It was six o’ clock on a Monday morning in an open and vigorously decorated room, when all of the sudden the dense silence was broken by spoken words coming from the radio on an alarm clock. Just as it had begun to go off into some pop song that was now popular among teenagers, a pale hand shot out from beneath a mound of covers that was placed on a bed right beside the nightstand where the obnoxious sounds were protruding from. The hand flailed about in the air as it tried to find exactly what it had been looking for – the snooze button. Connected to the hand was an eighteen year old brunette female who would be starting the first day of her senior year in high school. Ten minutes of sleep couldn’t hurt right? Her mind tried telling her as she rolled over in bed and tried to catch just a few more minutes of sleep. Sadly her reasoning wouldn’t do her any good; for suddenly a door was opened and the light in this room was now turned on. ”Cassy… Cassy, it’s time to get up now. I really don’t see why you even set your alarm clock anymore considering the fact that you never listen to it, and I’m the one that has to get you up every morning,” sounded a voice that came from a loving mother whom was now moving across the room to open her daughters curtains. In response to her mother’s words, the teen, known now to be Cassy, said a few incoherent words that came out muffled due to the blankets covering her head. ”You know that I don’t understand gibberish,” her mother spoke, and you could tell it came from the lips that was formed in a smile. The woman tugged the blankets to free her daughters tired body. ”I said that the reason I don’t let my alarm wake me up is because you do the job so well.” A tired face spoke as she sat upright in her bed and yawned. Smiling at the older woman she continued with a happy, ”Morning mom.” The mother put her hands on her hips and nodded at the girl. ”Good morning sweetheart. Now it’s time to get up, you wouldn’t want to be late on your first day back now would you?” Cassy seriously contemplated that, but in the end she decided that she supposed she’d rather not. By the time her mother left the girl’s room, Cassy was already up and picking out clothes to wear for the day.
After deciding on the outfit, she padded her way over to her bathroom where she would then proceed to take a shower, dry her body and hair, put on her clothes, brush her teeth, fix her hair – which would end up being put into a sloppy bun as per. usual, considering how she was always too lazy to do anything else with it, and then finally putting on what little make-up she usually wore. Soon after she finished her routine, Cassy gathered her school bag and checked off all her supplies mentally. Once she was satisfied with that, the woman made her merry little way down stairs, and into the kitchen. After drinking down a glass of water and taking her vitamins she hugged her mother and father farewell, and left the warm and safe house to walk to her high school. Normally she would ride her bike there, but today was a fairly pleasant day. The air was still warm from the lingering summer, the sky was bright and dotted with clouds, and well... she could do with a little exercise. As she started her walk, she took out her phone to check the time. It was now seven twenty and classes started at eight. Being it a little after seven, she thought it was safe to assume that it would be okay to send a quick text message to her friends.

Message: morning everyone! here’s to our new and last year at Bing, huzzah!
Cassy wasn’t a very… outgoing person. Due to that she only had a few very close friends. She loved them all dearly, and thanked those lucky stars every day that she could depend on those lovely people. A few minutes later the coffee brown eyed female was making her way up the front steps of Bing High. Aka school aka the bane of her, and granted, every teenagers existence. She quickly made her way to her new locker and put in a few of her this year classes textbooks, only keeping her AEGIS English IV’s textbook in hand, considering the fact that this was her first hour class. The girl debated on whether or not she wanted to go to class early and stake out a good spot before all the seats were filled, or if she wanted to wait for her friends to show up at the front steps of the school. She decided on the latter, and headed for the stairs. Whilst out there she sat down on a bench and placed her bag down. In a way it was refreshing seeing all the familiar faces again, the first day of school was usually always a good day after all.
