key factor in all his shindigs. From hooking up with then-coach Whiston's daughter, Charlie, to a drunk newspaper editor dancing on top of tables. Oh and a fight. Can't forget that. There always seemed to be some type of brawl influenced by a combination of testosterone and alcohol-induced adrenaline. Entering the kitchen, she made her way towards Derrick's fridge. Grabbing herself a cold bottle of water, she then closed the fridge door only to be startled by two juniors standing there, oddly staring at her. "Um.. can I help you?"

They shared a suspicious look with one another and stepped forward toward Cory. This isn't creepy at all. "You go out with Kyle Kinloch right?" The smell of alcohol wreaked from her breathe and Cory had to step back a little before actually digesting what the girl had asked her. Wasn't that funny? She actually got it a lot from people. Being around Kyle so much during the last school year, it really was no wonder that they'd think that. It was a good thing Theo didn't hear them. He'd blow up in a second. Before Cory could correct them, the other girl decided to conitnue on. "Well, you better watch out because Roary's about to steal your man."

What? "I'm sorry. Did I hear you correctly? Roary and.. Kyle?" She tried picturing it, the b***h head cherrleader trying to make a pass at her best friend. It just didn't register in her head. If people thought, Cory and Theo were an unbelievable outcome, Roary and Kyle together would be like a sign of the ******** apocalypse. The two girls just nodded their heads, a look of devilish accomplishment in their drunk eyes. Cory shook her head, laughing, not really knowing what else to do. "We are talking about Kyle Kinloch right?" Look for yourself, They pointed in the direction across the room. Her look of amusement turned into one of surprise and shock as the crowds parted, finding Kyle chatting it up with Roary. "What the--"

The sight of them struck a strange chord in her. One she really couldn't explain. But she didn't think twice about what she would do and charged her way through the crowd toward them. "Hey you guys!" That seemed a little forced "So uh.. What's going on here huh?"

( ooc ) well this sucked.

—————————————————————————————————————————————

Late nights, won't do me justice
Cause when I drink
I just get so damn depressed,
And its not like, I ain't trying to get over you.
It's just hard to look at all the seasons, pass me over too
Seems like I'm never coming home
Seems like I'm always on my own
All the stars and boulevards ain't close enough for you

—————————————————————————————————————————————

                                            Holy. ********. s**t.

Talk about a turn of events.

It was funny how Tyler's night started out completely horrendous, what with Roary tossing back a few shots and randomly purging all her feelings about him in front of literally everyone in the school, then John breaking up with her, leaving Tyler wondering about the status of John and his friendship along with the status of Roary and his ******** buddy status. She totally broke the rules of hit - it - and - quit -it. You weren't supposed to develop feelings for a fling, much less drunkenly confess them in front of everyone. People never, ever played by the rules anymore, they always twisted them to make it fit their situation. Everyone seemed to only take their feelings into account without even so much as asking the other person what they wanted or how they felt about the entire situation. Selfish ********. Why was it that everyone wanted a relationship? Was ******** - 'em - and - chuck - 'em a dying concept? What about all the people that were too afraid to commit after getting their heartbroken already or just didn't want a relationship, but needed the physical comfort? What happened to those people? They were a dying breed in a world full of relationship - wanters. Really, it wasn't like high school relationships were exactly built to last. And the minority of those that did last typically reached their peak in high school. Tyler didn't want to be one of those types of people. Depending on someone else for their happiness. It just all too sickening.

Thankfully, someone was looking over him and Tyler couldn't help but thank whatever God was up there for the amazingly beautiful goddess - like girl that he had ********. Both of them needed someone to help them forget about whatever issues they were dealing with and just rid themselves of the copious amount of drama that seemed to be consuming everyone. He was lucky to have someone in the same position that he was in, someone who knew what he was going through and willing to help him out and have his back, without the expectations of being in a relationship. That's what Tyler needed. Not someone that was seeing someone else, yet found her way to seduce Tyler in a fragile state (that's how it was in his mind, it made him feel like less of a bad guy) and thought just because he was sleeping with her that they had some type of emotional obligation. Sex and love were two very, very different things. Women didn't get that. At least Roary didn't seem to understand that concept, she mixed the two up, took foolish a risk, and as a result of said stupid risk, royally ******** up her night. Making Tyler look like the bad guy. While he was to blame because it took two to have sex, and he obviously hadn't been objecting (Really, what guy could? Have you seen her?), he thought that they had a mutual understanding of what was going on. He had mistakenly thought that she would be able to handle ******** without the emotional attachment and unfortunately he was proven wrong.

