Brahm raised an eyebrow at Anya. 'Sterling? No wonder I have never seen her..' he thought silently, outloud he replied, "Well if you want something fresh, depends on how much time you have to spare. I make some mean pankcakes but if you're in a hurry, I have some chocolate cake left over from early this morning." he said with a grin. He heard a series of beeps coming from behind him to let him know that the coffee was done. Walking over to the pot, he poured out two steaming mugs of freshly brewed coffee. It was imported from Jamaica and had a slight hint of hazlenut in it. Placing the mugs on the counter in front of Anya, he reached beneath the cash register to grab the cream and sugar. "How do you take it?" he asked as he heard the bell over the door chime. Looking behind Anya, he noticed the two girls that walked in. 'Man, and here I thought I was done for the day!' he thought happily to himself as he smiled over at the other two new comers. "Make yourself at home, I'll be with you in one sec'." he told them as he turned his attention back to Anya.

"Pancakes sound delicious." Ana responded with a smile. In other words, she had nothing but time on her hands. When Brahm set the mug on the counter in front of her, she said a quiet "Thank you." The coffee itself smelled quite nice already. When he asked his question, Ana smiled, once again, and was about to give an answer, before see saw Echo walk in with Rhianu. The woman quickly shut her mouth and turned her full attention to the vampire girl. "I told you I'd see you later, little sister." She said, the corners of her lips turning up slightly, to give the smallest of smiles. Anya then turned her attention back to Brahm, her small smile turning into a slightly awkward one. "Um...two sugar, one cream." She answered, fiddling with the key to her Ferrari that she'd yet to stick back in her purse.

Josephine actually blushed as she thought about why she was banned from Europe. 'And here I thought, I had mastered my emotions..' she thought grumpily. Looking down at the floor in embarrassment she scuffed her shoe on the tiled floor, before realizing how she was acting. Raising her head to look at her brother, she got a defiant gleam in her eye like the one she usually wore while she was in the courtroom. "Long story short, I tried to attack a judge in my wolf form." she said, blush fading to where it only remained across the bridge of her nose.As the embarrassment was leaving, irritation started to take its place. Thinking about the other part of his question before she lost herself to her agravation, she shook her head negatively. "I just got here..to be honest, I've never even heard of this town." she said as she crossed her arms. "And whats wrong with Rhianu's friend? You sounded a little unsure about that last part." she asked as her brows drew together in a small frown.

((Alright, yeah Yukiko told me about you three starting school earlier. I'll try and post Brahm's response to Anya tonight, that way it will be ready to go for tomorrow night. I too, will be gone most of the day tomorrow due to work. G'night.))

The child without a name grew up to be the hand.
To watch you, to shield you or kill on demand.

Echo watched her friend on deciding where they should eat before she answered her question. By the sound of her tone, Rinu didn't like her older sister very much, but she wouldn't ask why, simply giving her a slight nod. Hearing the werewolf's response about what she was hungry for, a very small smile graced her pale lips again as a thought come along. "Steak and eggs? And here I though she was going to say 'Fish and chips'." She didn't know why, but that was what Echo thought she was going to say. Giving another slight nod, she followed her werewolf friend towards the bistro owned by the Anderson's oldest son. Since speaking with humans wasn't something Echo really liked doing, and since her family was so damn secretive about everything that they did, she had only seen the actual members of the Anderson family once or twice around town. Well, Echo thought it was okay to eat there, since she didn't smell any other humans besides the owner, but when she spotted the black Ferrari, she was just a little hesitant. But it was too late now, especially since the Anderson boy took notice of them, as well as her sister. "Rinu wanted me to get something to eat before I got into a coma from lack of sugar..." Echo explained to her older sibling in her utterly quiet voice, that she used only when she needed to tell something to her family when others were around. It was very useful since humans couldn't hear her when she talked, or didn't even saw her lips move even the slightest to form a word, but the vampires could understand perfectly clear... even the werewolves if they were paying attention to her. Being the little sister that she was, Echo always gave her older sister some space, so, she grabbed Rinu's arm and carefully pulled her to a table near the other side of the eatery. A long enough distance in this place to give Ana room to continue on what she was doing, especially since Echo pretty much never paid attention to anything when giving space to her sister. "Here's fine..." Echo spoke to Rhianu in her quiet voice before taking a seat, closing her dark eyes and intertwining her fingers under her chin and resting her elbows on the table, like if she was thinking about something. When really, all she was doing was paying attention to the little sounds outside like the cars passing by or the birds chirping. Just so she wouldn't pay attention as to how much this place smelled like humans, or the smell of the Anderson's boy's blood. Which did smell quite lovely, but it wasn't enough to phase her. No, not enough. Besides the smell of spilled blood, Echo had yet to find anyone that actually, in a way, drove her mad with thirst, and she was grateful for it. She hoped she never one day found that someone. This was one of the many reasons Echo did not go to the hospital owned by her family, besides the basic fact that she still looked sixteen after nearly three centuries of being what she was. A vampire. But Echo did help out with sorting patient's files or any secretary-like work when asked, or whenever they were running short on staff at the hospital. She was raised to become a doctor, and her family owned the place, so why not help out? She took slight amusement with how in awe the incompetence doctors were when she helped out. Of course, it was almost expected for her to be that good at her work.

