Theo couldn’t help but allow a smile to cross his face as Cory apologized. He really did not want to be the first to apologize, especially considering the fact that he hadn’t started the fight this time. Okay, so he could have stood up for her sooner than he did when Matt was obviously trying to be a d**k; however, she did not need to say what she did. It wasn’t like he asked why she was friends with Kyle, which was even a bigger deal because they were opposite sexes and Kyle probably knew Cory better than Theo did. This time, Theo listened to Cory’s explanation instead of interrupting her with rude comments, as he had done earlier that day. The teenager’s smile broadened as she almost said the word. Theo didn’t see what the big deal was on who said it first. It was obvious they felt that way about one another. Reaper simply did not see why he had to say such a sappy and demasculating word as ‘love’. He decided to let her go with that near slip-up. He had done the same thing the night before and she hadn’t said anything about it. He would return the favor.

”I know Cory,” Theo said in a comforting tone, rubbing her forearm lightly with his hand. ”I’ll talk to him okay. He’s my best friend and you’re my girlfriend. The guy is just going to have to deal.” It seemed that having Matt as a friend was beginning to become a lot of trouble. If only the guy would be cool with Cory, things would not be nearly as difficult. Half the arguments that they had so far this week had revolved around Matt in one way or another. Like today, if Theo hadn’t invited Matt then his time with Cory at the mall might have been an enjoyable one. But no, instead half the date was spent with Matt discretely insulting Cory and the later half was spent with the two arguing about Matt and his friendship with Theo. Even now, the mentioning of Matt’s text caused a negative reaction from Cory. Reaper didn’t say anything about this reaction though, for Theo had been annoyed by the text as well. The safety nodded as Cory said that she would think about attending the party. As unbelievable as it sounded, Theo didn’t care what they did, as long as he was with her.

Theo leaned forward and listened as Cory explained how her college course was going so far over the summer semester. Initially, a smile crossed his face as she said that it was going well. It was nice to know that she was doing great in a class that was above the high school level of education. However, this smile soon faded when he realized that she had been lying and actually hated it. Theo listened intently as she explained her various problems that were associated with this one course at Boston College. That was one subtle way that Theo had changed. He actually listened and cared about someone’s life other than his own and occasionally Matt’s. It seemed that Cory simply brought out the best of him. When Cory was done explaining, Theo allowed a small smile to cross his face. He reached over the table and rubbed her hand affectionately with the thumb of his. ”Cory, you’re the smartest, hardest working girl that I know,” Theo said honestly, locking eyes with his girlfriend. ”I know for a fact that you are going to do great. And as far as missing me goes, I can always drive up in the civic and visit you during the week when I don’t have to work.”

As Theo finished what he had to say, Cory’s phone buzzed, Theo pulled back his hand as Cory reached for her phone, nodding slightly as she said that it was Kyle. Theo was still unsure of how he felt about the whole Kyle thing. The guy texted her just as much as Theo did, which kind of threatened the safety. Kyle was a nicer person than Theo and knew much more about Cory than he did. If he even had the slightest feelings for the newspaper chick, Theo thought that she would pick him over Theo. That was half the reason he wouldn’t say it. He was afraid that after he said it, she might still leave him for Kyle and make him feel like a dumbass for saying it. However, these thoughts always made him feel guilty and he never dwelled on them for long. There was no way there was an attraction between Cory and Kyle. Absolutely no way, right?

                                        Okay, let’s go this party.

These words brought a smile to Reaper’s face. It was nice to see that Cory was taking his advice and lightening up some. Perhaps Matt would stop being such a jerk if Theo was more present at parties. As Cory gathered up her things, Theo did the same. The thought that Kyle had swayed Cory’s decision of whether or not to go to the party did not even cross his mind. He simply thought that she was going to keep him happy. Throwing his Cougar rugby windbreaker and grabbing his football jacket in one hand, Theo allowed himself to chuckle as Cory commented on how she should return him to Matt. He wrapped an arm around her waist and placed a small peck on her forehead. ”You’re so awesome babe.” Theo said in a sweet tone before feeling a vibration in his pocket. Pulling out the device, he read over the text message from Matt before laughing. Why was this guy acting like such a b***h?

”You would think that HE was my girlfriend,” Theo joked, showing Cory his phone with a smirk on his face. After he had given her a sufficient amount of time to read the text, he quickly formulated a response before pressing the send key. He slipped the phone back into his pocket and continued to walk with Cory towards the mall entrance. He only hoped that remainder of the night would be a good one. He and Cory had gotten off to a rocky start on their date, he was looking forward to finishing strong.

You are such a little b***h!
Haha We’re coming dude. You can take
that razor away from your wrist. We’ll
                                        be there in like twenty.

Roxanne made a small smile as she winked at the little boys who were now staring at her. She groaned as she saw Roary walk their way. This was not the best way to start her day at the lake house. She straightened up, waiting for an attack, and of course the only way Roary would ever attack her would be what she just did. She moved into territory that Roxy had claimed. The room basically could feel the tension between the two ex best friends. Roxy almost opened her mouth to say something towards the skank who dared to even think about doing this again, but was enveloped in a warm hug.

Looking up, she saw that it was Tyler. She let out a tiny sigh as she felt his arms encase her. She wrapped her arms around his waist, and it seemed as if all her trouble had gone away. He had been her friend since the second grade. He was the one who always made sure she was happy, who brought her the extra pudding cup from his house. She smiled as she snuggled against him, her nose taking in the smell of his body. She let out a little groan as she realized that this felt good, her best friend made her want to take him to the table and push him against it and…

Stopping, she took a step back, ”Hey Roary” she said softly, her voice was even, but all she really wanted to do was leap across the table and strangle. Seeing Roary was like wanting to see a dog that you wanted to kick to the curb but you feed it anyway because it was so pitiful. That is what she felt towards her, being her best friend, and then turning and cheating on the one guy she actually loved. She wasn’t as much as a skank when she was with John. But now seeing Roary she knew John wasn’t too far behind.

She listened as Roary spoke up, and then she saw Roary give Tyler the eye. She bristled a little, and wanted to do things to piss her off, but then she really didn’t have to. She stopped short when she heard Tyler’s comment. She let her arms prop herself up, arching her back slightly, and looked at him over her shoulder, ”Why Tyler Thomas Childress, are you flirting with me you sexy drunk?” she giggled as she took a step towards him. She then stopped short; he had turned his back, mumbling something about getting another drink. Smiling, she reached into her pocket and pulled out a twenty, ”Sorry chica, I didn’t know where you were.” she giggled and then looked over her shoulder towards Tyler’s retreating backside. She bit her lip shortly after that she saw Roary go after him. Of course all the girls go after him, but there was something about her look.

Sure they were best friends for the longest time, but something was off. This wasn’t Roary’s normal stalking look. This was her look that she had never seen before. She bit her lip as she had followed them, and then suddenly she was caught up in a whirl of drama. First she just heard Roary confessing her “love” for Tyler, and that made her anger flare, and then John appeared out of nowhere, dropping her flat on his a**. ”Woah!” Roxy didn’t know whether to be happy or not, but then she realized she shouldn’t be either. There went John right up to Ella. She glowered at him, but then she tried to catch Tyler’s eye, and just gave him a saddened look. She felt an arm wrap around her waist and she looked up to see Derrick. She bit her lip, looking over her shoulder she threw another look towards Tyler, hoping that he at least caught one.

”Hey There Derrick, of course Sloane and I would.” she giggled as she looped her arm around his waist, and tucked her hand into his back pocket. She pushed her hair from her face and walked out, her eyes taking in the view. ”Oh god this is beautiful.” she said as she slipped from his grasp. She walked over to the water’s edge and stripped her shirt from her body. Her long lean body was contrasted against the moonlight pouring down from the sky. The tribal tattoo rode with her hips tantalizing people who watched. Her maroon bikini was almost dark against her skin, but she didn’t care she looked good. Dipping her toe in, she looked at her friends and winked, ”Unless you’re a p***y, you would get in with me.” she said jokingly to her friends. Taking the shot her friend had offered to her she grabbed it and took it down, she needed to get trashed. This was not her night obviously. Who does Roary think she is.

She smiled as she looked out over the lake, ”It’s going ok, nothing too exciting.” she said grimly as she undid her shorts and pulled them from her body. She was now clad in her maroon bikini, and her shorts and shirt tossed on the dock next to her. She sighed as she looked around, things couldn’t get any worse. Roary had both of those damn guys wrapped around her finger. She smirked as she took a deep breath and slipped into the water. The cold shot through her, letting her body react of course. ”I-i-i-ts not that c-c-c-old” she stuttered out as she treaded water. She wanted the water to number her feelings for these damn boys and their problems.

Late nights, won't do me justice
Cause when I drink
I just get so damn depressed,
And its not like, I ain't trying to get over you.
It's just hard to look at all the seasons, pass me over too
Seems like I'm never coming home
Seems like I'm always on my own
All the stars and boulevards ain't close enough for you

—————————————————————————————————————————————

"So, Roxy, do you wanna-" Tyler was cut off (the guy really couldn't get a word in edge-wise today), by another gorgeous brunette, who he swore he had seen before, but at the moment couldn't recall her name. What a douche move. She apparently knew him, though. Tyler had gotten used to his popularity by now and people giving him high fives or clapping him on the back after a game and knowing every detail of his personal life (funny how John, the master manipulator, didn't). "Hey, uhh...Sloane? Right? Sorry I'm not the best with names." Hopefully she wouldn't b***h him out like most girls did when he forgot their names. You knew when you were going to mix up all the Roxy's, Roary's, and Riley's in the world. Accompanying his greeting with a charming smile, that usually took the heat off of whatever mistake he had made. "Just call me Chili." Opening his mouth again to say something, Tyler was, yet again, rudely interrupted. Throw me a ******** bone here. Would people stop interrupting me? Is that really too much to ask for? ********] This time; however, he was interrupted by Roary. Great. Another round of insulting Roary and acting like a jerk that didn't give a rat's a** about her. Why couldn't she just stay away from him in public? She was practically forcing Tyler to act like a douche bag to her.

                                            "Look at me."