Man, he was more ******** up than he thought.

Kat really did a number on him. If there was a gold medal for breaking hearts then she would definitely win. He absolutely hated how everyone was taking it so lightly while he was there heartbroken and depressed. And that just irritated Tyler to no end, how he needed someone else to make him feel like he was worth something. Break - ups really ******** sucked. But for half an hour, he could finally forget about all of his problems when he was with Roxy (or even Roary for that matter), he could count on her and that was what he liked about her so much. They had always been close, but he had always thought that she viewed him more like just a really good friend or a brother, that certainly hadn't been the case that night. While the sex had been great, he knew if they started something similar to what he and Roary had done then everything would become even more complicated. Hopefully she understood that it was a one time thing, unless she could handle having sex without the whole feelings bit getting in the way. But that was a long shot. s**t, he had feelings for her, even if they were minimal and nothing compared to the ones that he had for Kat or even Roary. ******** this was all too complicated for Tyler's liking, all this drama bullshit was lame, he needed to go find Derrick so they could have some best bud bonding time.

Speaking of his best friend, Tyler remembered that he had gotten a text in the middle of uh...yeah. Him and Derrick were close, and he loved the guy like a brother, but he wasn't about to ruin the mood by opting to text back Derrick instead of ******** Roxy. Hopefully he wouldn't mind. After all, it was the same Derrick that had been bugging him about getting over Kat and trying to hook up with literally every girl that had a decent face and a nice body. Before he could retrieve his phone of the other side of the room (he had thrown it against the wall so it wouldn't bother them again), Roxy had come out of the shower and decided to give him one last kiss before departing. Her kisses were intoxicating and he couldn't but smile back at her when she thanked him. Tyler was a good friend. That's the way he saw it. He was helping out a friend. Just like what Roary had done. She helped him out and her friendliness had inspired him to be more like her and he just wanted to help out another friend. Yeah, that sounded good, a hell of a lot better than him ditching a girl who had just poured her heart out to him and confessed how much she liked him and Tyler, being a major douche, bailed and went to go ******** her beset friend. Er, former best friend. He wasn't quite sure about Roxy and Roary's friendship status, it was all just up in the air. Like everything else in his life.

Slowly getting out of the bed and re - dressing, he picked up his phone and the battery along with the sim card that had fell out after Tyler tossed it aside, after re - assembling his phone, he read over Derrick's text and couldn't help but smirk at it. The dude was always going after laxer chicks. First Jasey, then Riley, and he always seemed to go after them first at parties. Not that Tyler could blame the guy, they obviously had quite a bit of stamina, which benefited Derrick, and Tyler had gone after the jockette who played literally ever sport that she could and could beat most guys at them. Tyler quickly replied to Derrick's text before waiting it out for a couple minutes (so no one could draw a connection between Roxy and him) and heading downstairs.

dude what is it with you and laxer chicks haha
                                            not moping around
i actually just got done with roxy
if you know what i mean haha
                                            i'll be down soon

While Tyler didn't want everyone to know about his latest hook - up with Roxy, he told Derrick almost everything and he had a right to know who he was screwing. Not to mention, Tyler had probably just made Derrick a little more proud and happier since he had just ******** John's ex, who he undoubtedly had some type of emotional attachment to. But that really wasn't the goal of his last tryst, he just wanted to forget about all the drama in his life for a little while, and it worked. Once he returned back to the party scene, his eyes scanned the crowd for the wide receiver, he was slightly taken back with who Derrick was keeping company. Wasn't Matt usually around Theo? Shrugging it off, he seemed like an okay dude when he wasn't around the safety. "Bro, what's up?" Tyler greeted Derrick, giving him a high five and was about to do the same to Matt when he noticed his bruised face and the beer dripping down his face. "Hey, man." He said slowly, what did one say to someone that had just had a beer bath and got punched (he was assuming). Whipping his head around as soon as an all too familiar voice, it was took him a few seconds to register her transformation, but he knew who it was. It was Taylor! Unlike most of the people, Tyler had actually been nice to her, nice enough to make her start liking him, and he wouldn't have been one to object to them going out since she was a cool person, and when he was young and naive personality actually mattered, instead of them going out they had remained friends and he had somehow made out with Cory a couple times. Just the thought of it made him shudder. "Taylor! Dude, it's me Tyler, Tyler Childress. Come here," he said before giving her a quick hug, completely forgetting about the broody linebacker's situation. "Dude, this is so awesome. Are you back for good? You look great, by the way."

