Jaiden gave her an exasperated look. Why would I be displeased with you? You did as I asked. He told her. But his frown crept back onto his lips. Hmm...I'll have to remedy that. He looked troubled. Yes, he had screwed up big time. But he had second guessed himself with making that deal with Melekh. The shade had ended up grabbing his hand. Still though he had made the deal and now look what happened.Yes, he would need to fix this. Couldn't rule with out people to rule over. How do I fix this? He asked her.

I am bored Jonathan. I don't think the man knows anything.Serah replied from her perch on the bar. She was filing her nails casually. Though why, Jonathan didn't have a clue, they were already perfectly manicured.Quit being rude to the nice bartender before the other patrons decide to step in. She said narrowing her strange colored eyes on her brother.Jonathan glanced around, yes the other patrons were eying him closely. He better back off. Many of these people weren't human and he and Serah were at their mercy should they decided to step in. I'm sorry, but this is important. Please, do you have any idea where this woman could be? Our sister is with her and we think she might be in danger. He had already shown the video footage to Serah and they had been searching for this place for days. It was the very bar, Jonanthan had caught Mel dancing in. The only problem, he had forgotten where it was. Now he stared old Sparky down.

Hmm, if your sister is with her, then she is in no danger despite what you think. That woman wouldn't let any harm come to one hair on your sister's head. Sparky a well rounded man who looked like a bear answered. He was getting annoyed, no one came barging into his bar and demanded information from him. He made it his business not know much of the personal information of his clientele. He knew more about Mel because she and her lot had helped him out many times before. Where she was now, he couldn't say, but he missed seeing her around. He wouldn't betray her even if he knew where she could be found, and to their certain displeasure, he did know. Mel had given him a card long ago, should he ever need help to come to Vea's Rose. He would never tell these two younglings though. It wasn't there business. If your sister is with Mel, she obviously wanted to be. Mel would never keep someone against their will. Now would you please leave? My other customers are getting anxious with a couple of watchers sitting here.

Serah frowned. Oh come on Sparky, we are not hurting anything. We just need to get in contact with our sister. But very well. We will leave. Come on Jonathan. We won't find what we are looking for here. You know nothing of Mel. She's a master at deception. She hid herself from us and ensnared our little sister. If anything happens to her, her blood will be on your hands because you did not help us. He snarled. He grabbed Serah and pulled her off the bar at her protest and headed for the door. Neither noticed the man who was watching them closely.

Well, well. Wasn't this his lucky day? Captain Marcus stood from the booth in the corner and sauntered after the two who were asking about Mel. Perhaps they could be of use to Jaiden.Especially if they wanted their sister back. Excuse me!He called to them, they walked pretty fast for humans. Perhaps I can be of some assistance.I happen to know where Mel is.

Jonathan whirled around and stared at the man. He was tall, very tall, was he almost seven feet? The Deshaw craned his neck to look at him.HE was very built like an ancient soldier even though his eyes said he was relatively young. Probably a little older than Jonathan himself. You know Mel? He asked him uncertainly. The strange man with yellow eyes nodded. Could you help us find her? This was too god to be true. Serah walked up beside him she was looking at the man with distrust.

I can, and I will. But I can take you to someone who could help you. My master, he is a king. Mel has been causing quite the trouble you see.He can probably help you get your sister back Marcus smiled sweetly at them. Perhaps they could be of some use, since they wanted something in return. Jaiden could use it against them.

Wait Jonathan how can we trust him? Jonathan did not reply he didn't care. They had sent the letter and tape to Vi but there had been no response. Unbeknown to them Vi had just been a little to busy to check her mail.Otherwise she would have responded. Where is she?

In a world that runs parallel to yours. It is where I am from. I have no reason to lie to you.Just give it a day and I will take you to my master. King Jaiden will be very glad to meet you. He can help you, so long as you help him in return He knew he had them at least the male. But one look at the girl and he knew she would follow. When Jonathan agreed, he gave them the time and place for their departure. One day in Thea and he had already found something that would be of use. He'd take them to Jaiden then come back to find those loyal to him.