Rex was a little amused to see Josephine's behavior, that was, until she finally told why she was banned from Europe, in which case his mouth dropped open. "You did what?!" He decided to shake his head and let it slide, crossing his arm with a small smirk. That particular smirk that said, "I still have no reason to become a lawyer." Quite a complicated smirk if you weren't apart of the family to know it well. When he heard that she hadn't even heard of this town herself he nodded, "Thought so." Which means that she could have very well gotten a ride from a Taxi that knew Black Residence all too well. Sighing a bit when he saw her cross her arms, he hung his head a moment, as if trying to think. Finally he lifted it and tilted it towards one of the corridors. "Lets go into the sitting room.. The one not coated with Rhianu's pictures." He waited a moment, then started to walk out of the foyer, into a modest sitting room with a comfy floral couch, matching love seat, low oak coffee table with leaves designed into its legs, and a stone fireplace. Derryl plopped onto the couch. "Its not that there's anything wrong with Rhianu's friend." He cleared his throat, subtly mumbling a quiet, rushed sentence behind it. "Except she's a vampire." But he waved his hand as if he never said that and continued. "She's a part of the Sterling family that works at the hospital, I've heard that they're prodigies with medicine... I'm sure living a few hundred centuries helps with that, just like how Mom and Pop have refined arguing in stuffy black suits." He was picking on Jo by not including her in that sentence, but he was waiting to see how she'd respond. The entire family had never gotten along with vampires. At least, that was until Rhianu went taboo again and befriended one.

Funny thing was, the twin sister almost had said fish and chips. Rinu pretended to be preoccupied with visually searching for a seat when Anastasiya spoke to Echo. The camera had already been shut off with the subtle push of a button before they entered the bistro, so it was just sitting in her hand, once again not recording the moment. With a quiet yelp she followed Echo, being dragged by one arm. Rhianu giggled and sat down, turning the camcorder back on, focusing it on Echo's thoughtful face as she sat across from her. She had waved to Brahm when they acknowledged her. Rhianu had seen Brahm more often than probably either of the Sterling sisters, but, rarely coming into the Bistro these few years she hadn't really gotten to know him. "What is the silent Echo thinking about this particularly people-less morning?" Despite the restaurant smelling so heavily of humans, there weren't any currently in the restaurant, which had Rhianu thinking rather highly of herself. She knew that the youngest Sterling didn't like to be around humans, not that any of them did. Suddenly it was as if the morning had started all over and Derryl hadn't been a part of it at all.