——————————————————————————————————————————————

We get along much better
Than you and your boyfriend
Well all I really wanna do is love you
A kind much closer than friends do
But I still can't say it after all we've been through
And all I really want from you is to feel me
As the feeling inside keeps building
And I will find a way to you if it kills me
But I never said a word
I guess I'm gonna miss my chance again

"Good," Kyle said with a bright smile on his face when Roary said she probably wouldn't be drinking anymore at this party, or at all for a while. "You don't need alcohol to have a good time." Reminding himself more than trying to reassure Roary, despite what had happened and what he had done, there was always going to be a craving for a good, strong drink. When times got tough and he didn't know what to do, he had gotten so used to forcing his emotions to shut up and drink it down. Life had became a lot tougher and more difficult when he couldn't rely on alcohol to calm his nerves or make him feel better about life in general, but he had been determined to never, ever drink again. Drinking had caused him to lose everything, he couldn't show his face back at home without feeling like a complete jerk and bearing the weight as the guy that drove the car into a ditch, killing one of his friends. It was all too much for him, but so far he had done a pretty job of keeping his secret safe. . .Until this random guy, who was out to get Kyle, started texting him. Truthfully, Kyle was terrified. Terrified of what would happen and how people would view him afterwards if they found out, but he had to comply to this guy's orders to keep him quiet. There would obviously be an uproar in town once they found out that the starting quarterback, all - american jock was a former drunk driver that killed someone. Parents wouldn't be too happy. And that would mean him getting kicked off the football, basketball, and lacrosse teams. Which would mean he would never get into college and would be thrown into a life of a has - been that never got a second chance, cleaning tables at some run - down diner, living on the street. Oh, God. If there was one thing Kyle could do, it was to psych himself, and that was exactly what he was doing.

Roary's voice pulled Kyle out of his own world and back to reality, and he was thankful for that, all he could think of was the ramifications of his actions that resulted in an unfortunate death. Although she had basically purged all of secrets and feelings about everything, he still wasn't completely sure of how much he could trust her. What if she was working with John? The entire John - Roary - Tyler thing could have all been an act because they knew Kyle's kind nature and knew that he would feel obligated to help Roary out. Leading her to tell him everything about what happened, making him feel like she could trust him; therefore, he could trust her and at any given moment, his trust in her could be violated. They were just buttering him up for his downfall. For now, everyone was a suspect. Everyone. Everyone he thought he could trust, all of the guys on the football team that he thought were his friends, just everyone in the entire state of Massachusetts could be out to get him. He felt so. . .violated. Like everything that anyone had told him was a lie and that he couldn't depend on anyone for anything. It really was him against the world. No one could be trusted. No one would have his back, especially after they found out about what he did. He really didn't want this to come out, out of fear of the lack of people that would be there for him. What he wouldn't give to take back that night.

Through all the psyching himself out and suspicions of what Roary's true motive was, she had subconsciously eased his mind a little once they got on the topic of friends. "Yeah, two friends." Kyle repeated to himself. Two real friends. He wasn't sure how true that would be once all the bad crap he did came out and he wasn't even sure if the two real friends he had were conspiring against him for something that he had done. Hopefully, they wouldn't fail him and his trust in them wouldn't be for naught. "But those two friends are all I need. They're pretty awesome. They're different than the friends I've made because of sports. They don't care about Kyle Kinloch the athlete, they just fine with plain old Kyle. That's what I love the most about them." He replied and couldn't help but smile at the thought of them, so far Henry and Cory hadn't ever let him down and he never let either of them down. One would think that Kyle and Henry wouldn't be as close as they were seeing as Kyle was a quarterback and Henry was a halfback, but they had both been underrated in the beginning of the season and no one had gave either of them their chance to shine, so they bonded over that and the fact that both of them were die hard Cowboys fans didn't hurt either.