Tyler did as she commanded, crossing his arms and standing up as straight as possible to reach his full height in order to look a tad bit more intimidating, in hopes of maybe making her re-think what she was about to say. "What do you want? I thought I already told you that I didn't want a b*****b! Back off! It was Derrick's idea to go to your, uh, "work." By the looks of it, you're not a very good hooker if you can't please your customers." Tyler asked, his tone wreaking with sarcasm, keeping a calm, neutral demeanor, trying to make it look like he wasn't taking the conversation seriously. "Yeah, I know you're ******** tired of it, I would be too. The life of a whore doesn't seem that appealing to me either, contrary to public opinion. Why don't you just quit it? Don't you make enough money of that "acting" you do, though? By the way, me and Derrick love your work." Tyler retorted back half-amused, half-worried about what was going to follow, maybe this conversation wouldn't be a serious one after all? Every conversation they had in public, Tyler always got worked up that she was going to explode and confess her feelings and all that inward bullshit. It never happened, so why would it happen now? "So, if you'll excuse m-"

                                            "I like you!"

Tyler's calm and collected expression immediately changed to a worried, concerned one. Oh ********, ******** ******** ******** ********. Please don't do what I think you're going to do.
. "Roary, you're drunk. You don't know what you're saying." This obviously wasn't the appropriate time for a conversation like this and she had a couple drinks, she didn't know what she was saying. Or at least that's what he told himself. His eyes went from her face to the floor, he couldn't bear to look at her while she was making a fool out of herself in public for him. She was doing this for him. And that's what was breaking his heart, he did have feelings for her (only a little), but he had to be a good friend to John. They agreed to a no strings attached relationship. Tyler actually wasn't ready for a relationship, he just got out of one and that sure as hell took a toll on him. Part of him wanted to smile, give her a hug, then head to a closet and have sex; however, the majority of him wanted to let her go and stop screwing up her relationship of practically three years. Despite Tyler not exactly liking the circumstances that he was put in, he wouldn't hold it against Roary afterwards. Alcohol did have a tendency to loosen up people's tongues (in more ways than one). "Come on. Don't say that. I'm a hundred percent sure that your relationship was based on something more than lust. Why do you think you guys kept getting back together? It's a sign, you guys are meant to be together. You've just been, uh...Misguided."

                                            “Its over.”

So much for trying to reason with Roary, it was John he had to worry about.

Way to go, Tyler. You just single-handedly ruined your friend's relationship and for what? Just because you wanted to be happy? I'm such a ******** a d**k. Tyler scolded himself internally, glancing over at Derrick who swept away the girl he actually wanted to hook up with and the beautiful brunette that he didn't know the name of. Casting one longing glance in the direction of Roxy before returning to Roary, despite all the cruel things she had said about John, they did have at least something between them, they were both probably hurting in some way. s**t, when did Tyler become a professor at the matters of the heart? This was all too much. Admittedly, he was happy that his feelings for her had been mutual all this time and liked how she cared enough about him to help him through his break, even if it wasn't necessarily in the best way possible. Honestly, he could care less about his happiness at the moment, he would rather have his two friends be together and happy with Tyler single and enjoying the bachelor life, than them breaking up because of Tyler. He didn't know why she was throwing away a safe, working relationship for him. There really wasn't anything special about him, he was an average guy. John always seemed so superior to him in literally every way possible. Even with his less than stellar athletic ability, he seemed to always get the attention he wanted due to his position as the quarterback and he always managed to get the girl that Tyler wanted, like Roxy and Roary, for instance. Through everything, Tyler always had John's back, even if he did feel that John was better than him, they were brosephs.

So he could either be the best friend of the year or the guy with the hottest girlfriend.

                                            Choices, choices, choices.

A feeling of guilt washed over his face as he saw John making a move on Ella. You guessed it. Tyler's unwavering loyalty accompanied with the guilt of breaking up the second hottest couple of the year (the first being him and Kat) over his feelings for Roary. Really, what kind of guy does that? It was such a douche move, to think that at he was trying to work up the courage to break it off with Roary and then she just had to pull this crap and make things complicated. John and Roary always found a way back to each other, Tyler was just a bump in the road. She was making an irrational decision based on lust instead of taking everything into account. Bros over hoes. John would do the same thing for you, right? "You've been drinking, you don't know what you're saying. I think that it's really nice that you care about me enough to help me out after a bad break up, but I shouldn't have...uh...you know. Don't trade in something good for something new. I'm not going to lie because that's what got us here in the first place, I do have feelings for you, but I can make that go away easily. You can't throw away practically three years with John for me. You guys are good together. The best advice I can give you is to forget about me. I'll back off. Maybe somewhere down the road we can be friends, but for right now, you should focus on what really matters. I'll be fine, I always am. Worry about yourself, not me. Go save your relationship." Whoa. That could quite possibly be the biggest piece of horse s**t he had ever said to someone. However, he was mildly impressed with what he managed to pull out of his a**, considering the circumstances.

"You know I'm right. The course of true love never did run smooth." Did I really just quote Shakespeare? s**t, Kat did rub off on me. He had to stop pining over a girl that wasn't going to come back. At least he was thinking about her less and less with each passing day, partially thanks to Roary. But that was it. They only hooked up because Roary felt bad for Tyler and he found solace in her. For a short time. With no strings attached. Why couldn't Roary just stop being there for him when he needed her? She could've left the job up to someone less or just let Tyler stay in his slump and be depressed. Casting one more glance towards Roary before walking away. And the award for best friend of the year goes to...Tyler Childress. But was that what he really wanted? Of course not. What guy wouldn't want to have the girl of his dreams after chasing after her for what seemed like forever? He just wasn't ready for a long-term, committed relationship at the time and he didn't want to break up a couple that had more history than Brett Favre and Donald Driver. Besides, there were plenty of other fish in the sea that weren't dating, ********, and/or in love with John Cunningham.

                                            Time to go find Roxy.

Maybe there weren't that many girls that Tyler was attracted to that didn't like John. ********. Oh well. She wasn't dating him. Heading over to Derrick's personal dock, he saw Roxy...stripping? s**t, no, she wasn't Riley, she had some morals. "Derrick, you b***h, way to leave me hanging!" Tyler called out before jogging up to him and Sloane. Glancing over at Roxy with a small smirk, she was still as hot as ever, despite the added baggage of being in love with a jerk. "Stripping are we now? And you didn't call me, come on, Roxy, I thought we were closer than that!"

We get along much better
Than you and your boyfriend
Well all I really wanna do is love you
A kind much closer than friends do
But I still can't say it after all we've been through
And all I really want from you is to feel me
As the feeling inside keeps building
And I will find a way to you if it kills me
But I never said a word
I guess I'm gonna miss my chance again

Within a few minutes the clean, quiet lakehouse where Kyle and Derrick had been playing Madden, had been taken over by booze, sex, and loud music. Kyle wouldn't expect anything less, considering it was a party thrown by Derrick. Being as awkward as ever, Kyle was among a group of people from the various sports teams that he was on, not really doing anything or trying to get noticed. Flying under the radar was his thing. Kyle did his normal thing at parties: talk to people and not drink, whatsoever. Maybe he did feel a little lame not being the guy with the lampshade on his head, dancing with his pants around his ankles, and hooking up with girls. Instead, Kyle took the high road. He had been completely clean for a little more than a year now, which was quite a feat, considering how much partying and drinking he did during his sophomore and freshman year. s**t, by the end of his freshman year he had built up an alcohol tolerance stronger than three frat guys. Until he realized that he didn't need to drink to have a good time. Unfortunately, he had realized that a little too late. Too late to save a life. And that fact literally haunted him every single day. He didn't have anyone to talk to about it and there was no way in hell that he would talk about his stupid mistake that resulted in someone dying at his AA meetings. Nope. He was the quiet, shy guy there too. What a boring life. What seemed to be a calm and drama-free party (was that even possible in Concord?) had turned out to be just the opposite.

The proverbial crap had just hit the proverbial fan. Whoa. Intense.

Kyle didn't take much notice to anything happening, content to be in his own world listening to people talk, until Roary had started to confess her feelings (very drunkenly) in front of everyone while she was with John. That certainly was not going to sit well with the back-up quarterback. Watching Roary and Tyler's exchange with mild interest, he had expected them to get together sooner or later. They were always ******** each other or flirting (well that was more one-sided), it was kind of ridiculous to say the least. Who was Kyle to judge, though? He knew next to nothing about relationships or the gossip that circled around. Kyle preferred not to get into that area. The gossip around here was pretty ridiculous. Park yourself in the right place and you could hear some of the most outrageous things, sometimes so messed up that you wished you could un-hear it. And right now, the sudden explosion of chaos would result in a massive amount of gossip, whether they told the true story or not. It really was kind of sad. Kyle was just thankful that he hadn't been a part of it. He could barely handle the attention he got for being a varsity starting athlete in three sports! Thank God he wasn't in a relationship with anyone, he wouldn't be able to deal with everything that people said about him.

Tonight wasn't about him. Three people had all just gotten hurt in some way, shape, or form. And they were just going about it as if it meant nothing. Kyle sort of admired how they could all hide their feelings so well and how comfortable they were with airing their dirty laundry out in front of everyone. Taking a sip from his water bottle, Kyle was about to turn around and go about his own business by talking to a few friends about sports and girls, but he caught a glimpse of Roary looking distraught and out of it. Kyle was definitely not close to the girl, but he could tell that she was hurting. Normally she would just laugh off all the harsh insults and go on with her life like nothing had happened, but now she seemed so vulnerable. Despite Kyle being a nice guy, he was terrified to go talk to Roary, what if she hated him as much as John did? And wanted to kill him in some creative way? She would probably think he was some weird freak that stalked her or something. Besides she seemed like a strong girl that could get over this. He hoped. Looking at her one last time, out of guilt since he could've helped someone but didn't, in all her broken and dejected glory, the thing that really made Kyle want to go over was that one stray tear that fell from her eye. The tears not were just an act of lacrimation to keep the eye moist nor were they tears of joy. Frowning at the sight of her crying, he couldn't let someone that was hurting go through it alone.

Grow a pair and go over there. I'm sure she won't try to destroy you socially, or physically for that matter. She's not exactly in the position to decline some help. Taking a deep breath, Kyle walked over to Roary, prior to this he was fairly certain he hadn't ever said anything to her. Ever. She was so intimidating. Even when after the public humiliation Kyle felt like she could easily destroy him. Hopefully his act of kindness wouldn't result in public humiliation for Kyle. "You look like you could use a friend." Offering her a small smile and wiping away the tears from her eyes. He hesitantly took her hand and squeezed it lightly, trying to provide some type of support for her. Actions speak louder than words, right? "Let's get out of here." Great, here comes the rumors of Kyle hooking with Roary, he was just trying to be a nice guy. Of course that was expected, but he thought people would know by now that while Kyle would try to almost everything to make someone feel about, he wouldn't just have a random hook-up.