Koal paused and listened to Vi's idea. It was devious and rather dangerous. He cracked a smiled, "I like the way you think, Vi. But I have something in mind to try first." He went back to studying his notes for a moment and trying to think of a good spell to scribe into the paper. He paged through the book for a few minutes then his eyes glinted with inspiration, "Yes, a cloaking spell would be quite the find for these types of men. Now..." He took out a few of the items he had purchased from the art shop: An eagle feather quill, and an ink well. He whispered a few foreign words and a small golden rune flashed into existence. He touched the rune to the ink and all that magic that the rune contained was absorbed there in. He smiled with satisfaction as he dipped the quill into the ink and very carefully inscribed the ornate language of magic into the scroll. It was a simple but very precise process and took several minutes to complete but soon enough Koal held up a decently written spell. The black ink shimmered with both the golden powers of the rune it had absorbed and the faint energies of the paper it self. "There if all goes well then all a person must do is speak a word to activate the spell and they will become invisible from all but the strongest sensors and beings. Now for a little experimentation." He flattened the scroll out on the table that he was working on and motioned for Vi to stand back, "I stumbled across this idea as I was studying this particular art and have been wondering if it were possible." He spoke a single word in one of the runic languages very similar to that which was scribed onto scroll. The written form of the rune appeared in a flash and hovered above Koal's hand. He inspected it for a moment then closed his eyes to concentrate. Sweat formed on his brow as his heart rate quickened in order to empower his mind a bit more. Slowly the golden calligraphy within Koal's grasp began to unwind into a single graceful strand. Koal opened his eyes and brushed the sweat from his brow with a smile. "That was a bit harder than I thought it would be." He looked and the golden rope that was once a rune and grinned impishly. He took a firm hold on the rope and noted the solidity that he felt in it. That was good, solidity would be needed for what he was going to attempt. He pulled in the slack of the rope and wound it into a sort of whip. "Now, lets see if my theory works." He took a stance a few feet from the desk and focused on the scroll set there. Then with a quick motion of his right arm he cracked the golden whip down upon the scroll. The moment the edge of the whip touched the black script upon the scroll it latched onto the language as if it were more than just two dimensional words. The golden power of the script shimmered brighter as it resonated with the golden energy of the rune whip. "Aha! So far so good." Koal exclaimed in brief triumph. He pulled the whip taught and slowly but surely the now golden script upon the scroll started detach from the paper and follow the pull of the whip. Koal pulled in the slack with a satisfied smile and took hold of the now floating cloaking spell. "So it does work after all..." He muttered as he looked in awe of the script he held before him. He pulled another scroll out of his pocket and pressed the golden script unto it. It flashed as it adhered to the scroll and slowly it resumed it's previous nature. "The whip is made of a simple rune that translates to unravel, but that alone wouldn't be enough to accomplish what I had in mind, so I did what Pic advised me back when we were testing my new arm. I showed some imagination, and it worked. The whip I formed from 'unravel' latched onto the similar energy that the spell script is composed of and then unraveled everything that bound it to the scroll. I didn't think it would actually work, but now I have a way to pull one over on those blackmarket thugs." He chuckled somewhat maniacally then stashed away to the cloaking spell along with the whip.

She watched him quietly, her expression brightening at his idea, though it was little hard for her to completely grasp what he had just done. In fact when she noticed he looked strained she began to worry about his well being. Are you alright? She asked him. The stared at the whip he had just made and watched what he did. Hmmm.I am not completely sure I understand what you just did. Could you explain it to me again? She asked timidly. It was the truth but then again she liked the sound of his voice and just wanted to hear him say it again. Oh geez Vi what is wrong with you today? She thought to herself.