Let's just hope that Henry wasn't "`i know." While he was still a suspect, everyone was, Kyle couldn't see what Henry would gain out of this. If Kyle wasn't the quarterback then John would be it (unless someone else showed him up, but John would eventually find a way to manipulate them and force his way back to his position) and he would get the ball less and less. When John was the starter, he wasn't exactly Henry's biggest fan (another reason why Kyle and Henry were such good friends!), and his dislike for the halfback resulted in him never getting the ball, despite Coach Whiston calling running plays. John would always audible, set up the play - action, or run the option and end up passing it, leaving Henry with minimal playing time. On the other hand, Kyle was a firm believer in that football was the ultimate team sport and one person can't do it all, thus, increasing Henry's playing time. He was a great player once he got out into open field, it was a shame that he didn't get enough playing time that he deserved up until last season.

"No, really, it's fine. I like helping people out and you needed someone that could listen to you. So it all worked out. I'm not much of a partier, anyways." He said trying to assure her that she wasn't a burden, he had taken it upon himself to talk to her and help her out, it hadn't been the other way around. While she was intimidating and scary as hell, Roary was actually a genuinely nice person. Maybe it was because she had just gotten her heart broken and was looking for someone to comfort her, but even given the circumstances it took a strong person to be able to talk to someone like Kyle after what had happened. Kyle found himself being dragged up by the hand, earning a grin from him. Slowly that grin and fleeting happiness subsided once he felt his phone vibrate, he hoped that it was someone apart from this mystery person that was out to get him, but sure enough, it was the douche bag. His eyes popped out in horror as his face blanched with fear as he read the text. What the hell was this guy trying to get Kyle to do? What sort of twisted individual would want to add salt to the wound and hurt someone as kind as Roary even more? This dude was seriously a mental case. Kyle could feel his mouth go dry and his heartbeat start to pick up. s**t, he had to do this. There was no way out. No loopholes. Hopefully, later on, Roary could find it in her heart to forgive Kyle for such a crime, but he needed to protect his secret. People looked out for themselves, him and Roary weren't exceptionally close considering this was their first encounter with each other since he moved, so hopefully it wouldn't sting that badly. He could only hope.

Taking a deep breath, how did one prepare to call a girl who had just gotten her heart broken a "loose slut that would never amount to anything?" This was just inhumane, what sick person would get pleasure from this. Kyle was more concerned about hurting Roary even more than his own image, which would undoubtedly be tainted in her eyes as well as everyone else's considering her influence over HDT. God, he really did not want to do this. "Hey, R-r-roary." His voice cracking when he said her name, focusing over her head as opposed to her face, he couldn't bear looking at her pained face once he told her this. "I, uh...um...I think that, uh, y-y-you're, uh..." Grow a pair and man up, Kinloch. In that moment his gaze went from the top of her head to their hands, still interlocked with each other, leaving him with an uneasy feeling in the pit of his stomach. "Y-you're a l-l-loose..." Trailing off as soon as his eyes met hers. [******** it, I can't do this to her. How could anyone? She had just put all her trust in him and he wasn't about to betray her that easily, just to keep a secret in. What a p***y. People were supposed to look out for themselves, not other people, but Kyle couldn't help but feel sorry for her and not want to hurt her even more. She had endured enough pain and humiliation for the night.