Walking with her to a more secluded area of the house, he was pretty sure that she wouldn't want to deal with all the drama right at that instant. That wasn't something that you could just bounce back from, even if you did have basically the entire school wrapped around your finger and most of the male populace begging to ******** you. "So, uh, d-do you want to, uh, talk about w-what happened? I won't tell anyone, I promise." Kyle was a man of his word, if he said he wouldn't tell anyone, then he sure as hell wouldn't. After all, he was pretty good at keeping secrets. "Sorry, one second. I just need to send a couple texts, then I'm all yours." Checking his phone one more time before giving Roary his full attention, he had a text from Cory, his bffl (till death do them apart), and a random number. A rare genuine smile appeared on his face when he found out that Cory was actually going, he hadn't seen her in what felt like forever. Texting could only do so much, he was more of a face-to-face person, and he sure as hell missed his best bud.

haha whatever you know you love me
so that does mean your coming (jeez i'm full of sexual innuendo's today xD)?
                                    can't wait to see you
i might be a little hard to find
                                    kinda doing some damage control
so text me when you get here

Now for the next text. Kyle's eyes scanned his phone and once he saw Anthony's name his mouth went dry staring at his phone with large dilated pupils in disbelief. He hadn't told anyone about what happened. How did this "i know" person find out? Who was this person? Someone was out to get Kyle. Feeling his pulse sky rocket and the color drained from his face. s**t, this wasn't good. It wasn't good at all. Kyle was ******** petrified, he had froze for a few seconds and with the look of pure shock on his face. Now he wanted a drink. Something strong to take the edge off. And make him feel like he was on the field playing some football, where he didn't have to worry about this crap. There wasn't a day that went by without him thinking about the car accident. And it was all his fault. He was a ******** murderer, that s**t doesn't come off your conscience easily. Now it was all coming back to haunt him. He should've seen this coming. Jesus, Kyle. Breathe for ******** sake. Despite his shaky hands and clammy palms, Kyle (barely) managed to reply back to this fiend.

                                    who are you?
and what exactly do you know?

Shoving the phone in his pocket, while looking at Roary, trying to keep a calm expression on his face. Maybe she was this person. And this was all just some twisted ploy to get Kyle to talk to her and make them comfortable around each other and then BAM! When he least expected it she would spill it to the entire school. What was her motive in all of this? Why would she do this? s**t, Kyle, you're getting ahead of yourself. You're not completely sure that this person is Roary. It could be anyone. it could be Derrick, Tyler, John, even Cory! ********. Goddamn it. Why do I have to such a ******** screw up? I can't do anything right. Just when I think I'm getting used to this place, this ******** happens. They're all going to find out. And when they do, everyone's going to hate me. I'll end up alone. And miserable. Everyone's going to abandon me.

That's some real optimistic thinking there, Kyle, keep up the good work.

Roary had finally said all that she had wanted to say to Tyler. Despite the fact that she was slightly drunk and upset, she had still managed to get everything all out and on the table. She swallowed another lump that had formed in her throat and looked him over, trying to pick out his response. Though, not exactly everything went as she had planned. Her jaw dropped as she listened to him suddenly begin insulting her…like he used too. Of course, it had always hurt when he had done it before, but she had always been sober then and she had been able to laugh it off. Though, now that she had a couple of drinks in her system and she was more emotional, she was pretty much feeling the stronger affects of the words. When he hit her with the insults about her “work”, that was pretty much the icing on the cake. She covered her face with her hands and didn’t even look back at him.

“Why…would you say that?” she said in a muffled tone.

Then, if that wasn’t enough, she felt a small tap on her shoulder. She shook her head, shaking her hair out of her eyes and turned around to see John. Oh s**t…oh s**t. He had heard everything she had said. Of course, Roary was going to break up with him eventually, but this hadn’t been the way she had wanted to do it. Instead, he had heard everything in the worst way for a person to hear something… something meant to have been said behind their backs. She watched as he told her it was over. When had her jaw dropped? She wasn’t quite sure, but she felt it as soon as he walked away and asked Ella to dance. She closed her mouth and clenched her fist. Well…that was one way to do it. As she watched him, she couldn’t help but shake her head in dismay, watching him move on so quickly to a different girl. She knew he had been hollow…she knew it. He hadn’t even given her a second look when he walked by to go dance with that…girl. Roary tore her eyes away from John, not too worried about that at the current time. Instead, she turned back to Tyler and listened as he told her that she didn’t know what she was saying. By this point, she could feel tears. Though, with all of her might, she refused to ******** cry.

“I DO know what I’m saying! Don’t you dare tell me I don’t… Did you not just see that?!” she asked, gesturing to John.

“Do you even think he took a second glance back at me?! No! Why can't you just see...how I feel?”

She looked away from him, then back again as he told her to go save his relationship. Why would he say that?! Next of all, what was with him talking about the amount of feelings he had for her. Get rid of them easily?! Now Roary wasn’t as smart as the A+ students, but she knew anyone, no matter who they were, once they had developed feelings, it was hard as hell to get rid of them. Why did she care so much if he just kept calling her names and making fun of her in public?! It was because she knew he didn’t mean it! Why did she try her best to make him feel better?! Because he looked like he NEEDED someone…She was attracted to him…she had feelings for him. They weren’t ******** going away! Why wouldn’t they just go away so she would leave him alone?! Roary knew why…because they were there for a reason. FML.

She sniffled and leaned against the wall, watching Tyler turn his back on her and walk away. She blinked a couple of times, trying to make whatever moisture was forming in her eyes go away. She didn’t want this. She didn’t want to cry and cause a whole bunch of drama for everyone to see. Though, it seemed like it was already getting that way. Roary shook her head and wiped away one small tear. Screw this. She was supposed to be the toughest girl in school. She was sure that she could walk away from this easily…She was sure that-Why the hell was Kyle walking over to her?! How much had he seen? She tried to back away from him, but bumped into the wall and continued to look at him, shocked.

“What are you-?!” she protested, but was soon cut off by something that really surprised her.

Roary blinked a couple of times, unused to this type of affection. He was wiping away whatever tears had been under her eyes. She looked at him and sniffled once. Then, when he grabbed her hand, she looked down at it, even more shocked. Of course, she knew Kyle wasn’t the type to make a move on a girl so fast. Then again, maybe he had grown some balls and had attempted to make a move. She was about to protest, simply because she was starting to grow out of her slightly drunken state, until she found him whisking her away to another part of the house. She saw a couple of people see, but she could really careless by this point. As he led her to sit down, she still was unsure of his intentions. Though, something about this felt…laid back. She looked at him and asked her if she would like to talk. Wow…no one had asked…REALLY asked that question in quite a long time to her. She felt like she would start crying again, but there was some sort of relief now, something that made her feel like she could really talk. Roary took a small breath, then looked at Kyle. After he finished sending the messages…she started. She told him everything: how she felt about Tyler, how she felt about John and the way he manipulated and lied…everything.

“I mean…I can just tell he lies. Kyle, he doesn’t even care about me. I don’t really understand how I can tell, but it’s just the way he has always spoken to me. I can always tell…that he’s faking. If he isn’t then he is one hell of an actor, and that’s just as bad…”

Roary wiped her eyes and looked at him again.

“Tyler…I don’t know anymore. He has insulted me soooo much since I have started liking him and since Kat left. He called me a slut…and apparently he and Derrick like my ‘work.’ Kyle, I’ve tried so hard to make him happy and make him feel better. I like him very much and I just…I just don’t know why I can’t stop. Maybe I just need to try my hardest, but something just tells me that I’m not going to be able to get over. And then, he just walked away…He walked away after what I said, telling me I should rekindle my relationship with John! I know he knows how I feel about him and that I don’t want to get back with John…that I want to be with him instead…”

She stopped suddenly, and looked at him. Roary really looked at him and shook her head.

“I’m sorry…I know this really must sound stupid. And I know I’ve never really been the type to talk about my feelings to random people.”

Roary rubbed under her eyes, ridding herself of any loose make up and keeping the make up that was still in perfect form around her eyes in good shape. She then let out a heavy sigh and looked him over. He seemed like he was having some troubles of his own, but they didn’t seem to be bothering him TOO much. Otherwise, his face would have been much easier to read. As she sat there, she went quiet for a moment, thinking to herself and breathing normally now. Then, she spoke again.

“Kyle…you really are an amazing person…” she murmured.

“I kinda figure I’m not really the person to come out and say something like that. Hell, by your expression before, you’d think you were scared of me. Then again, I wouldn’t doubt it, and I’m sorry about that. You are so easy to talk to…and I like it. Thank you for…helping me.”

She let out a small laugh and smiled at him. Despite her down mood and her continuous thoughts of Tyler (even now), Kyle had come to her rescue to see if she was okay. He had never done it before, and that was what had intrigued her the most, had made her feel as though she could easily talk to him.

The search for Derrick quickly ended. The female smiled at Roxy handing over a twenty dollar bill. She had been joking but apparently Roxy thought she was serious. The female placed the money in her clutch before looking at the older female. Hearing Tyler address her she looked at him. Quickly taking in all his features she nodded. "Yeah. It's Sloane." The young girl could feel her heart sink. Of course he didn't know who she was. Why would he remember little ol' Sloane? She was a freshman and he was a senior. Running her hand through her hair she bit down on her lip. It was a habit of hers that tended to come out when she was nervous or uncomfortable. Nervous? Maybe. Uncomfortable. Sorta. Maybe it was a combination of the two. Suddenly Roary had come over and Sloane looked to Roxy. Something didn't seem right. There was definitely tension in the air. It was so thick it could be sliced with a butter knife. A couple of days ago the two had hung out and there seem to be no tension. What was the problem now? Thinking for a second she recalled how the girls had acted together. Maybe they had put their mini difference aside for Sloane that day or maybe they got into a little spat after they had gone home. She shrugged the thought away but kept a mental note to ask Roxy. Maybe she could even help defuse the situation. The two shouldn't be fighting. They were best friends.

Roary began talking and Sloane stood there dumbstruck. Was she hearing right? Roary wanted to end things with John for Tyler. What was going on? First the best of friends weren't talking and now Roary wanted to end her relationship. Why would Roary want to end her relationship for Tyler? Especially for Tyler. This was the same boy that would insult her. Yes, looks went a long way but personality went farther.Something wasn't right. Yes, this was Concord but things didn't work like this. Everyone was suppose to be happy and have fun. No drama. Okay who the hell was Sloane kidding. She didn't expect everything to be peaches and cream but she certainly didn't expect affairs and backstabbing. Suddenly it hit her. Did Roxy like Tyler? Was that why the girls weren't exactly seeing eye to eye right now. "Again. Ask Roxy." She silently thought. Hearing Roary address she managed a small smile. "Hey. Thanks." Her voice was low as she looked down to the ground. Hearing another male voice her head shot up to see Derrick. For a second all the mini drama with Roary, Roxy, and Tyler flew threw the window.