((Congrats Yukiko for such a long post.... I just realized that you two playing sisters in the rp works out almost too well. xD Darky is already like an older sister. =3 -hides- ))

Josephine raised an eyebrow at Derryl as she followed him into the sitting room. She hadn't been to this side of the house yet, but it wasn't suprising considering the size of the place and the small amount of time she had to look. Walking out of the foyer, she glanced around the sitting room and couldn't help but admire the funiture and the atmosphere of the room. That is, until she caught sight of the couch. 'What is it with the floral print? Really?' she thought to herself as her nose wrinkled slightly. The room in total was quite comfortable and easy on the eyes, if you could ignore the couch. Taking a seat on the love seat opposite of Derryl, Josephine crossed her legs, as she straightened out her skirt. It was a nervous habit that she had yet to break herself of, even after all of these years. "So, wait..you mentioned Rhianu's pictures. Do you mean to tell me that all those pictures framing the hallways and other rooms were all taken by her?" she asked in suprise. The pictures were very well done, so well in fact she had actually thought that they were professionally done. Shaking her head, she waved off his response to their sister's talent, instead deciding to focus on the other part of his answer. "Sterling? You mean THE Sterling's? I didn't realize they were vampires.." she said with a raised eyebrow as she stored that information away in the dark recesses of her mind to study it later. She didn't know how she felt about her younger sister being friends with a vampire. She never had a problem with vampires as long as they didn't kill their victims. She was actually pretty good friends with one back in France so she guessed she really couldn't say anything about her sister. 'Atleast it isn't a ghoul..' she mused. Apparantly, her siblings were like her instead of like their parents, which was a relief to Josephine. Hatred took too much energy out of a person, atleast it did her and she had better things to do with her time then hate on someone she didn't even really know. Brushing her bangs slightly with the back of her hand to move them out of her eyes. She really needed to stop putting off that hair cut. Coming out of her thoughts, she looked back to her brother as her eyes narrowed slightly. "Mother and Father only work in stuffy black suits because they have no sense of style.." she said playfully, her voice taking away some of the glare out of her expression. '..And no sense of humor either.' she finished in her mind.

Raising an eyebrow in curiosity as he heard Anya call the younger girl sister, he dropped two cubes of sugar into her coffee, stirring it for her until it was dissolved before dishing a little cream in. "Well then pancakes it is." he said with a wink as he went to reach for his pad and pen. 'Little sister? Geez she is going to be a knockout when she gets older..' he thought amusedly to himself. Outloud he said to Anya, "I'll get those pancakes started for you in a few. Let me go take their orders first though.." Grabbing two menu's and walking over to two girls, he noticed that they had picked the farthest table away from the bar. Raising an eyebrow and giving the girls an easy smile, he propped his hip on the side of the table. "Welcome, I'm Brahm. Can I get ya'll anything to drink?" he asked as he slid the menus in front of each girl. He had heard of the Sterlings, mainly because the parents and oldest daughter were suppose to be genius in the medical field, but he had never heard much about the youngest one. Not to mention this was the first time that he had ever seen either one of them. He tried to stay away from the hospitals if he could help it. They smelled funny to him, plus he didn't like to be around so much pain and suffering. Turning his attention away from Anya's little sister to her friend, he couldn't help but mentally shake his head. All these beautiful females and all in one day! 'I wonder who she is..' he thought to himself curiously.

Ana watched quietly as Brahm fixed her coffee for her. "Thank you." She said again, before pulling her coffee closer to her. The woman gave another small smile and nodded, before the Anderson boy walked over to take Echo and Rhianu's order. A few seconds later, a quiet buzzing sound reached her ears. Sighing, Ana set her purse on the counter top, and pulled out her phone, placing her keys in there as she did so. A frown came to rest on her lips when she saw who was calling, but took the call nonetheless. "Hello?" She said politely, only to be met by a loud, seemingly angry voice on the other end. Anastasiya held the phone away from her ear as the volume on the phone went down. Placing it back to her ear, she grabbed her purse, and headed out the door, just long enough for her to talk. Anya seemed perfectly calm as she walked back in and took a seat where she had just been. The person she'd just been talking to was one of the doctors at the hospital...one who didn't know what he was doing. However, he took it upon himself to call her, during her time off, to complain about how she shouldn't change what he'd diagnosed someone with, even if her parents ran the hospital. This just brought her back to how she hated having to be a nurse for the time being. It was fine though, because if he messed up again, he'd surely be excused from his duties. Sipping her coffee, a slight smile came to rest on her lips as she thought about that. That meant one less incompetent doctor there...but that also meant that they would have to find a better replacement.