"I th-think that you're, uh...a-absolutely amazing." s**t where did that come from? Might as well go with it. ********] "I can't imagine what you're going through, if I were you, I would've handled it so differently, but you could handle it with this grace and poise that anyone would envy. You're talented, nice, and really, really beautiful. Any guy would be lucky to have you, and you shouldn't settle for anything less than the best, which is what you deserve." Nice ******** save, Kyle. Now she probably thinks your some weird a** crazed stalker freak. s**t. Way to make a fool out of yourself. ******** honesty being the best policy. Honesty never ******** works. Swallowing hard, he could feel his heartbeat speed up out of nerves, feeling his stomach flip over again and a blush spread across his face. Automatically removing his eyes from her face to the ground, it would've been way to embarrassing to look at her. "You know what?" He said abruptly, his voice cracking only a little, without giving Roary time to react to what he said, closing the space between them. What the hell was he doing? It seemed like his body was doing the complete opposite of what his brain was telling him to do, which was to the get the hell out of there. "People are going to talk regardless of what we do or don't do. Might as well give them something to talk about. You wanted a great time, right? I think I show you one." Jesus Chirst, where the ******** did that come from? I think I've been hanging out with Derrick and Tyler a little too much... As before, his body was doing exactly what his mind was telling him not to, slipping one hand around her waist and craning his neck to give her a kiss before stopping centimeters away from her lips. "s**t, I'm really sorry about this. I don't what I'm doing. You just broke up with your boyfriend and I'm hitting on you. And you obviously like another guy. God, I'm so insensitive. ********. I am so sorry." The only thing that he could hope for was that she was too hammered to think straight and would probably forget about this entire affair in the morning. Even if he had seen an expression on her face that matched his for a split second.

                                    "Hey you guys!"

Thank God for Cory Miller. While he was still tremendously embarrassed by making a fool out of himself in front of Roary, his embarrassment seemed to be subdued by happiness. Whipping his head around, a beaming, genuine smile came across his face. He hadn't seen her in what felt like forever (since he went from seeing her everyday to every other weekend, if even that), so of course he was ecstatic to see his best friend. Fighting the urge to break out into a full out sprint and tackle hug her because that would be really ******** weird. Instead he simply walked over to her and gave her a big hug. "You have no idea how much I love you right now." He mumbled into her ear, knowing it would seem a bit odd to her catching Kyle with someone like Roary. Releasing her after a few seconds and putting a friendly arm around her shoulders. Ok. Cool. This time he could fulfill his orders to call her a loose slut. "Oh, you know, just hanging out with this loose slut." He jokingly said, using the term "loose slut" a term of endearment, secretly hoping that Roary would find offense in that statement and slap him or something and they could never talk again. "So, uh...How was your date? Where's Theo?"

Roary found herself licking her lips and looking away from him. Oh jeez, what the hell was she doing? This wasn’t supposed to be who she was…talking openly about these things. Then again, she hadn’t really been the one to hide how she felt about someone…Well, mostly in a negative way. She knew that the only person she had ever really opened up to like she had towards Kyle was Tyler…and that was when they had been alone. Well, then and when she had just done so tonight. So, yeah…that was about all of the open talking that she had really done as of late. She continued to hold his hand, even when she had looked away from him. Her sudden question as to whether or not he’d like to dance seemed to disappear suddenly and for some reason…she didn’t mind! She was happy here, talking to him. When he pulled out his phone to look at a message he had gotten, she looked out another window, smiling to herself. She felt so much better thanks to Kyle…she wanted him to know that she was thankful. She wasn’t going to kiss him…do anything dirty with him…She just wanted him to have a good time. And if that meant them dancing or just chilling out, she didn’t care. Besides…she knew neither John nor Tyler missed her…even though every time she thought about Tyler, she wished that he did. No…he didn’t. He was probably off somewhere, drinking his a** farther and farther into feeling shitty… And for some reason…that hurt her. She closed her eyes and was suddenly brought back from the painful thoughts when Kyle started talking again…

“Well, there only may be two of them, but at least you have them.” she replied.

“Right now, I probably only have one…Well, two if I include you…”

Roary looked at him, smiling shyly.

“That is, if you’d like to be. I can understand it if you’re scared of me… I’d be scared of me too if I’d seen some of the things I’d done to others from a different perspective…”

She let herself think back to some of the things she had done. Everyone seemed to think she was this trash-talking b***h, who sat on her thrown and ruled the school. That was partially true, but it didn’t mean she talked trash about everyone. If someone didn’t like the fact that she spoke bluntly about them, then it was just too damn bad… That’s how she was. When Kyle started talking again…well, stuttering actually, she looked back up at him, allowing her thoughts to disappear once more.