His arm around her waist and the three began walking to the deck. Sloane was definitely smiling on the inside. They reached outside and the cool air hit her skin. It felt good and calming. Sh took the shot from Derrick. She smelled it and god did it smell awful but that didn't stop her from shooting it back. Damn! Did it burn? Of course it did. Sloane wasn't an avid drinker. She'd typically go for the light stuff. This was definitely not light. Hopefully it would take the edge off of things. 'Yeah." She said. The conversation back there was a bit too much for Sloane to handle and if Derrick hadn't come along she didn't know if she would have removed herself from it. She gave a slight shrug. 'It's been fine. Hanging out and just having fun. What about you? I'm sure you've been playing a lot of football." She said casually. Looking over to Roxy she chuckled. It wasn't that cold but the girl was shivering. "You sure about that Roxy?" The lake looked beautiful. "It's so serene out here." She said to no one in particular even thought Derrick was right next to her.

Tyler appeared outside. So she was guessing things hadn't gone over so well with Roary. She was kind of hoping that Roxy would go and talk to her. After all it looked like Roary had no one to lean on now. John was out of the picture. Skye wasn't here. Tyler had just rejected her and Roxy and here weren't on speaking terms. She let out a sigh. "I'll go check on her soon." All she needed to do was make sure Roary was okay. Looking to Derrick she spoke up once more. "You mind?" She asked eying the bottle. She held up the shot glass as he poured the liquor into it. She shot it back without hesitation. She looked at Roxy. "As much as I'd like to join you Roxy I'm not exactly dressed for the occasion. Sorry." She was in a lace top, shorts, and four hundred dollar shoes. She was not getting in the water. Placing the shot glass down head she placed a hand to her head. She could feel a headache coming on. A pain killer would do her some good but that would be a lethal combination. Drugs and alcohol. She sighed as she sat on the floor bringing her knees up. Taking her phone out her Christina Louboutin clutch she began sending a text.

                                  Hey Roary.
                                  Don't know the entire situation.
Just wanted to make sure you're okay.
                                  - Sloane.

Reading it over she pressed send. The text seem somewhat awkward which is why she was grateful as to why it wasn't a face to face thing. Placing the phone back in her clutch she yelled. "Damnit!" The frustration in her voice was evident. Her head was starting to pound. Looking up to Derrick she tilted her head and spoke up. "By any chance you wouldn't have cashews, bread, or crackers." She needed to stop the rate at which her body was absorbing the alcohol. Food would help her do that. She had no intention of being wasted or tipsy. Why? Her parents would lose it if their fifteen year old daughter came home wasted and secondly that just wasn't her. She had no idea why she was drinking the way she was. Maybe it was because she was around Derrick. Maybe she wanted to make an impression. She had no idea why but she needed to slow her roll. Getting up from her spot on the ground she dusted herself off. Tonight hadn't started off so good but Sloane felt it would turn itself around and end up pretty decent.

OhOhCee: Another long and craptastic post. This sucks!

Derrick began to pour himself another shot while he waited for Roxy and Sloane to tell him how their summers was going. He really wanted this summer to be the greatest one of his life. It was his last summer as a high school. His last summer before he got the serious responsibilities of having to manage both college school work and college football. His last summer before he had to begin thinking about a career. Basically, it was the last summer for all the seniors to just enjoy being teenagers. Derrick brought the shot glass of amber liquid to his lips and downed it quickly, the strong liquid slightly burning his throat as it went down. It was a sensation that someone who threw a party basically every week would simply get used to, which he had.

"I know, its sick right," Derrick said with a smirk as the girls commented on how beautiful the dock and the lake was at night. It was a rather long, old wooden dock that extended ten meters over the water’s surface. This allowed one to jump off the outer edge of the dock without having to worry about hitting your head on the bottom of the lake. However, even if this were to occur, it is doubtful that it would cause any serious damage. The lake behind Derrick’s house had a sandy bottom with few to no rocks plaguing it’s surface. That made the lake great for swimming and fooling around in the water. Due to the water’s clear nature, it provided an easy way to seduce women during both day and night. Speaking of seducing women, Derrick’s eyes traced to Roxy as she removed her shirt and walked to the edge of the water. A small smirk grew across his face, he hadn’t even said any lines yet and the girl was already taking her clothes off. His eyebrows raised when she commented that he would be a p***y to not get in the water with her. Chuckling slightly, Derrick shook his head in amusement. He knew how cold the water was at night and there was no way in hell he would be getting in it right now. Perhaps after a few more shots, when he would be too drunk to notice the cold.

Instead of jumping in the lake, which Derrick had assumed Roxy had done due to the sound of a minute splash, Derrick’s attention was drawn Sloane as she spoke up. The wide receiver nodded at her explanation of her summer and smiled slightly when she asked him about his. There wasn’t much to tell, since the summer had only just begun, but he would entertain the question. It was his party after all and Sloane was a freshman. It was his responsibility to make sure she felt comfortable. That and Derrick was always nice to pretty girls, regardless of what year they were in. "My summer is going great actually," Derrick said with a smile as he poured himself another shot of R&R. "I work at the town pool as a lifeguard. I’ve been taking MMA classes to stay and shape and actually win one of the daily wrestling matches that Chili and I always have. And theres the football too. As team captain, I’m the guy that organizes our workout sessions and team runs. Our coach is a lazy ******** and expects me to do everything." With the conclusion of the explanation of his summer, Derrick downed the shot he had poured just as he heard Chili come out of the house. He laughed slightly and assumed that he had once again shut down Roary. The teenager turned to his best friend as he made his way to the dock, rolling his eyes as he was bitched out for leaving him with Roary.

"Okay, next time I’ll drag you away from the hot girl that’s all over you," Derrick said with a hint of sarcasm in his voice. Of course he knew what Tyler had meant when he said that Derrick had left him hanging. He had been trying to stop sleeping with Roary behind John’s back for a while now. He was still depressed about Kat leaving him as well. Derrick had been trying to get Tyler to keep hooking up with Roary for two reasons: because John was a d**k and deserved it and he wanted Chili to get over Kat. For the past few weeks his friend had been the mayor of frown town and it wasn’t like him. As Tyler spoke to Roxy about her stripping, Derrick’s attention was drawn to Sloane as she asked for another shot. A smirk crossed his face and he nodded slightly before topping off her shot glass. He then proceeded to pour himself another shot before handing the bottle over to Chili. "Slug that," Derrick said, knowing full well that the ‘shot king’ wouldn’t need chase.

Seeing Sloane texting, to great difficulty, reminded the wide receiver that Jasey wasn’t here yet and that he should text her to tell her to hurry up. Pulling out his blackberry, he went through his multiple contacts before finding Jasey’s name. He highlighted it, before clicking the ‘create message’ indicator. Using the keyboard on the phone, Derrick quickly formulated a message to send to the girl. Something that Derrick had gotten very good at throughout the years was drunk texting, since he spent the majority of the weekends in an intoxicated state. Once the message was finished, he glanced it over for spelling errors before hitting the send key. He then raised his head and returned his attention to the people around him.

                                        Excuse me, Miss Wayland
Is there a reason you aren’t at my party yet?
You’re going to miss out on all the fun.
Get your sexy a** into the Yellow Submarine
And get to my lake house pronto.
                                        `Derrick

Sloane was the first voice that caught his attention, causing his head to turn in the brunette’s direction. It appeared that she had drank a little too much, evident by her asking him for a form of carbohydrate. The wide receiver smiled slightly, grabbing the R&R bottle from Chili and taking a swig before nodding. "Yeah for sure. Chili and I will go get some for you. You two girls just stay here and we’ll be back in a flash," Derrick said, before motioning Chili to follow him towards the kitchen. There was a reason he was getting Chili to come with him. He wanted to make sure that the guy was okay. That conversation had looked pretty heaving and Derrick had, in fact, simply left him hanging.

"You good dude," Derrick asked, glancing over at his friend as they entered the kitchen of his lake house. There were people everywhere, which Derrick expected for it was one of his parties. Glancing around, he smiled as one of the Hercules girls from before walked by and slipped her hand into his pocket, most probably giving him her phone number. Shaking his head of sleeping with this girl, Derrick reverted his attention back to Chili. He needed to make sure his friend was okay. Derrick wasn’t the Bonemiester anymore and thus, bro before hoes. "I mean, that conversation looked intense. Are you now another person on John Cunningham’s s**t list? I think we should form a club," the wide receiver joked as he grabbed a couple slices of bread from the cupboard before leading Chili towards the exit of the lake house once more. "I’m sorry for ditching you dude. I just want you to get over Kat so you’ll quit moping all the time. It’s killing my vibe." Derrick glanced back at Chili with a small smirk on his face as the exited the house, just so that he would know that the receiver was joking. The silhouette of the girls came into view as they made the quick walk towards the dock. This would give Chili enough time to fill Derrick in before they reached the girls.

"Here you are," Derrick said with a small smile, handing the bread over to Sloane before smirking in Roxy’s direction. "You realize there are sharks in that water." What he said had been a lie, he just wanted to mess with her.

Roxanne had surfaced from the group a little further out only to see Tyler standing there. She stopped abruptly and almost went under again, taking a mouthful of water. She spat it out, grimacing at the taste and started to inch forward. She had thought she had seen him coming down the hill to the dock, but of course there was no Roary in tow. She bit her lip and looked over at Sloane. She didn’t know what to do. She knew that John and Roary had broken up, but had they gotten back together again? Hearing Derrick’s comment about sharks she stuck her tongue out at him. She swam over to the edge of the lake and slowly climbed out. The small droplets of water that caressed her skin shimmered in the moonlight. She walked around, the grass sticking to her feet, then suddenly a burst of pain.

Gasping, she looked down at her foot, a patch of stickers had decided to find their way in front of her. Biting her lip, she hopped on one foot over towards the group on the dock. ”It must’ve slipped my mind.” she giggled as she sat on the edge of the dock, the rough wood scraping against the back of her thighs as she proceeded to take the stickers from her foot. She tossed them into the lake, watching them make ripples in the water. She looked over at Derrick and then at Sloane, ”Derrick be a doll and pour me another shot.” she said softly as she motioned towards the small shot glass that was perched on one of the boards. She had set it down after taking her first shot. Sighing, she reached up and took her hair from the ponytail.