((Now, how was I to know that you told her that, huh, RoRo?
And no, not completely irresponsible...but you also forget things...a lot. You forget things halfway through a sentence.

And meh, at least you didn't say I was like a mother, TLee. -_-))

Echo propped one of her dark eyes open as she heard her friend ask her what she was thinking about. Eying the camcorder's lens for a moment, she ever so lightly, shrugged her small shoulders. Rinu had just said "human-less", surely something her brother would have smacked her upside the head for, but Echo didn't mind. The one thing about being friends with a werewolf was that, she didn't have to pretend to be human. She could easily be herself, but since they were in town, and around humans, they had to act normal as possible. But sometimes that didn't stop her. "About who my next victim should be. It's been a while since I last drank fresh blood..." Of course, if Derryl were here, he would take her twisted joke seriously and probably overreact, even when she spoke in a quiet, bored tone. But Echo didn't drink blood from just humans. Occasionally, she would go off and hunt whatever large enough animal she could find in the nearby woods, plains, valleys, whatever. Sighing quietly, she leaned back in her seat a little, keeping a calm expression as the Anderson boy got closer to their table. "Here we go..." Echo thought to herself as the human's scent over-powered her for a moment, before being able to control herself perfectly. Upon hearing him introduce himself, the young vampire girl smiled kindly at the boy. Since, well, he had been polite, and she did promise her parents that she would show emotion every now and again when meeting someone she didn't know. "Bellatrix Sterling, but you may call me Echo.." She started with introducing herself, fighting back the flinch that threatened to appear when she spoke her first name, but using her child-like voice. Motioning towards Rinu, her smile still in place, she continued. "And this is my friend; Rhianu Black, but she goes by Rinu. It's very nice to meet you, Brahm." Of course the werewolf could have introduced herself, but Echo was being nice, something Rinu would have loved to gotten for her video. Taking a moment to think, the silver-haired vampire girl's smile grew just a little. "Um... do you have hot chocolate?" Ha! Shy Echo had made a slight appearance as she asked about a specific drink, and it seemed the only thing that was missing was a soft blush, but she didn't feel anything towards the human boy besides curiosity.

He nodded in an almost bored way when Jo asked about the pictures. "You don't remember that, as soon as cameras were developed Rinu had to have her hands on every new model?" But his rhetorical question was waved aside, and he watched her with his usual bored expression. "Yee-up." He sighed, shifting on the couch so that he was sitting a little more upright, crossing his arms. It seemed that Josephine was taking the news rather well. Which Derryl was a little surprised about, but it wasn't an unwelcome surprise. It seemed he was just about the only one that inherited their parent's prejudice against vampires. In fact, across the park in a little Bistro, Echo Sterling had Rex Black pegged on his behavior. He sneezed, covering his nose. Must have been the dust, Rhianu neglected her dusting duties last night, and a large home like this was bound to collect dust bunnies at any given chance. He caught his older sister's glare and almost laughed, then sighed, shaking his head. "How can you stand being in a courtroom Jo?" It was an honest question, one that he ask often of his parents out of astonishment, or bewilderment. But he'd but that answer to the side as he sat up. "So you're really alright that our little sister is best friends with the youngest Sterling?"