“Huh?” she asked, wondering what he was trying to say.

                                            “Well, spit it out Kyle!”

He continued stuttering and she laughed. Maybe he was nervous about something? She didn’t really know…she just wanted to know what he was going to try and tell her. Then, the flood came. He started telling her how beautiful and graceful she was…She deserved someone better? Wow…no one had actually just come on out and really told her who she should be with. Roary listened to him, her eyes wide as he spoke to her…telling her and making her feel better about herself. She couldn’t help but let her smile grow wider. Damn, this boy was just too easy to get along with… If she didn’t have so many damn feelings for Tyler, she would have actually gone in to kiss him after that one… That was just too sweet. Kyle seemed like he had been troubled that night, but he certainly had no trouble telling Roary what he thought about her.

                                            “Kyle…that’s so…”

But she didn’t get to finish what she was about to say to him. Before she could even get the rest of the words out of her mouth, he had moved closer to her and they were nose to nose. Roary blinked, surprised. Wow…she had not seen this coming. Though, for some reason…it felt so nice… She felt her breath catch in her throat and she closed her eyes. He was going to kiss her. She was going to kiss him back…and she wasn’t going to let anything stop her…

                                            Tyler…Tyler…

Roary bite her lip. No! That boy was not going to ruin this for her! She did not like him anymore…He had betrayed her for probably some random girl…And she wasn’t going to let him get the best of her. Not this time. John? He was history. She would win against him too… No one would make her feel that low again. She would show both of them what they had missed. Kyle? He just happed to be the one there…to see her for what she really was…He had helped her come back to reality. When he snaked his arm around her and bent to kiss her, she leaned against him and moved her head up to kiss him back.

                                            Tyler…

Stop it! Her heart was slamming against her ribs and she was so warm… Nervousness? Why was she so nervous? Why did she seem so worried. Why the BLOODY HELL was Tyler continuously invading her thoughts?! She didn’t want to think about him anymore! Then, someone was suddenly calling to both of them. Roary reacted quickly, pulling away from Kyle and looking at Cory. The girl looked slightly confused and maybe just a tad bit annoyed? Roary suddenly felt guilt washing over her. This was Kyle’s best friend, and she was sure she wouldn’t have liked to have seen what they were about to do. Maybe it was a good thing she had come in and broken them up when they did…Roary just couldn’t get that other damn boy out of her head. She watched as Kyle practically tackled Cory into a hug and she couldn’t help but smile. These two were really good friends…something Roary could only imagine having now. She felt slightly jealous, but not too much. Kyle was good…she knew they would be friends. Though, for now…maybe Cory would be a bit more difficult to make believe Roary was truly good.

“Oh! Hey Cory…” she replied nervously.

“I’m sorry I kept Kyle as long as I did…I, we were just talking about some issues…He’s a good friend. You should be thankful.”

She gave Cory a genuine smile and felt her phone buzz. Roary pulled it out and noticed that it was a text from Skye…Lovely. She read it over…and felt her heart literally drop to the pit of her stomach. Roxy had slept with Tyler…and she was still going on about the whole John thing. ******** b***h…Roary felt her cheeks grow heated from the twinge of anger and guilt washing over her body. Why the HELL had she done that? Roxy couldn’t just get over the fact that for once, Roary was telling the truth…That she and John were forced? No! She had to get all pissy after Roary had spilled her feelings out and go and sleep with the guy. Roary closed her eyes, trying to calm herself down. Why the ******** was she so jealous of her sleeping with Tyler? She had dropped that boy after he had left her there, all alone. Why couldn’t she just let this jealousy go and let Roxy live out her little lie in her perfect little world? Because Roary wasn’t over Tyler. She finally knew what was going on…Maybe it had taken an “almost” kiss with Kyle and a completely stupid message from Skye to make her figure this out, but she now knew… Now she knew how Tyler felt when he had lost Kat…and it wasn’t a lovely feeling. First, she was going to calm down and text that girl back. She wasn’t going to start anything… but she was going to say something.

