Linda looked down at him from the bed. "This isn't wrong Syike." She said. She thought and then said, "Tell me...do you love me?"

Kaichi heard his mother yell and winced more. He finally yelled in pain, and started to breath real hard.

Kai growled as he heard Kaito then, and got off of Ronald. He sat there, looking at the ground, and thumping hid tail hard on the ground.

Nya heard him, and growled more. "I am not mad at you!" She yelled as she held her head some. She thought this is where she was getting mood swings, and that was bad for nekos.

Haiiru smiled as he started to kiss her, trying to get her to stop, and pulled her dress up, rubbing her stomach and small chest again. He kissed down her neck, and smiled.

Syike sighed. "Okay, wherever you want me to sleep then, I won't mind it!" He said happily to her. He gave as a little kiss on the cheek, and hugged her a little bit.

Mina shushed him gently and held him in her arms, "It's okay baby. We'll fix it. Just take deep breaths." she said as she put her hand on his small chest and held him to her.

Kaito whimpered and went to sit in her Daddy's lap, "Daddy why is brother always so sick?" she said as she purred and rubbed her head on his chest.

Ronald nodded to Kai though he stared at the ground. He ran into the room where Kaichi was screaming in pain, "Kaichi son it's okay. We're gonna make it all stop. I need you to tell me what happened before the pain came. What did you feel?" he asked as he gently put a hand on Kaichi's lower back feeling at his lower kidney. He didn't press on his body for he knew that would hurt him more. He looked up to Mina scared for him.

Syike heard her and made his ears press down on his head. "I.." He said. He thought real hard and smiled. "I do.." He said and smiled to her a little, and tilted his head. He stood up, and made his ears perk up for her.

Kaichi heard his mother, and nodded. He was making deep breaths, but they were like gasps more than anything. He heard his grandfather, and thought. "I-it felt as...if it bloated...and when I felt it...I didn't feel it..it hurts so bad..and my other one does too.." He said as he moved in his mother's arms fore it hurt him. He was thinking that he only had ten years on this world, but he was going to fight to try and stay alive for his mother.

Kai smirked as he watched Kaichi, but heard Kaito, and thought. "Well, he is sick because he was born that way..but your mother takes very good care of him to help him anyway she can, to make him live longer.." He said and kissed her head.

Mina took Kaichi gently from her lap and laid him on the soft bed. She took his hand in hers and tried to sooth him as best she can. She felt his other side as well and she could feel that his other kidney was enflamed which was bad for him, "Dad. This one's not doing any better either. Its bloated and no doubt enflamed." she tried to shush him as she held his hand.

Kaito looked at her brother and sighed as she wrapped her arms around her father, "Will he get better this time daddy?" she asked as she continued rubbing her head on him and she purred to distract herself from the noises around her.

Ronald sighed as he felt for his kidney, "I don't even feel his over here. We're going to have to go in and remove it, or it'll be all down hill from here. Im going to check the other one while we have him open as well." he said as he went to the medicine cabinet yet again for surgical tools and disinfectant for the area where they would open him. He looked at Kaichi, "Son, we're going to have to put you to sleep. I promise you that you'll wake up but I'm not sure if you'll be better just yet." he said as he looked at him waiting for him to be ready, though they didn't have much time.

Kaichi's eyes were in tears as he did not like his body. If he was someone else, but still Mina's child, he would be great. He looked at his mother as he tried to breath right, but couldn't. "Mama...I'm scared.." He said as he heard his grandfather. He nodded a little, but tried to move away fore his body didn't want to have it done. He closed his eyes, and put his ears back. "Mama...Mama...Mamaaaa..." He cried as he as he raised his arms for her.

Kai sighed as he watched and heard Kaito, looking down. "I do not know Kaito..but if Kaichi were to die, I would try and see if Mommy would want to give you a baby brother or sister.." He said sadly.

Mina nodded and picked him up again and laid him in her lap, "Okay honey. I'm right here. I know your scared just relax my sweet boy. I'll be right here for you when you wake up." she said as she gently stroked his cheek and kissed his forhead lightly.

Kaito smiled, "I could be a big sister again?" she asked as she thought of having another brother or sister to take care of or look after.

