and i love baking, yes! i've been baking since i was like 13 years old haha.
i've been vegan for almost 2 years now so i'm always trying out new recipes and seeing if i can easily veganize them and make them delicious to non-vegans as well.
i just baked a cake a while ago (for myself lol) and my boyfriend said it was literally the best cake he's ever eaten. so i have faith in my skills lol.

wow! that's really good, i'm proud of you!
I'm not vegan myself, i'm a vegetarian.
I haven't been courageous enough to become
a vegan, so that's really awesome and I have a lot
of admiration for you to be able to do that!
(I know it's not a difficult thing to do, but I just can't
find myself be willing to give up milk and eggs and the like)
I'm really into the conservation of animals and
keeping them safe as well as keeping them from being
abandoned or tortured. When I'm old enough, I plan on
buying a bit of land after working a few years and fostering
animals until they become healthy and finding a good home
for them! I hate what kill shelters do to animals even though
I know that there are way to many animals that are reproducing
rapidly and being thrown outside by their owners instead of being
sent to the proper facility.
It's pretty much my dream to foster animals and help save lives c:
I'm even thinking about studying animal anatomy and becoming
a veterinarian, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to deal with surgery
and having an animal be put down ): Oh well, I still have a whole
year before I decide what I really want to do.

I've been baking with my mom for a long time now, she bakes A TON
and so whenever she's in the kitchen I'm always right behind her helping
her out and picking up on what she does. That's awesome that we share
those interests!

i was a vegetarian for four and a half years before i became a vegan, and i always knew it was something i wanted to do. i just had to wait until i was good enough at cooking, smart enough to figure out how to substitute, and i had to wait until i had the money to buy my own food haha.
but it honestly was a great decision, because going vegan cleared my skin up, and i feel so much better physically on a vegan diet. i always had stomach problems and now i rarely have to deal with that anymore.
plus i love animals so much that i absolutely cannot support any of those industries.
but i understand that it's a challenge for people to give that stuff up, especially when we basically grow up with animal products at the center of our diets.
but it's awesome that you're a vegetarian and your plan to foster animals is wonderful!!
i'd love to work at a farm sanctuary or some kind of wildlife rehabilitation center in the future, but i definitely would not be able to become a vet. surgery/dealing with injuries is not something i could do.
and i don't care at all if you ramble! haha. i love talking to people so ramble away! c:

funnily enough, i never really helped out in the kitchen. i just picked it up on my own.
that's so sweet, though. my mom bakes a fair amount, too (she always needs to have at least one dessert in the house) but she liked to do things on her own. the most i would do was lick the spoon lol.

Woah that's amazing and really great to hear.
That gives me a little bit of a push towards
becoming a vegan, I have doubts a lot about
being able to cook and buy foods around a vegan
diet but I really love vegetables and fruits so
I don't suppose it would be that difficult,
considering there are so many substitutes
for animal products.
I totally agree, I don't know how well I could
handle cutting an animal open. Especially having
to deal with the fact that they might not live.
I think i'd rather work rehabilitating animals than
medical wise, like nursing them back to health.

haha well i'm all for everyone going vegan, so that's great!
if you ever do decide to make that leap, the best advice i can give is be prepared.
i jumped right into it with no knowledge of anything and mostly lived off pb&j sandwiches the first week haha.
but if you do your research and find recipes/foods you already know you'll like, and stuff easy enough to make regularly, it'll be so much easier.
and there are really are so many vegan options these days. almond milk is delicious, earth balance is a pretty good butter substitute, gardein makes amazing fake meat products, daiya cheese is pretty good...
oh god yeah. i mean, the "circle of life" doesn't bother me all that much anymore.
i know animals are going to die, i know animals are going to kill other animals, whatever.
but i was late to work a few weeks ago because i saw a car hit a bird, and i had to stop to scoop up the stunned thing and put it on the side of the road. and then i had to call my mom and tell her to go get the bird and make sure it was okay. (we kept it in a box for the night and the next morning i put it in a small tree, and it flew off to hang out with some other robins haha. so it was okay.)
so yeah i could definitely handle rescuing/rehabilitating animals, but not operating on them or anything. i agree with you on that.

I'm so glad you rescued that bird! Literally,

And yeah I've heard of gardein before,
my cousin is a vegan and so she shows
me a lot of the substitutes that she uses
and tells me all about her cause and everything.
We're really close so she's been an influence on
me to become vegetarian, but I've still been trying
to give myself time to study veganism and learn
more about it.