Exasperation. Now there was a look she hadn't seen for some time. It registered as annoyance to her, a form of pester. Was she making Jaiden feel this way? Or was the man truly just that oblivious as to why she even asked in the first place? Did he not know that he frowned so much around her? "I do not know king, you express a constant displeasure as of late whenever I grace you with my presence." A frown meant he was displeased, such being the case again when he openly did it again. At least he looked troubled over what she had told him but that was to be expected when one heard such things. At least in the hume kings case. She was planing on not saying anything and promptly stood up to leave him to his meal, she had no need to stay for such a thing. Yet as she did so, he asked her what he could do to fix the issue's at hand. Honestly there were a number of ways to go about it. Some of which involved Jaiden's presence and others mainly Utau, she could do as she had done for the castle grounds and the immediate surrounding lands. Further out was the real problem, it would require barriers and spells but this she was versed in. What she needed was time. "Fix? You mean help your people as a king should do?" Utau folded her arms under her cloaked bosom, rolling the options around in her mind. What could he do? "Perhaps his highness should send word out to his people, encourage them. Win back any who lost faith in you as king, better still would be to send soldiers. Have them deliver supplies to these failing towns and villages. Where there is death and pestilence, provide medical attention. Hire healers if you must hume, just remember that a king is only as strong as his people." Seeing him sit there before such a lavish display of food almost made her regard him with avarice, such a sinful man this hume. She moved silently away from him, passing his seated form to supposedly leave the room. Yet she stood at his back, hands coming to rest upon his shoulders. She bent over him slightly, crimson spilling into view as she splayed her fingers out over his clothed chest. Simply measuring him as she felt his heart beating beneath her hand, it was a strong one. "..you need to use this more." She referred to the beating organ with a tap of her finger, lowering her head as she did so to peer at his face. "Money and power can only get you so far king. If you can not muster the strength to care about your people then act like it. If they believe the lie, they will happily die for the lie. Do you understand?" Utau eased back from him, her fingers ghosting up the column of his throat. If she wanted to, she could wrap her fingers around his neck. Dig into the flesh, make those lovely colors bloom in the form of bruises and blood. But no, she did not have the desire to do so. In the future? Maybe.

He listened his expression void of emotion, but that didn't mean he was taking her words into consideration. Yes, he just needed to get back to what he had been doing. He had provided these things, but the incident of his mistake with the shades had moved so swiftly it had left him at a loss.Yes, he just needed to start the game of catch up. She was right, even if he didn't care so much for his subjects, his attention and desire for Mel was he really cared about. With her, the world was his. Or so he truly believed. Thus without his knowing he was playing right into Utau's use of dying happily for the lie. He about to stand to go give the command when Utau leaned down from behind him speaking in that sultry voice that nearly lulled him, she tapped his heart.Heh that thing? It had long since been corrupted and there was probably no saving it. He didn't mind that one bit though. When her fingertips brushed against his neck he shivered. Crow...if you do not wish for me to seek you out at night, then why must you do things like that? He asked.

Emily looked up as a little door opened in the wall of her cell. It had been a little while since Mel had come to see her, food had been brought but other than that, she had been left alone. She was beginning to wonder if she was ever going to be released, wasn't that what Mel promised? That was when the door opened. Desperate to get out of the lonely room, she scrambled towards it feeling her spirits lift until she collided with something and fell down. She looked up to stare right into the eyes of the demon she attacked. He had been coming through the little door too. What the hell was this? Why!? You! She said feeling her anger rise, but just like that she remembered what Mel said. She was to serve him, or something like that. Get to know him? Grumbling a curse over her luck to herself she looked away from him. Did Alice really lie to her?

What the hell? Hernando, rubbing his head looked down at his feet where Emily lay sprawled on the floor of her cell. What the? He thought this was his way out. What game was Mel playing? Or was this Rumiko? Most likely Rumiko. Mel had told him he would suffer the girl's presence, get to know her. Rumiko most likely decided to go ahead and get them started.None to happy about the situation and clearly wanting to be anywhere but here, Hernando held out his hand to Emily in a way of peace. She ignored his offer however and pushed herself to her feet.Dropping his hand back to his side, he too grumbled something under his breath.Look I don't like this anymore than you do. In fact I would like to just get the apologies out of the way and be about my own business, but unfortunately we are not allowed to do just that.So...why don't we try to start over? His voice calmed a bit and he tried to smile sweetly at her, but his expression was probably awkward. I'm Hernando Mishamoure. he said. I'm sorry I attacked you but did you really think I was gonna just sit there and let you try to kill me?