Rhianu chuckled when Echo joked about her next 'victim'. "Maybe Rex could be your next tasty victim, I could always lure him into a certain park, late at night." She whispered with an air of conspiracy around her camcorder, giggling as quietly as possible as she thought about making a film dedicated to her brother's paranoia about vampires. Seeing Brahm approach out of the corner of her eye she grew quiet, still keeping the camera on Echo as she looked at him with a happy smile. Yet she noticed that mainly, the dear Anderson boy's attention was mostly on Echo. Rhianu stuck her tongue out at her friend as she introduced her, "I could have introduced myself!" She whispered quickly, but despite the indignation in her voice, she'd greatly love that she had recorded Echo being so nice, hospitable, courteous, were those the right words? Being the hyper 20 year old that she was, seeing the shyer side of Echo show through, caused Rhianu to giggle a little. But she turned back to Brahm, leaning her elbow on the table, her cheek in her fist as she lazily pointed the camera at the waiter. "The real question is, 'how do you like it'?" She had a mischievous grin on her face. "He totally has it for Sterling girls. I guess he just can't handle dark haired wild things." Seeing his attention turn to her, she sat up a little straighter, she was about to extend her hand to shake his, say a nice "Hi, nice to meet you." but thought that it would be awkward once he had to figure out how to juggle his pen and paper. Instead she pointed her thumb in Echo's direction. "Like she said, you can call me Rinu. But you've prolly seen my twin brother around more, Derryl. He's been applying for jobs lately, and told me that he made a stop here." No, Rhianu wasn't making up a story, but she sounded oddly mature as she recounted this. She doubted that it would be easy to get a job at any food service place for either twin, with the tattoo under their eyes that they had gotten as a whimsical birthday present during the Rock Punk era of the 1900s. The lip rings didn't help much either. Then she suddenly remembered what his question had been. "Do you have cappuccino?" She had been lost in thought, which always gave her that slightly irritated look that her brother almost always had. So now she was blushing slightly, the camera still focused on the Anderson boy.

Josephine sighed as she uncrossed her legs, only to recross them the opposite way. "Its not that I like working in a courtroom. I hate them to be completely honest." she said as she brushed her bangs out of her eyes again. "They're too small, stuffy and filled to the brim with snobby lawyers who think they know it all. Plus I have to be around mostly humans." She wrinkled her nose in disgust as she thought back to all her previous cases. Humans were vile and disgusting low-life ignants. She couldn't stand to be around them most of the time. Unlike her parents who loved humans, she despised them with a passion. The only reason why she was in this career was for the children. Narrowing her eyes slightly in thought she looked back up to Derryl. "Humans are disgusting. I do not know how mother and father do it without retching to be honest." she said with a shrug of her shoulders. "As for Rhianu..I think she's old enough to make her own decisions on who she can or cannot be friends with." Standing up, she cracked her neck before reaching towards the ceiling to stretch out of her back. Hearing a pop, she sighed softly before shooting Derryl a small smile. "So what is there to eat around here?"

He chuckled a bit, no longer surprised in the least that she had gone wolf in the courtroom. "Mom and Dad aren't going to be happy to hear that at all" He shifted again, slouching more, and feeling extremely uncomfortable thanks to the ice cream that was still on his shirt and in his hair. He watched her with a sober expression as Jo commented about humans. He could care less about them, not that he was particularly fond of them. But he tolerated them much easier than vampires. He was still curious as to why she bothered with the courtroom at all, but decided to leave that conversation for another time as Josephine moved on to the topic of Rhianu's friends. He nodded, sighing and following her move to stand. "It's been four centuries, and we were born on the same day, but I still feel as if she's at least a century younger than me." He ran a hand through his hair, or rather tried. With a look of utter disgusted he pulled his fingers from his black hair, which was now sticking straight up in the front. He gave Josephine an almost fearful look, anticipating the humiliation, he could only picture how ridiculous he looked. But she asked where the food was just at the same moment, so he tried to push his hair back down with a hand as he strode past her out of the room and started down a hallway. "I'll show you where the kitchen is, everything is stocked full... You'll have to make it yourself though. I forgot to make coffee earlier, and I have to go take a shower before.." He entered the large kitchen, there were two windows, a large window showing the expansive garden that had a humble stone path leading into the forest, the other looking over a reading room. Truth be told it might not have been the only kitchen in the mansion. He saw a raven sitting on one of the branches of a tree right outside the window. He shrugged it off, always forgetting that both of his sisters had a thing against birds. Instead Derryl waved at Josephine, "Good luck finding everything, I'll be back." He left out of another door on the other side of the kitchen, poking his head back in quickly. "Try not to wander too far, don't want you to get lost in here." He was being a smart alic, and grinned before disappearing, heading into the shower.