She shook her hair out, the curls falling loose around her shoulders. She smelled like lake water, and she was cold and wet. But right now she didn’t care. Any minute now, Roary would be running down the hill, begging Tyler to take her back. Roxy knew that look that her friend had shot her. She had been on a mission. Roary knew what she wanted and even if Tyler did blow her off, it wouldn’t mean that she wouldn’t make his life hell, or even anyone who got in her way, their life a living hell. She sighed as she got up, running her hands through her hair, she let the water drip from her hair down to her arms, The water left small drops leaving traces of water on her dried skin. She sighed as she licked her lips, grimacing at the taste of lake water.

”Besides me stripping would probably be the last thing on your mind right now Chili.” she said as she looked out over the lake. That should’ve sent up a red flag. She was never for Tyler’s nickname, and only used it when she was being sarcastic, when she was poking fun at him, or when something was off. She took a deep breath, remembering they were not alone. She smiled at Sloane and picked up the clothes that were left on the dock. She let her jersey rest on the post as she pulled her shorts on, leaving the top button undone, she knew she was going to take a shower when she got back to the house anyways. She ran her fingers under her eyes to make sure no mascara was running. Nope, but it had all washed off, leaving only a few traces of eyeliner but that was all. No one really saw her without her make up on, not even her one night stands.

She stretched a little, liking how she got to swim a little. She shivered a little as she wiped the seat of her pants off, making sure that the dirt was off. Sighing, she smiled at her friends and then looked back out to the lake, waiting for her shot. The swim had let some of the alcohol go away, or so she thought. She took a step but felt a little sea sick. The pain in her foot was a dull ache now, but the stickers must’ve released some kind of poison in her foot. What were they called again? Goatheads? She shrugged inwardly as she shifted her weight onto the other foot. Looking over at Derrick, Sloane, and Tyler didn’t know what to think.

”Actually don’t worry about the shot, I need to head up to the house anyways. I need to sober up for the drive back home.” she said softly as she grabbed her jersey pulling it on over her head. She had overheard the conversation about bread and crackers or something. She turned and watched Derrick as he came back. She gave a small wink at Sloane and then nodded towards Tyler, and smiled at Derrick. ”See ya back at the house.” she said as she walked up the hill. Pulling out her phone, she quickly formulated a text to Sloane

                              To:Sloane
                              From: Roxy

Hey! Sorry I had to get out of there
                              Things were way too tense
You know the whole issue you with me and Roary
And after that s**t that went on up at the house who knows?!
But anyways, I will let you get some alone time with Derrick <3

Roxanne quickly pressed SEND and then opened up the screen to formulate another text

                              To: Tyler
                              From: Roxy

Hey if you really wanna talk come on up
We can go to that room with a small balcony

She pressed SEND again as she entered the house. She saw John over with Ella, poor girl didn’t know what she was in for. She sighed as she went over to the closet and grabbed her bag, found her shoes, and walked up the stairs. She saw the room was unoccupied, and quickly stepped in. She shut the door, but didn’t lock it. She quickly stripped out of her clothes, but knowing this house she didn’t want anyone to walk in on her. She slipped her clothes out, which were now wet, tossed her phone on the bed and then hung her clothes on the railing that was attached to the balcony.

She smiled as she fished a pair of worn out sweats that she wore all the time, then a black tank top that matched the pants and tossed them on the bed. She stepped into the small bathroom that was attached, making sure any other door was locked and turned the hot water on. Making sure it was getting warmed up, she went over to her bag, grabbed her towel, and some shampoo she got from Bath and Body Works. Stepping back into the shower, she soaked in the warmth of the water. She leaned back against the tiled walls. She lifted her head up and stared into space. John and Roary had always been together behind her back, and she never knew. That day she found she was so angry, and all she wanted to do was punch them in the face

Sighing, she turned back around, and let her arms prop her head up as she leaned, her forehead almost touching the smoothed edges. She sighed as she let the tears fall, maybe this party wasn’t the best idea. She thought she could face John and Roary, but John didn’t even take a single look at her. The only look she got from Roary was of disdain, and determination to draw Tyler’s attention away from her. S*** maybe that wasn’t a good thing either. He was her best friend, but when she heard Roary talk to him about feelings and the things they have done, she felt a twinge of jealousy. She let out a frustrated groan and felt the tears well up as they trailed down her skin, mingling with the water streaming down her body. She sighed as she shook her head and proceeded to wash the smell of lake off of her. The room and bathroom soon smelled like strawberries and shortly after the water stopped

Making sure the water was all the way off, she grabbed her towel shehad brought from home, and wrapped it about her body. She quickly towel dried her body, ignoring the water from her bikini leaving small tickles of water down her skin. She towel dried her hair, leaving it and letting the curls come back naturally. She quickly stripped down and pulled on a pair of boy shorts and her new miracle bra she got from Victoria Secret. She smirked at the brand name as she pulled on her tank top, and her sweats. Making sure her pants were tight enough she let her towel hang out to dry with her clothes. She Shoved her things off the bed, and laid down on it. She looked around the room, knowing it was probably a guest room, and settled into the pillows that surrounded her head. Closing her eyes, she let her hands wander around until she found her phone. Holding it against her chest, she waited for a text back

Ten minutes in. No Matt in sight.

Riley sighed in disappointment, dipping her head under the rushing water of the shower head. It was understandable why he was a no show. For one thing, the guy had no clue that she wanted him to chase her to the bathroom in the first place. Hell, even Riley didn't know she wanted him to run after her. It was probably for the best too considering all things. The girl needed time to think for herself. Figure out why the ******** she was acting like some psycho b***h in the first place. She had feelings for Derrick. She knew that much for sure. It had been hard to admit at first but it got tiring trying to deny it even to herself. But it wasn't something worth pursuing. People like Derrick and Riley just don't end up together. They were more well suited to be ******** buddies, or even friends with benefits. Not boyfriend / girlfriend. And she was cool with that at first. Riley knew what she was getting herself into. The occasional ********. She wasn't some fresh newbie to the game. If anything she was a pro at it. So why was she still trying to vie for his attention? Which brings us to Matt. With him, it had started out just another one-time thing; another person to try her hand at making Derrick jealous. But they just clicked. Soon, they were hanging out more and more ( hooking up more and more ) and he became the one to go to whenever she was feeling a little lonely. But next thing you know, she's acting like some psycho girlfriend pushing him away after sniffing some girl's perfume all over him. Like what the ********? Did that mean she liked him too? But who did she like more? Ugh, God. Feelings suck..

                                    "Oh come on?"

Riley jumped, wrapping her hands around her shoulders, as she heard his voice, startled. She had been so deep in thought that she hadn't noticed the door then had swung open. A tall figure was standing in front of the bathroom sink, looking straight at her through the translucent curtains of the shower. "Matt?" she whispered squinting her eyes at the figure. Indeed it was. Out of the four bathrooms that he could've gone to, he managed stumbling into the one where she had been. "You left me to take a shower by yourself? I'm insulted." A slight smile approached her face, shaking her head slightly.

She continued on with her shower, playing it off like he wasn't just standing there. "Well, what are you gonna--" Riley was caught off guard when he pulled the shower curtain open, revealing himself. He stepped inside, pulling her towards him with one hand and caught her in a deep passionate kiss that made her forget why she was even mad at him in the first place. "So the offer still stands?" He said, breaking off from their kiss. Riley just smiled, wrapping her arms around him as he pulled her face in for another kiss. Hmm, maybe she did like him more than she should've. Guess, she got her answer to both her questions. I take that back..

                                    "Nice you two.."

"Derrick?" Riley's arms fell from where they were wrapped around Matt's neck, as she looked at the blurred image of Derrick through the curtain. He was standing in the doorway of the bathroom. It wasn't a clear picture but she could make out his emotionless face as he looked at the pair and her heart sank. "It obviously doesn’t take much to get either of you in bed. Noted." He stormed off, slamming the door behind him. The bathroom was silent then for a good minute or two with the exception of the running shower and the faint music playing in the main room. Riley sighed, leaning back against the shower wall.

What the hell did just happen exactly? Riley played it back in her head again and again. Still, she couldn't wrap her head around it. Seeing Derrick's face like that, it wasn't anything like she had seen him before. Ever. Great. Now you decide to pay attention to me? Riley had done it. She had finally succeeded in making him jealous and getting him to react. So why did it make her feel so horrible? "I have to go after him.."

She stepped out of the shower, quickly drying herself off with her towel and putting on her borrowed clothes from Ella. She couldn't dare to look back at Matt. It would've just made her feel like more of a horrible person that she already felt like. But she could feel his eyes set on her. She just imagined him looking at her longingly, calling her back to him. There was some part of her that really did just want to say 'screw Derrick' and stay with him. But she couldn't do it. There was just a bigger part of her that needed for her to run after Derrick. Must there be anymore proof that I need to prove that feelings are indeed a b***h? I mean really? The girl walked towards the door and opened it. "I'm sorry Matt. Raincheck?" True, it made her seem like a b***h. But she'd rather him think she was a b***h than an emotional time bomb.

Riley made her way back down to the party, looking for Derrick. It seemed like a lot went on during her shower. The room was abuzz about some Roary / John drama. But she could care less about her brother's problems right now. The compassionate little sister deal was going to have to wait til later. There was Derrick, making his way out the kitchen. Along with Tyler and a couple of slices of bread, he was headed out the back. Probably out to the back dock or something. She wasn't far behind.

"Derrick," she called, as soon as she found herself outside, but he didn't hear her. "Derrick!" she called louder. What the ********] She stopped in her tracks once she saw who was at the dock with the two guys. "Sloane? Roxy?"

It was unbelievable to her. He was the one acting like a little b***h when he saw her with Matt, storming off like he was actually affected by it. Like he actually cared about her and was hurt by it. But nope. Obviously he didn't care at all seeing as how he was having a little get together at the dock. "[********]" Thus the emotional time bomb explodes...

She made her way down toward the dock, a red target sign painted on the dickhead. Derrick continued on with his little convo, his back turned on the bitching bull that was charging towards him. "You realize there are sharks in that water." "Well then I hope you're d**k gets bitten off!" With all the strength she could muster, the fiesty blonde pushed him off the dock. She then snatched the bottle of R&R, chucking it toward the lake before heading back to the house. "He's all yours freshman," she said towards Sloane as she walked away.