Emily was silent for a moment, she could feel his irritation dripping off him like water on a window pane. Finally she let out a breath. I suppose you are right, but that doesn't mean I am going to trust you. I'm Emily Ravencroft.....I'm sorry....I accused you...I just... She stopped she could finish that sentence. When she looked at him she saw something strange flick in those dark brown eyes. Was that compassion? Since when was a demon compassionate? No she must be mistaken. Looking away from him she decided she would play this little game, but that didn't mean she would ever trust him or think differently of him. I guess, I am your...servant.... She said then gave him a puzzling look when he started to laugh. Hey quit laughing at me!!! She took a swing and missed. Shouting in annoyance when he called her slow and ran for the exit. Get back here!! She shouted chasing after him

Rumiko's Room---------

Rumiko put the mirror aside with a smile. Ah, what stubborn children they are. She said as the image of Emily chasing Hernando out of the contentment room fades from the smooth clear surface of the silver mirror. She laughed to herself. This was going to be a fun game. She really needed to thank Mel for setting it.

Seeing that Jaiden was once again proving to be of use now that he looked like he was going to do as she suggested, which was funny seeing as he was king. No it was when she was going to leave him to his ordering and commands that he stopped her with a question, an honest one no less. How fascinating. She turned her head to stare at him over a crimson clad shoulder, viewing him with a look close to intrigue. Oh? What was this now? "I said that to deter you that night. My attire was lacking and enlisted a very male reaction from you, therefore I made it clear to stave such urges till you provided my clothes." Her attention remained on him as she returned to his back, a hand trailing across the back of his chair as she passed. His food though sparsely touched appeared all too much for the man and that was wasteful. Between what looked like a spread of roast with veggies and fruit, she came to stand at Jaiden's side and eyed some very red objects there. Now what had they been called? Oh yes, strawberries. "I believe you might be overreacting to my presence, I am being very good at the moment." Plucking one of the red fruits from the spread before the king, she pressed the strawberry to her lips and paused for a second or two. "True I am not here for your pleasure Jaiden, our contract is not of lustful appetites. However, that does not mean I do not scent them off you from time to time. I need nourishment, your desires are quite strong and it is what feeds me now. Until I can find another source, I must make do with what I have. " At that she bit into the reddened berry, a soft keening sound passing. It might not provide her with what she needed but the taste? Exquisite.

He had not looked at her as she glanced back at him, his back was still turned and he started to work on the meal. However when she came to him again, his attention was back to her even while he cut into the roast on his plate. To deter him? Oh right like that had really stopped the thoughts from going through his head. And even still with clothing it was the same. So, now that you have the clothing you are still moving and doing somethings in such away to get a reaction out of me in order to feed? He questioned curiously trying to see how much she would answer. Hmm, what did I get myself into now? All though, she has been very helpful so far...and I did mention something about my services, although I don't think that is really what she wants, eh... He stopped his thought process then there before it gave him a head ache. A raised eyebrow, the way she held the strawberry so sensually against her lips. Was she trying to rile him up?

Han'i appeared uncertain about something in that moment, a tension forming in his shoulders. "You don't have to do that for me." Plus he didn't want to get into the tub when he still needed to get in the shower next to it in order to wash the blood from his body, then he would gladly get in the tub. But something about being surrounded in red really set him on edge, like the bad dreams which plagued his mind. "..let me rinse off first and you go ahead." So instead, he motioned for Mel to go on ahead with the bath as he stepped over to the shower, turning the hot and cold water on before stripping as fast as a jackrabbit on a date and getting under the spray while shutting the fogged up glass door. He was quick to scrub at his skin, perhaps a little too roughly at times but he was careful to not draw blood. Mel wouldn't like that and despite his want to sometimes come right out of his damn skin, he wouldn't want to make her worry.

Xx--Liel's Room

Liel had been laying there in her bed for some time, sleeping peacefully as ever. Her shocking waves of almost white blonde hair falling about her, lips parted on a sudden sigh as she rolled over onto her side away from kitty Arum. The covers slipping lower as her legs kicked the sheets off, having likely grown too warm. A strange fluttering sound rasped against the air, said sound being Liel's wings twitching. Lightly flapping against her back as if whatever she may be dreaming excited her, it was the tiniest of twitches that tucked them down against her back again. A frown beginning to form as the petite starlit reached a hand out, grabbing a fistful of blankets and tugging at it with a pitiable sound. "..u....au.." It was the strangest string of syllables, not exactly a moan or groan but a frightened whimper.