Brahm nodded his head at Echo's introductions before writing down her order. "One hot chocolate coming up." he said with a grin. He glanced over at Anya as her phone went off, and she went outside to talk on it. 'I hope she's not leaving!' he thought to himself hurriedly, even though his grin nor his facial expression changed. Noticing her come back inside from the corner of his eye, he gave a mental sigh and turned his full attention back to the two girls hoping that they didn't notice his preoccupation. It wouldn't matter if they did, because it wasn't everyday he had a beautiful woman come in and actually agree to eat pancakes. It was nice to finally meet a young woman who wasn't worried about her weight. Shaking off his thoughts he looked back and forth between Rinu and Echo with a raised eyebrow, before finally settling his gaze on Rinu. "Black? As in the famous lawyers?" he asked in suprise. He didn't know that they had any more children. He had seen their oldest daughter standing behind them once or twice on the television, but never had he heard of a younger daughter. And she said she was a twin! Narrowing his brows down in thought, he shook his head slightly. "I don't remember a Derryl Black stopping by, but then again I don't remember a lot of things that I'm suppose to." Brahm said with an uneasy laugh while scratching the back of his head. 'I would remember a Black coming here..wouldn't I?' he thought to himself in confusion. He absentmindly nodded his head when Rinu asked for a cappuccino. "What kind would you like? I have Hazlenut, Vanilla, Cinnamon, and my newest creation Orange Cream." Was that his voice? He sounded so far away. Shaking his head, mentally of course, he focused back into the conversation as he awaited her response. He had to stop doing that when there were customers around. He barely had anyone come in as it was, he didn't want to scare away the ones that were actually interested.

Echo kept the smile on her lips when Brahm wrote down her order and started speaking to Rinu. Her eyes glanced over at her older sister as she came back inside the bistro, after having answered a call. She could only guess it was from a doctor from the hospital. Silently picking up the menu, she glanced through it, wondering on what she was in the mood for. "I guess.. something with meat.." Visibly pursing her lips, Echo continued to glance through the menu before deciding that she would agree with what Rhianu had said earlier. But just a steak, fries weren't very tasty to her. Placing the menu back down on the table, she listened in as the Anderson boy listed a the flavors of cappuccinos. "...Orange cream?" Echo asked curiously, both mentally and aloud, as she raised a thin eyebrow. intertwining her fingers under her chin and resting her elbows on the table, almost completely back in her thinking mode. Just not actually thinking. No, this time she looked around the bistro as much as she could. The place was nicely furnished, very modern. Staring at the furnishings, a thought did come across her mind. In a way, a simple thought; a thought about how she is tired of living in the "ravish" Sterling mansion. No matter where they went, their homes were almost always, one way or another, well-appointed with grand furniture. Giving the quietest of sighs, Echo frowned a very small, almost unnoticeable frown. How she would love to live in a regular, un-grand home for once. "Just once.." She muttered to herself aloud, before smiling at Brahm, in case he gave her a questioning look, that she was alright.

Hearing his surprise, she simply smiled, sitting up straighter, and sticking her one blue eye behind the camera. "He doesn't seem to mind being recorded at all..." Rhianu's tone turned happy and hyper, "Yup! That's my lineage, though I'm more of the investigative type I might go into Forensics instead of law." She grinned a bit, loving the expression that she had gotten when he glanced back at Ana. But the young woman wasn't going to tell Brahm that his preoccupation was the main reason for her return to a chipper mood. She giggled and shugged when he admitted to not seeing her brother, or at least not remembering. "That's okay, I don't either!" Rhianu pulled her eye away from the eyepiece to glance at Echo as she flipped through the menu, catching Brahm's thought which only made her smile again. She returned to paying attention to him, not expecting such a bountiful selection of cappuccino. "Orange Cream..? That sounds interesting." Not a second after that thought, Echo behaved as her name implied. Well.. Mentally at least. Rinu rubbed her temple, closing her eyes temporarily. She never liked to hear both thought and voice at the same time, at least not such a loud thought. She opened her eyes giving Echo a half glare, she didn't mean it, and the grin showed that. Turning back to Brahm Anderson, Rinu smiled sweetly, "I'll try your newest creation good sir!" Somehow she tagged an authentic British accent onto that sentence, sounding very enthusiastic in the process. She was just having fun, another day in the adventures of Rhianu.