Riley found herself back inside the cramped living room, making her way through to Ella who was with some guy. Not really caring she was c**k blocking or what not, she got in between them, taking Ella a step away from the guy. "I'm through with sex. I'm done. No more. Feelings start getting involved and... ugh! I'm just through with it!" She snatched a cup of beer from a passerby and drank it down, chucking the empty cup behind her afterward. It was at that exact instant she realized who the guy Ella was with; her brother. It kind of shocked her for a split second, realizing what she had just said in front of him. Ugh, but whatever. There was no use in trying to deny anything she just blurted out. And frankly, she had no energy to lie to him at this point. She turned around to face him. "You happy? You finally got the celibate little sister you thought you always had."

( ooc ) this ending sucked. sorry for the wait. && few minor edits

                                              i make being bad
                                              look so good

It was summer time and that meant party, party, party, oh did I mention party. Ella was in the partying mood, and since she was staying at Derrick’s new lake house it was the perfect plan to let her animal out. Ella was currently visiting her cousin Derrick during the summer. She finally talked her mother into letting her stay (after she threatened to beat every blond chick she saw). Ella finally got the okay and she was in Cougar County ready to party it up. Ella was currently at the house with Tyler, Kyle, and Riley, who was there for what reason she didn’t know. She kind of had an idea, but she didn’t want to say, better yet she didn’t care. Ella was a person that didn’t like to get into people business, but then again she did, because she loves to cause drama. And, that’s what she was going to do at this party. Ella needed to get ready for the party, but not after playing Chills in a game of beer pong – where she lost, but she didn’t loose that bad. Ella was a Boone, so she could hold her liquor; she built a very strong tolerance to alcohol. And, she was playing with Chills who she didn’t mind playing other games with, but that was a different story. Ella looked up to see what time it was, it was time for her to get fresh and clean for this party, so Ella ran into the bathroom and got ready.

THE PARTY DON’T START TILL I WLK THROUGH THE DOOR

After an hour of getting ready Ella walked downstairs and saw all the people that were there. The music was pumping and Ella was ready to party, hopefully the police won’t crash the party, because she was getting ready to have fun. Ella went straight to the kitchen and picked up a red cup full of beer and took a sip. This was going to be a good night. Ella turned around as Riley was right next to her talking about Sloane coming. Oh, did Ella hate Sloane, Skye, Roary, and Roxy, just for the simple fact they were preppy cheerleaders, and Ella hated cheerleaders. She was one, only because her mother made her one, and after she got from under her mother thumb she dropped cheerleading and started to beat cheerleaders. Ella was going to say something but Riley was gone with Matt. So, Ella went back to dancing by herself until she heard a voice talking to her. Looking up she saw this guy (John), and he was asking did she want to dance.

Umm, this guy sure did look good. Ella wouldn’t mind having fun with him. Moving her hair out her face Ella smiled. “Sure, I won’t mind just a dance, and maybe a little bit more,” the young girl spoke. She grabbed John hand and got ready to lead him to the dance floor but was cut off by Riley. Great timing – Ella looked at Riley who was going off in a tangent about sex and whatnot. Ella just looked and then she was shocked when Riley turned around and spoke to the person. Oh, this was John and did John look good. Wait, he thought Riley was a virgin or something? Ella was confused, but Riley mention she had a brother, but she never saw John in person until now, and boy did he look good. “Well, I’m going to let you two talk. John lets take a rain check on that dance, and Riley find me later.” Ella told the both of them, as she walked up the stairs into the bathroom. She opened the door and saw a Matt in the shower with the shower curtain opened. “Nice to see you Matt, hopefully you’re taking cold shower,” she giggle, but still was looking at Matt equipment. This was something funny, because Ella was thinking impure thoughts.
Ella went walked up to the sink and started to wash her hands, as she looked back up at Matt. “Do you need help with your little problem?” Yes, she was being a slut, and yes she knew it was wrong because Riley was messing with Matt too, but she couldn’t help herself. There was a naked guy in the bathroom, hello and he was hot, so why not? A smirk came upon Ella face, as she walked over to Matt and placed a juicy kiss on his lips. She broke the kiss to see what Matt was going to do. If he was a “regular” guy he would pull Ella in the shower with him and have his way with her. Ella looked at Matt just smiled, he probably was thinking how could he do this with Derrick little cousin, since they were such friends. “Don’t worry about Derrick, this be our little secret.” Ella spoke, as she closed the bathroom door and took off her clothes, and jumped in the shower with Matt. Yea, Ella was coming off as a slut, but she wasn’t – she just loved sex like her cousin does. She’s a Boone, and Boone’s love sex.

                                        LOVEGAME

It was good, real good. Ella looked at Matt and gave him a kiss. “Thanks for the fun.” She told him, as she stepped out the shower and dried herself off. Ella placed back of her clothes, and walked into her room to dry her hair. After drying her hair, Ella walked downstairs just to Skye looking at her. “Can I help you b***h?” Ella asked, as she cocked her head to the side. “b***h, I will break your neck, so you better slow your roll down.” Skye snapped back at Ella. Ella laughed, because she knew it was going to be a fight, and she was going to be the first to start it. But, she decided not too. Ella just shook her head and walked away, and that’s when she saw John and she grabbed his hand and led him to the dance floor and started to dance on him. Her hips moving to the beat, and then she started to grind on him. “So, what happened to you and Roary? I don’t want your girlfriend to come after me.” Ella said, as she laughed at the end of her sentenced, because she knew she would take Roary on anytime.

                                        [o][o][c] - sorry for the god-mode, and suck-a** post, long a** wait, & EDIT!

I'm a man of the night, a real ladies delight
See my figure was chiseled from stone
One more for the gal then I'll escort her home
Come last call, I'm never alone
I've a house on the hill with a red water bed
That puts Hugh Heffnor's mansion to shame
With girls by the pool and Italian sports cars
I'm just here in this dump for the game

                                        "Nice you two,"

Goddamn it, Derrick. Now isn't the time for you psycho, crazy, possessive streak to start kicking. ******** dicktwit. s**t, he's still watching. Homo perve ********. Why won't you just get the ******** out and go ******** Jasey? To say that Matt was angry would be a vicious understatement. He was livid. Derrick was the cause of everyone's sadness and frustration in the world. Jerk. What kind of douche walks in on someone accidently, then stays to watch the show? A perverted douche. Letting out a small groan of frustration when Derrick went on about them being easy to get in bed, or something stupid that made him sound like wannabe angsty teenager trying to be deep. Matt really just wanted to get laid. And the fact that Derrick and Riley had something between them was just a plus because he could make himself happy and John happy (the only actual friend he had). He could accept that his feelings or whatever he had for Riley wasn't mutual and that he was just another guy to make Boone jealous. Really, he could. Kind of. But now Matt was just plain pissed off that Derrick was ruining his chance of getting laid by a hot girl.

Fortunately (or maybe unfortunately, Matt didn't really know), Derrick stormed out of the room in all his pissy, bitchy glory. He was such a chick. Rolling his eyes, Matt was actually fine with resuming their little make out session, he viewed it as them being briefly interrupted, but it quite apparent that Riley didn't feel the same way. Was she bailing on him for Derrick? She was. He couldn't believe what he heard. "I beg your pardon?" Needless to say Matt was shocked when Riley said she needed to go after Derrick. Prior to that night no girl had ever walked out on Matt Forsythe. But now the same girl had walked out on him, not once, but twice. Twice. That was insulting. Most of the emotional pain was from that fact that she ditched him, that hit his ego. Real hard. Then there was that little portion of pain from the fact that he had lost. Derrick had won, Matt lost. He felt like an idiot for even liking the school slut in the first place, but now he was just humiliated. Guess it was a good way for Riley to never ever have to talk to him again.

"Raincheck." Matt repeated to himself quietly, trying to wrap his head around all of this chaos. "Raincheck? Rain ******** check? Really? Wow. My life really does suck." Now he was cold, wet (and not in the good way), and alone. "Great. Just ******** great," abruptly grabbing a bar of soap and throwing it against the shower wall out of anger. "Unbelievable." Matt muttered under his breath before getting out of the shower. This was definitely not the way he had expected his night to be. It actually involved him sealing the deal, not just making out with Riley. I hate Derrick. ******** cockblocking douche s**t. If Matt couldn't get what he wanted, then he would go after the girl that he was a hundred percent sure that Derrick liked. John had supplied Matt with the information about Derrick and Jasey having a thing for each other, with John as his partner, he could get Kyle to go after her instead of being a little b***h. But for now, he had to take it upon himself to ******** with Derrick. Taking out his phone, which thankfully still worked, what would he do without texting, and sent Jasey a message.

                                        hey jasey
i haven't seen you around yet
i was wondering if we could hang out
i'm not having the best night :[
and you always manage to make me feel better somehow
but if your busy thats cool too

No, it really wouldn't be "cool" with Matt if Jasey was too busy to hang out with Matt. Really, he was just setting himself for more rejection. He almost instantly regretted texting Jasey. Now he would lose to Derrick twice in one night. She would probably be busy galavanting with the wide receiver, much to Matt's dismay. Sure, he had liked her at one point, but she always seemed to into Derrick and was the person that was there for him when he was going through a "tough time" in his life. The guy just looked for every excuse to b***h about his life and talk about how difficult it was to gain sympathy from people. He was just as manipulative as John and more of an a*****e, but he wouldn't admit it. At least John knew that he wasn't exactly the nicest guy, Derrick was just lying to the world and himself. s**t, Matt could accept the fact that he was a d**k. Why couldn't Derrick? Matt's dislike for the wide out was growing more and more with each passing second. Now he could fully commit to his and John's plan in making Derrick miserable. Before he was just doing it so that the beauty b***h and the beast would break up, but now he would do just about anything to make Derrick's life a living hell. Jerk. Speaking of jerks, Matt felt his phone vibrate and saw a text of Windbag.

                                        k

Matt knew how irritated Theo got when Matt replied with one word (or, you know, one letter) answers. Truthfully, Matt wasn't that psyched about Theo hanging out with him. He knew that he wouldn't spend any waking moment away from Cory. And he never did anything fun anymore. Mary Jane used to be his go to girl, but now it was Cory. Relationships ruined everything. Theo probably wouldn't even drink at the party, let alone do anything harder. He would be one of tools that tried to stay sober and leave the party after ten minutes. Matt honestly did not like his version of Theo. He missed his friend. But he had to accept that Reaper was long gone, at least as long as Cory was his girlfriend.