                                            To: Skye
                                            From: Roary

                                            Hmmm…
Must be tough for you to know Matt found himself someone better…
Maybe if you didn’t lie so much Skye,
and actually tried to find out the truth, we wouldn’t have this issue.
Then again, I’m not surprised he left you…
You really tend to think everything should go your way.
When in reality sweetie, this is the real world.
                                            Don’t be too upset, ‘kay?
Look, I’m not gonna start anything, and if you’re trying to start something…
                                            That’s just too bad.
I’m not gonna stoop to your level, nor fight you…
                                            Ahhhh…life is good.
                                            Love ya!!!

Roary smiled to herself as she sent the text and stowed away the iPhone into her shorts pocket. She heard Kyle respond to Cory’s question, asking them what they were up to…Loose? Really? Roary felt that familiar twinge of anger run through her, but she let it pass. Maybe he was putting up a front for Cory so she wouldn’t think anything about them being alone back here. She shook her head and let a frown fall upon her face.

“Yeah…Kyle was just basically back hear telling me to rid myself of my dirty ways…” she murmured sadly.

She looked at him, upset that he would say anything like that. But, she wasn’t going to hold it against him. If he didn’t want her and Cory to be friends, she could understand. But, she DID want to be friends with Kyle, and she didn’t want to do that without being friends with Cory too…so she wouldn’t be mean or rude to either of them.

“Luckily…I know when to take a joke.” she said, looking at Kyle intentionally while she spoke this.

She was used to Tyler talking to her that way, but Kyle never struck her as that kind of guy. So, she knew he wasn’t doing it just to say it. He had a reason…but she would find out later. For now, she would just let it pass and keep on going.

“But, I guess you two want friend time, so I’ll leave ya alone…Sorry Cory, I just didn’t know you were looking for him.” she finished.

She gave one last smile to Kyle and walked away, but not before telling him that she would text him later. After she did so, she left them alone and made her way back into the party. Though, not before stopping in a close bathroom and checking her make up. Once she looked perfectly normal again, she shut off the lights and headed back into the room. She passed Roxy and Skye, talking to Sloane…Probably filling the poor girl’s head with useless nonsense…Too bad for her. She knew she had better sense than to believe anything that came out of their mouths. She walked into the kitchen and grabbed a cup, filling it with water. She would keep her promise to Kyle for now and not drink…He head was already hurting and she was starting to really regain her composure…She wasn’t so much as drunk than she was sober now. She took a sip of the water and relished the cool feeling it gave her. Then, she walked back out into the party and began just talking to random people.

Suddenly, she noticed a girl that she hadn’t seen before. Was that Taylor? NO WAY! She had come back…and she was pretty? Well, as pretty as she could be. Roary wasn’t vain, but the girl wasn’t gorgeous like she was. But! That didn’t stop Roary from walking over.

“Wow…love what you’ve done to yourself, Taylor.” she said.

“I barely recognized you…I PROMISE that is a compliment!”

She let out a small laugh, only to cut it short when she saw Derrick and Tyler, both coming over to talk. So, he had managed to get his clothes back on and come back down to planet Earth. Probably wanted to get some other girl…Then, they started talking with Taylor. Roary couldn’t help but smile. He was ridiculous…really ridiculous.

If he’s so ridiculous, then why can’t you stop thinking about him?

Roary shook her head. No! She wouldn’t let him know she still liked him. Of course, that was probably too late. All she could do was act as though she didn’t care…When in reality, she knew that he would know she did.

                                            “Careful girl…” she began.

“They’ll play you like a fiddle, just so they can get in your pants…”

She let out another laugh, as though she was joking. She winked at Derrick, then gave Tyler a small look. A small, fleeting look that to anyone else would just look neutral…but it wasn’t. Then, she walked away. She had to keep walking…she had to keep herself from turning around and screaming at him…demanding to know what Roxy had that she didn’t. But no, she wouldn’t do it. She would act as though nothing was bothering her at all. Maybe she was just a terrible actress.

Roary walked out onto the balcony, letting the night air surround her, bringing her back from her drinking and letting her relax. She leaned against the railing, after closing the door and looked out over the lake. It really was beautiful here…and for some reason, she didn’t mind being on her own just in this moment. Despite the fact that she wished someone would join her…or the fact that she just wanted him to understand…she knew that thinking right now was a good thing. So, why didn’t he understand?