"I shall show you then?" Utau's questioning words held an edge of gravity. What was she asking really? Truthfully, she wasn't purposefully trying to rile Jaiden up. The man was supplying her all on his own, she hadn't felt the need to do anything thus far and wished for that to continue. However, if the idea of sleeping with her would produce results then she could entertain such a fantasy. Again, just the idea alone. She returned to standing at his back, hands coming to rest once more on his shoulders. The path to follow was down his arms, her form having to press at his back as she wrapped her fingers around his wrists. The action making him abandon his dining utensils as she raised his right wrist up slightly, lowering her head next to his she rubbed her thumb in a soothing circle across the back of his hand. Fingers deceivingly delicate as she tightened her hold, it was when she brushed her lips lightly against his ear when she spoke that the male would then notice the fire in his veins. "I haven't properly fed. I only took what you offered me..if I am to be honest. I haven't purposefully done anything to gain a reaction from you. It would seem your random surges of emotions have sustained me thus far."

Melia noticed something was wrong. He seemed hesitant. I want to do something for you Han' i. She said sweetly, then nodded when he said he wanted to rinse first. Alright. I'll be here. she told him. As he got into the shower to rinse the blood off, she stripped down into just her skivvies, then reclined back on the ledge checking to make sure the bath water stayed warm. Now she just waited for him, wondering if she should have just left him alone. She would feel bad if he thought this was awkward. She had not missed the tension in his shoulders before he ducked into the shower stall. That was the last thing she wanted him to feel.

At the first hint of distress Arum came awake. He shifted into his form and reached out to the starlit. Liel. He called worried, pulling her into his arms. Liel, wake up. It's just a dream. What had frightened her so? Worried he tried again to wake her up.

Damn he hated it when he couldn't control himself, and with a woman, that was usually never a problem. He wasn't the one who seemed paralyzed. But with Utau running her hands down his arms until she had hold of his wrists, he couldn't seem to move. The fire that was starting to boil had him half shuttering his eyes. Ah, yes, he could listen to that voice all night. Is that so? He hissed, his senses starting to heighten. Why the hell was he so sensitive to touch tonight? It was very unlike him.

Just as things were getting warmed up, she released her hold on the hume king. Calmly moving away from the man like nothing had happened, for her that was quite true. Jaiden? He would have to deal with the..symptoms. "As you now know, I have been very good." She raked a hand through her hair with eyes closed, almost wanting to reduce the man into a mumbling mess of flesh. Ah but she couldn't do that now could she? Now was not the time, if there ever was to be one, for her to do such things and with a hume no less. "If you have need of me, I will know." Utau's form vanished from view, the sound of the woman sighing being the last thing to mark the air. How hungry was she now?

Xx--Liel's Room

The starlit gave a jolt at being woken up, her arms tucked securely against her bosom as she blinked up at the youngest qilin questioningly. What was the worried look for? She glanced the room for anything out of the ordinary, seeing everything was the same she frowned in concern at Arum. "..what's wrong?" Her sleep addled state left her in a haze, the tiniest of yawns escaping her as she raised a hand to rub the sleep from her eyes. Then as realization dawned, she slowly became redder and redder in the face. Arum was holding her, in his arms. Question was a tentative why, only because she partly didn't mind and partly wanted to know if he was just being well him or if perhaps she had kicked him? Kei had often said she liked to kick in her sleep, sometimes slap too. She had apologized to the brunette multiple times when he had revealed her sleeping habits, strangely he had only quirked an odd smile. Pushing those thoughts away for the moment, Liel focused on the qilin.

Xx--Han'i's Room

He was true to his word about being quick, the remnants of diluted red swirling down the drain as he shut the water off. Stepping out of said shower, he wrapped a towel about his hips, sneakily so mind you, then shook his head of already damp hair to rid himself of the moisture. It would appear the Aina passed down a few other traits to the qilin male's other than the ability to flicker. Seeing Mel sitting there, he offered a smile at her. A little uncertain yes because having someone else's hand on you like that was foreign, plus it was Mel so that just added to the worry of 'What If'. They had been consumed by the heat of passion multiple times that he knew for a fact that he had yet to tell Melia of his scars. Or even further about Ragnaroks brand crawling up the underside of his left forearm. "..what brought all this on?" Han'i's question was soft spoken when he approached her, an honest question yes but all the same curiosity. It wasn't every day he was treated, not like this.