Oh well. Time to drink his pain and frustration away. But before he did that, he would actually take a shower. It might provide him with some clarity about the entire situation and how to handle it well instead of allowing his emotions to guide him. Suddenly, someone barged in, it was Ella. "Ha ha. Real funny." Matt replied to her comment about the cold shower, his tone dripping with sarcasm. "Unless you're going to ******** me, I suggest you leave." Soon enough, Ella's lips were pressed against his. He was slightly taken aback at the gesture, mainly because he didn't think anything would go right that night, but his luck was definitely turning around. Smirking at her comment about Derrick the douche bag. "No, it's fine. I don't really like secrets anyway." That was his subtle way of telling her that he would be bragging about banging Derrick's cousin. Just to make the guy feel bad about himself. He probably wouldn't, but might as well give it a shot, it couldn't hurt, right?

                                        LUCK BE A LADY TONIGHT

If this were under any other circumstances, Matt would have had a smirk of satisfaction on his face and not thought twice about the girl he had ******** this really wasn't under a normal circumstance. He couldn't get Riley out of his head and that was a bad thing. Sure, Ella was real good in bed, but she wasn't Riley and that brought the intensity down a few notches. Still, he was thankful for what he got, now wasn't the time to be greedy, he had gotten laid. That was what he wanted. At least one thing worked out the way he wanted to. Even if he if his best friend wasn't there and the girl he kinda liked had ditched him in the middle of a steamy make out session, twice, for another guy. He ******** a hot chick, that's all that mattered. "Mhmm, anytime, babe." Matt replied back while putting on his now basically dried clothes and exiting the bathroom. Glancing over at Ella, who was now chatting up and John and dancing with him. Why did he attract sluts? First Skye, then Riley, and Ella. At least he didn't have feelings for Ella, which eased his mind a little. He could sleep with random women without magically obtaining feelings and that fact made him feel a little better. s**t, he was more ******** up than he thought. Grabbing a bottle of Grey Goose, Matt found a place on the couch next to a couple making out and took a swig from the bottle of vodka. Watching people partying up, he wasn't really in the mood to do anything super fun at the moment. Hopefully a couple drinks would loosen him up and get Riley out of his head. It was getting a little too ridiculous for his liking.

We were the BEAUTIFUL, DIRTY, RICH couple,
& then I showed him my POKER FACE during our LOVEGAME
& now I`m his PAPARAZZI

                                          Waited, waited, waited, and waited.

Boy did Skye wait for Matt to bring her drink back, but he didn’t. Did Matt really stand her up? Did he really just leave her? Skye wasn’t flipping at the fact that Matt was gone, it was the fact that he offered her a drink, she said yes, and now she saw him going upstairs with Riley. So, he really was going to ditch her, so he could get a nut off? Skye just shook her head and walked into the kitchen and got her own drink. She came to have fun and not worry about Matt, even though she still had feelings for him, she was going to let him do his own thing. Once she got into the kitchen she grabbed a bottle of Cîroc and started to drink. Hopefully this party would loosen her up, so she could party. Skye started to groove as she went out on the dance floor and started to dance. Yea, she was feeling the beat, and then some random guy came up behind her and she started to dance. While Skye was dancing she saw in the corner of her eye Roary, John, and Tyler talking. She didn’t know what was going on, but she hoped that John was breaking up with Roary.

Yes, Skye still had beef with Roary. She couldn’t stand that girl, and what made it worst that Roxy and Roary were cool. So, when Roxy hanged with Skye, most likely Roary was there and it didn’t help that Roary was dating Roxy ex-boyfriend John, who Skye also hated. Skye saw John walked off and talk to Ella (b***h) and Roary walking off looking sad, so that must of meant John broke up with her, yes! Skye was happy and then she turned her attention back on the guy she was dancing with. After the song went off Skye went and posted herself on the wall. She wondered where Roxy and Sloane was, she didn’t see them. Well, she caught a glimpse of them, but she didn’t have time to speak. Scanning the room her eyes landed on Ella. Ella was a girl she knew of, Derrick little cousin and that was it. Skye really didn’t care much of her, because she knew Ella would be problems and a problem that she would have to solve, very soon. Did she do that? Ella tried to get smart, but Skye broke into her and she walked off. Skye was getting bored, so she pulled out her phone and texted Henry.

                                            come to the party
& party it up with me, now!

She pressed the SEND button and just stood on the wall and looked. That’s when she her name. Skye turned around and saw a couple of girl and one guy talking about her. She didn’t know why, but she was sure going to find out. Skye eavesdropped on the conversation, and Skye was in totally shock in what she heard. They were calling her a slut, and she was easy and all this other s**t. Now, Skye being Skye was getting ready to walk over and asked them a couple of questions herself, but she heard a name, and the name cut her deep, Matt. Matt was downgrading her name towards people. Was he serious? Matt was going to call her a slut and say she was easy! Oh, Skye could feel her blood pressure shot through the roof. She was livid, and she was going to confront Matt about this NOW! Skye pulled out her phone and quickly texted Roxy and Sloane.

                                            I’m going to kill him!!
matt is going to go six feet under tonight

Skye pocket her phone and grabbed herself a cup of beer. Skye walked around looking for Matt and then she found him on the couch. She nicely walked up to him and smiled. “Thanks for my drink Matt.” She said to him, as she poured the cup of beer on top of his head, following the beer bath Skye drew back and punched Matt in the face. She added some power and she didn’t care where she hit him, or if she broke something. “A ******** slut? You’re going to call me a ******** slut? Just because I slept with you a** like five minutes after dancing with you. In case your a** forgot I was under the influence. Ha, you got some ******** nerve calling me a slut, when your a** ******** random bitches and don’t even know their names. I have sex in beds – not in dressing rooms, and I’ve only slept with THREE people in my lifetime, so be careful who you call a SLUT b*****d!” The black hair girl told Matt. She didn’t care that she was making a scene, Matt was disgracing her name and she needed to get things straight, before she did commit murder. Skye flipped her hair and looked at Matt. He had some nerve; he really had some nerve to call her a slut. Matt was a bigger slut then she was, and Skye was beyond livid at this point.

I can’t believe you called me a slut. But, I’m not going to trip, because I’m not the one bitching because my “best friend” got a girlfriend and his spending time with her. Get over yourself Matt! That APE has a girlfriend, so duh he’s going to spend time with her, damn you act like you’re his girlfriend and he’s suppose to be ******** you. So, you know what Matt ******** YOU, YOU LOW LIFE PIECE OF s**t!” Skye spat and Matt, as she turned around and walked outside, she needed to cool her nerves. Matt had piss her off so badly, yea she probably regret what she just did in the morning, but at this point no. Matt tried to portray her as something she was not. She was NOT a slut and she didn’t believe in the double standard s**t either. Guys are quick to call a girl a slut, but yet they do the same thing a girls does and get praised for it, but Skye wasn’t haven’t it, and she wasn’t going to let Matt dog her name. Boy did Skye wish she was a smoker, but alcohol would be the next best thing. Skye picked up a bottle of Grey Goose and started to drink, she needed this in her life.

Late nights, won't do me justice
Cause when I drink
I just get so damn depressed,
And its not like, I ain't trying to get over you.
It's just hard to look at all the seasons, pass me over too
Seems like I'm never coming home
Seems like I'm always on my own
All the stars and boulevards ain't close enough for you

Tyler rolled his eyes at Derrick and his comment about dragging him away from a hot girl. He couldn't say anything back. It was expected of him to help Derrick ruin John's life, but he really just wanted some type of physical comfort when Kat was gone. Tyler couldn't help but feel a little resentment towards Kat, she had really done a number on him. While there were times that he had been in pure bliss when he was with her, the sadness and depression had outweighed all the great times. It really wasn't easy getting over your first long-term relationship, as proven by the broody tight end. "Yeah, I guess you're right." Tyler mumbled to Derrick, although he knew sleeping with Roary would have been wrong. He didn't want her, but she wanted him, it wasn't morally upright to play with her feelings like that just so Tyler could feel better and Derrick could get some type of revenge on John. "Don't need to tell me twice," Tyler commented with a smirk before taking the bottle of R&R and taking a long swig from it, then handing it back to the wide receiver. Raising his eyebrows at Sloane's little outburst, before she quickly asked for a form of a carbohydrate. Aww, freshmen are so cute. Quickly following behind Derrick to go and get some bread.

"I'm fine, don't worry about me." Tyler replied back, he didn't want to be a downer or a mardy bum and start complaining about the situation. He had already done that once Kat left and that just made everyone's mood (yes, even Derrick) worse than before. Allowing a small smile on his face when he asked about being the newest addition on John's shitlist and shrugging. "I don't know, man. He doesn't really have a reason to be angry with me. Well he does. But he doesn't know that part yet. I mean, I did Roary to get back together with him so that must count for at least some brownie points, right?" Returning his eyes to his feet once Derrick commented about Tyler "killing his vibe." Sure, he knew that the wide receiver was joking, but he still couldn't help but feel guilty. And it was sort of true. Tyler had been wallowing in melodrama for quite some time and his mood was affecting other people. "No worries, it's no big deal."

Glancing at Roxy, who had finally come to her senses and got out of the freezing water. "Probably should be, but it isn't. Can't really blame me, though." Tyler retorted back at her, attempting to downplay the situation. Her stripping had been a good distraction for the time being, but there was truth in what she said. Tyler just felt like an all out d**k and Roxy had had indirectly reinforced that concept ingrained in his head. And then she left. Frowning slightly, but Tyler knew he needed to forget about her. And Roary, for that matter. It was for the best. However, he wished she hadn't made that comment because it had just made things awkward between them again and Tyler feel like s**t about himself.

Out of nowhere, the younger Cunningham had arrived at the dock and acted like a psycho jealous girlfriend by pushing Derrick in the water. Fortunately, he had quickly lateraled his phone back to Chili so that it wouldn't die. Catching the phone with his soft, able hands. For the first time that night, a genuine smile had appeared on his face. Maybe it was because he was a little intoxicated that it seemed funny to him that Riley had pushed him into the freezing water? Yeah, that was probably it. "You're my favorite Cunningham," Tyler said to Riley before looking back at Derrick. Out of his peripheral vision, he saw the bottle of alcohol being hurled into the lake, tossing his and Derrick's phone to Sloane, hoping that she would make the catch and wouldn't let them down. If not, oh well, his phone was kind of crappy. And it was always the shitty phones that were indestructible. "I TAKE THAT BACK." With urgency in his eyes, Tyler dived in headfirst after the bottle of R&R, reaching out as far he could to save it and tucking it into his chest, like a football, before meeting the water. As Tyler resurfaced, he began to shiver, the situation was kind of amusing though. Smirking over at Derrick, if he had not been so wrapped up in what Riley thought, he was sure that he would've thought it was funny as well. "Holy s**t, it's ******** freezing. Jesus Christ, get me out of here." Swimming over to the edge with lighting speed, Tyler climbed over so he could get the ******** out of the water.

