Derryl started to become painfully aware of Echo's leg wrapped around one of his own as he watched her expressions change in the slightest. The werewolf could not move away if he wanted to, not with that leg wrapped around him, ruining any kind of balance that didn't have to do what they obviously had in mind before Rhianu cut through their actions with that howl of hers. Rex was horribly confused, he had the faint idea that he could feel Echo's heart beat for a moment, although vampires weren't supposed to have heartbeats. He probably would have gently set his hand on her chest to check for that non-existent heartbeat, if he wasn't afraid of the repercussions at that moment. The silly boy was still stuck in a state akin to a deer being caught in the headlights, that was until he heard Echo call his name. Just that one syllable did wonders to break him out of the 'I-dunno-what-to-do' phase. He took a step back with his free leg, pulled his hands away from the tree and turned away from her, easily releasing his leg from hers as he stomped a few steps away, having his back turned towards her. "Derryl! Are you okay, what happened to you?" He sighed lightly, hearing yet another howl come from the edge of the woods near the mansion. He tossed a glance at Echo over his shoulder, one that betrayed none of the thoughts or emotions he was having, then turned his head towards the sky, letting out a darker, more somber howl that overlapped the first, soon his was the only one heard fading through the trees.
Rhianu had been standing at the door-way, already worried about her twin after she felt a sharp pain in her head, but she was content on waiting to see what happened. That was until she suddenly couldn't feel his presence at all, it was as if their connection had been completely severed, which had never happened before. She waited a few seconds before panic set in and she let out a furious howl to see if he would respond. Even though other wolves from the mountains, or even other family members might respond instead, she was listening for only one response. So when she didn't hear it she swung her legs over the ledge of the window and lowered herself, digging her claws into the brickwork, and kicking off her shoes so that she could use her toes to climb down the edge of the Black manor. Watching her, one would think that she had had a lot of practice doing that. When she reached the ground she pulled her flats back on and ran towards the edge of the forest, stopping and letting out another howl. By now she could feel his presence again, but she was still completely clueless. So she stood there, practically hyperventilating as she stood at the edge of the forest, for some reason unwilling to go in. Her heterochromia eyes were searching beyond the treeline frantically. "..Derryl..." The third time she called for him she heard a response, and felt far too relieved to hear it. She let out a heavy sigh, smiling.
Derryl sighed, hanging his head and shaking it lightly, he could feel the relief from his twin and decided that it was a good idea to head back to the mansion ASAP just so that she wouldn't tear the forest apart looking for him. He turned to look at Echo, his eyes seemed oh so sad. "Echo.." He didn't know what to say, he was torn between whether to make sure she was okay, maybe apologize and brushing it off in his usual, very grumpy manner raving about his dislike for vampires. He decided to choose the latter, his expression changed again, his eyebrows furrowing. "You're still a stupid blood-pixie." As if to reassure himself of that, he turned and started jogging away from her, towards Rhianu.