                                            Roary…let him go…

But she couldn’t. He was annoying the s**t out of her in her thoughts and she couldn’t stand it. And if that wasn’t enough, she couldn’t stop the jealousy and the fact that she felt slightly, if not even more heartbroken over the fact that Roxy had slept with him…after all that she had said to him. Why?! Why did that even have to happen? Why did she have to like him… Because she just did…that was why. And if she knew he didn’t like her anymore…then why was she still thinking about him? She had to find Sloane…she had to talk to someone and just figure this out! What was wrong with her?

Theo smirked slightly at Cory’s comment about Derrick’s house as the pair of them exited his old Civic and made their way towards the large lake house. Shrugging in response, Theo turned his eyes to the large building. It was a bit much, he would give her that. I mean, all of Concord knew who Derrick Boone was. Was it necessary to further cement that through allowing him to have his own personal party house? Upon hearing Cory’s comment about having to hang out with poor people more often, a small smirk grew on his face. ”I thought that was why you were dating me,” Reaper joked, allowing a small chuckle to escape his mouth. Theo’s mother had passed away some years ago, leaving his strict father to care for young boy. The guy was in the army, so Theo barely seen his father. The Grimm’s made decent money, but Theo never saw his father and the man barely bought him anything. The two of them had a stressed relationship on their good days, which was frankly why Theo did not talk about his home life, nor did he like to bring Cory to his house when his dad was in town.

The second that Theo opened the door, his eyes met the sight of chaos. This was most definitely a party at Chez Boone. Shaking his head in amusement, Theo reached behind him and took Cory’s hand in his as he lead her through the large crowd of people that had come together in the large lake house. Theo’s eyes scanned the room as he moved through the sea of drunken high school students, looking for the person that had essentially begged him to come to this party. It wasn’t long before Theo caught sight of his best friend speaking with Derrick and some girl that he didn’t recognize. Theo wasn’t quite sure how he felt about Derrick Boone anymore. The guy had been such a douche bag before, and yet he seemed to be different now. The two had gotten on speaking terms during hockey season and rugby season. If Theo wasn’t such a hardass all the time, the two might have even become friends.

" Alright, here you go Matt. He's all yours tonight. But I have him tomorrow."

Theo smirked as he was shoved in Matt’s direction, looking back at Cory over his shoulder. . ”What am I, a slab of meat,” Reaper said, a bit of sarcasm lacing his tone before looking over at Matt. His smile quickly faded as he saw that the guy was obviously unhappy. Studying his friend more closely, Theo noted that there was a slight bruise on his cheek and that his face was drenched with beer. A frown crossed Theo’s face, assuming that someone had started trouble with him that night. Theo made a mental note to ask Matt what happened when Cory was gone. Turning his head, he gave Derrick a curt nod as a greeting. ”Sup Boone,” Theo said, eyes moving to Chili as he joined the party. Again, he gave this team mate a curt nod. Ever since Chili and Theo had gotten in a fight the last football season, Theo hadn’t really been Chili’s big fan. The guy had barely beaten him in an even fight, and everyone in the school had said that Chili had kicked Theo’s a**. The guy had gotten lucky. Theo didn’t give Taylor any recognition, simply because he didn’t recognize her, nor did he care enough to recognize her. Knowing Derrick, she was just another girl that was getting played.

Theo gave Cory a kiss as she excused herself to have a drink. Watching her go, primarily to ensure that she was out of earshot, Theo turned his attention to his friend with a serious look on his face. ”Alright, seriously, what the ******** happened to your face,” Theo said, pointing at the growing bruise on the teenager’s face. ”Do I have to kick someone’s a**? Am I doing it? Tell me I’m doing it.” Theo was half joking, half serious. He assumed that Matt was more than able to take care of himself, but Theo had always been the guy that could throw down. He crossed his arms over his chest as he waited for his friend to answer him, more than willing to shut the mouths of some of the people in Concord. Ever since he had begun to date Cory and back up what he said less, people had begun calling him Windbag. That nickname drove him crazy. Just because he was trying to not be as violent as had been in the past did not mean he did not back up what he said at all. Like tonight. If someone was ******** with Matt, Theo was going to make sure that they regretted it.