What I do for alcohol. I should get an award or something. A victorious smile was plastered on the tight end's face, he actually did something good for once. "You okay, bro?" Tyler asked looking over at the shivering wide receiver, one day they would look back and laugh at it. Tyler was already laughing, while it may not be the most appropriate time, he wasn't sober so he had an excuse. Taking his phone back from Sloane and checking if he had any new messages. He really didn't want to talk. He wasn't the type of guy to go b***h about his life to just anyone, but it was Roxy, he couldn't turn down her offer even if he wanted to. She had some type of mystic hold over Tyler, which kind of sucked because he knew she would never like him the way he liked her. "I'm gonna go. I'll talk to you guys later." Debating on whether to reply back to not, Tyler selected what he thought was Roxy's name and replied back.

                                            i'll b there in a sec
                                            thanks for helping me out
                                            your a good friend

Of course, Tyler being the dipshit that he was, hadn't realized that he had sent the text to Roary instead of Roxy. "Later, dude. Do you gotta do." Tyler said to Derrick before making his departure and heading back into the house with the bottle of R&R that he saved (what a hero). Making his way through a cluster of drunk people dancing and finding his way to Roxy, entering the room he saw her laying down a bed. Is she trying to insinuate something? s**t, no, bad Tyler. John's going to hate you even more for this. ********] "Hey." He greeted her with a small smile, she didn't to hot, her eyes were red and poofy, it was too early for her to be hungover and she wasn't the type to get wasted in the first place. Maybe she was crying. "I know I'm supposed to talk about the bad crap I've done, but you look like you need someone to talk to more than I do. So what's up?"

                                            ||Full of fail, in my defense, i haven't slept in 3 days||

Roxanne looked up at the door opened. She gave a small smile as Tyler entered the room. ”I am pretty sure we both have our share of drama going on.” she said softly as she gave him a small smile. ”Why are you all wet?” she smirked as she looked at him. Sighing, she pushed her wet hair from her face and turned to her friend. Setting her phone on the small bedside table, she folded her arms over her chest. She didn’t know how to word this. He was her best friend, next to Skye, which speak of the devil. She reached over and grabbed her phone,

                              To: Skye
                              From: Roxy

                              Hey!
                              Be down in a few
                              Six feet under?
Was that from all of the commotion downstairs
                              : D xoxo

Pressing SEND, she set it back down, and looked at her friend, ”Tyler, what happened downstairs? What was that all about?” she asked softly as she folded her hands in her lap. She thought otherwise, and then let out a sigh. She didn’t know why the pang of jealousy was still there. She looked at him, and swung her legs over the side of the bed, her legs hanging over the edge like a little kid’s feet. Looking at him, her hair fell behind her in wispy threads. Her eyes looked up at him, a few tears welling up. She blinked them away, turning her head she wiped them away.

”You know what, I don’t give a s**t what happened with you and her.” she said softly as she got up. She walked towards him, taking the bottle from his hand. She set it on the dresser behind him, and then bit her lip. She didn’t know why she was doing this, but she felt part of her wanted to. She reached up and slid her arms around his neck, and brought her lips up to his. He tasted of Alcohol, but who cares she did to. She loved the feeling of his lips, but maybe he didn’t want this though. She stopped, opening her eyes, she stepped back, ”I-i-i-am so sorry.” she whispered as she stepped back, sinking on the bed. She brought her hand up to her lips, and looked at him. Her eyes were a little teary, and her pupils were slightly dilated.

She had drank a little bit before he came up, a bottle of 151 was laying empty on its side next to the bed. She let out a small sigh, her thoughts were jumbled, but it was saying only one thing. She wasn’t sorry. ”I take that back.” she whispered as she pushed herself off the bed, and pressed her body against his, and then pressed her lips against his. She slowly led him over to the bed, and then pushed him on his back, ”Please feel free to stop me anytime.” she whispered as she went back to kissing him. She looked at him, her eyes looking into his. She might’ve been slightly drunk, but she knew what she was feeling.

”Please Tyler, just let me have this. Make me forget everyone, make me forget everything that has happened.” she whimpered as she curled up against his chest. She took a deep breath, and realized her clothes were getting a little wet from his. She looked at him, as she slowly reached for the hem of his shirt, and pulled it off of his body, tossing it on the floor. She ran her fingers down his chest, and looked at him. Her eyes searched his as she reached for her shirt, wondering what he would do, waiting, holding her breath.

She let out her breath slowly, as she looked at her friend. She had a slight flashback when they were in Jr. High. She wasn’t the best looking in Jr. High, but she had friends. She was asked to a dance by one of the guys she had been crushing on. She had been ditched at the end of the night, and was left sitting alone on the bleachers at the last dance. She was about to burst into tears, but Tyler was right there. He had asked her to dance, and afterwards they were best friends. He was easy to talk to and was easy to get along with. They stayed that way, but when she had started to date John, they became distant,. They weren’t able to joke around like they used to. She never realized her feelings for her friend, but just of affection like one would have a dog.

She blinked, coming back to the present, maybe she was pushing this. She leaned back, resting her weight on her hip as she looked down at Tyler. ”Part of me wants to do this, but the other part is telling me that things won’t be the same for us if I do this.” she said softly as she reached out, and took his hand between hers. She then brought it up to her chest where her heart was pounding faster than it had ever before. She gave a small smile as she looked at him.

Sloane listened to Derrick talk about his summer. He was taking on a lot. Mixed martial arts? Sounded like fun but a lot of work. So she was right. Of course he had been playing football. Football was like the male version of a cheerleading. It was one of the toughest sports (yes cheerleading was a sport) and you wanted to do it 24/7 especially if you had love for it. "Well your summer sounds like it's been off to a good start even thought you're doing a lot." It certainly was better than hers especially since she was only taking her dance classes. "Hey. I have this crazy idea. You have to be a really good football player if you're captain and wide receiver. Why don't you teach me about football? I mean I like the sport I just don't really understand it. It's just so much stuff to understand." She said. A smile on her face. Yeah, she hung out with the cheerleaders and they knew a thing or two about football but she knew it'd be way more interesting if Derrick taught it to her. Hopefully he accepted. "Please tell me he doesn't have anything better to do than teach a freshman about football." Closing her eyes for several second she repeated the thought several times in her head before hearing Derrick's voice again. She nodded.

The two guys left and it was just Roxy and Sloane. She watched Roxy and ran a hand through her hair. The girl had to be losing her mind. Sloane couldn't lie thought if she had her bathing she might have jumped in with the female. She wanted to talk to Roxy but right now might not be the appropriate time especially since the guys would be coming back in any second. She let out a sigh and looked around. God! Her head was really starting to aggravate her. Where was Derrick with that bread? She looked to Roxy with a frown on her face. She was in pain. "This is why people shouldn't drink underage. This is also why there is a drinking age." She mumbled to herself. Suddenly Derrick appeared with the bread. She smiled and spoke up. "Thanks." Taking the bread from him she began forming small piece by eating it. She wasn't a big fan of bread but hey. She needed something to stop the alcohol from taking over so fast. She looked at Roxy with a confused look as she got up and left. "Damnit Roxy! If Roxy left that meant Tyler would leave. He certainly wasn't going to be the third wheel in a situation. The female bit down on her lip. She was becoming nervous. Hearing her phone ring she jumped a bit before retrieving it. It was a text from Roxy. Reading she began replying.

                                  Understandable.
That probably wasn't the best idea.
I think it's gonna get awkward now.
Tyler's not gonna play third wheel.
                                  - Sloane

She pressed send and placed her phone back in her clutch. The freshman was happy that Roxy had her back in the sense she was trying to give her alone time with Derrick. When Sloane thought about it, it had sounded like a good thing. Now it wasn't looking so good. As she continued to stuff her face with bread she felt a bit better. Maybe it was helping with the way the alcohol was absorbing. Hearing a female voice she looked to Riley and she quickly looked away. She didn't have tolerance for the girl. It was just something about her that gave Sloane a bad vibe. Her eyes darted around as she looked at the two males. In the blink of an eye Derrick was in the lake because of Riley. What the hell was that about? Hearing the comment about having Derrick she rolled her eyes. Seriously? Was she that jealous she had to stoop so low? It wasn't like they were hugging or hooking up. Sloane was eating bread and the boys were having their little conversation. The girl had issues. She was over analyzing something ever so simple. She let out a sigh. Suddenly the bottle of R&R was thrown and before she knew it two cell phones were being hurled towards her. She just barely managed to catch them. She held the two. She couldn't help but chuckle. Tyler had really diced in the water for a bottle of liquor. She was positive there was more liquor in the house. Was the bottle of R&R that important?

She saw Tyler get out the water and she handed him his phone. He stood there in his dripping wet clothes. He might want to get out of those clothes or else he would get sick. Derrick had emerged from the water. She handed him his cell phone before removing the scrunchie from her hair and shaking it out. It was like one of those shampoo commercials. The ponytail could have been the reason her head was hurting as well so maybe it might help. The scrunchie sat on her wrist. "That little girl is so rude! Are you okay?" Her voice full with concern. Sloane was one to talk. She was younger than Riley but yet she was calling her little girl. Well hey if she wanted to act like a child she would be called a child's name. He was wet as well and she was damn sure he was freezing even thought he was was no longer in the water. "You might wanna get out of those wet clothes. You can get sick or even end up with hypothermia." She said. How did she know that. Her daddy was a surgeon so she knew a bit about medicine. Looking down she looked at her shoes before looking back to Derrick. Her phone rang once more and she figured maybe it was Roary but once she looked at the screen it was Skye's name. Reading the text she sighed.

                                  Why?
                                  What happened?
                                  What did he do?
                                  - Sloane

She pressed sent. What was going on? This party was just drama filled and taking a turn for the worst. First it was the Roary and Tyler drama. Then Roxy and Roary were going thorough this weird phase. Riley wanted to be all psycho b***h and push Derrick in the lake and now Matt might have a funeral arrangements made because of Skye. All of this drama was starting to annoy the naive freshman. Earlier Sloane thought tonight would be a good night. She was slowly losing that thought. "Tonight is slowly becoming horrendous." She said as she looked out to the lake.

OhOhCee: I didn't really know how to end this.