Ronald sighed and stretched his arm out on his leg, " Mina we have to do it now. He can't wait much longer or we'll be to late." he said as he got the right dose of medicine to keep him asleep while they worked and Mina nodded to him. She continued stroking his cheek and she hummed lightly to him to sooth him into an easier sleep

Kaichi heard his mother and smiled to her, even if he was hurting real bad. He heard his grandfather, but felt as he was given the medicine, and instantly fell limp. He was emotionless, and couldn't feel or hear anything.

Kai smiled. "Yes little one..it would take some time, and might not look like Kaichi, but I bet he or she will love you more than your mother and me! What about that!" He asked and licked her cheek.

Mina smiled as he went limp in her arms, "Kai I'm not sure this is something she wants to see, but if you two want to stay it's fine with us." she smiled as she laid Kaichi down and put the disinfectant on his stomach, "He's ready dad." she said as she went to put on gloves and help her dad.

Kaito nodded happily to her father and smiled, "I'd love him or her either way." she said as she hugged her daddy and licked his cheek.

Ronlad nodded and moved a sheet in front of the bed and cut him open removing and examining both of his kidneys, "This ones not far from the same fate as his other kidney. I'm afraid theres nothing I can do but sew him up and let him have his last moments with you." he said as he lowered his head and sewed Kaichi back up. He gave him more pain medicine and something to wake him up.

Mina's eyes began to water as she looked down at her son. she knew she would loose him.

Kaichi felt as he was waking up from a medicine, and opened his eyes to see his mother. "Maamaaa.." He said and gave her a gentle smile. He tried to look better, but he thought his mother might know the truth. "What's gonna happen Mama..am I gonna...be okay.?" He asked as he tried to raise his arms up to her, but couldn't.

There was a nurse that was running to find Ronald and finally did. She opened the door to see his grandson, but paid no attention. "Doctor..the boy passed..his parents donated his organs and they only wanted his carcass.." She said as she put her head low, waiting for his answer.

Kai walked out with Kaito after he heard Mina, and gulped. He sighed as he sat down in the hall. Tears were forming in his eyes, and he hated it. He hugged Kaito tight, ignoring her. He was actually crying for his son. He put his ears down, and put Kaito to the side, crying more.

Mina started to tell him that he wasnt going to be with her but when the nurse came in and told them the news she smiled down to her son, "You'll be okay honey. Your going to be here with me for a long time now." she said as she hugged him gently, and began to cry.

Kaito hugged her Daddy and comforted him as he cried.

Ronald laughed, "That's great news. Thank you. Get the OR room ready. We'll be right behind you." he said as he hugged Mina and rejoiced happily.

Kaichi closed his eyes as he heard her, but heard the nurse come in and heard her say one boy died. He whined as he held his hand close to his chest, and started to slow down more of his breathing. He was not crying or anything, and slowly going limp as his eyes were opening slightly, loosening his grip on Mina real fast.

The nurse nodded and ran off to get room that Ronald needed ready for his grandson.

Kai felt Kaito try to help him, and whined. "Kaito...you are so much stronger than Daddy..did you know that.." He asked her as he looked to her with his shimmering gold eyes.

Mina looked down at Kaichi, "Dad. We need to do it now. He's fading fast." she said as she carried him down the hall, "Kai he's gonna be okay. If we work fast enough." she said kissing him lightly and smiling as she ran down the hall, with her father close at her heels.

Kaito didn't know what to she looked at her father and smiled, "You're stronger than me Daddy. I know you are. You just got to try harder." she said as she purred laying on his chest.

Ronald was right behind Mina as she laid him on the operating table. He instantly put him out and got the organs and him ready. He opened not more than five minutes after they broke into the room. He took out his other kidney and put in both of the new ones. He sewed him up and gave him some blood to replace what he lost and a little more pain medicine. They wheeled him out not shortly after his surgery and into a room. They stopped and braked the bed and set him up with a heart monitor and oxygen tubes in his nose. He checked his vital signs and sat back. now all they could do is sit back and see if his body accepted the new organs.

Linda smiled up at him from the bed. "Since I love you and you love me, this is fine." She said. She wasn't trying to pressure him into it, but she wanted him to know that if they slept together it would be ok. That kind of thing should only be done between people who love each other in her opinion.

Kaichi felt as if he was sedated again, and was out. When they were all done with his surgery, and put him in recovery, he could only breathe but so little, even with the oxygen his grandfather gave him. He was motionless, and not even his face had an expression.

Kai heard Kaito, and smiled. He heard Mina and sighed in some relief, nodding now. He kissed Kaito's head and just cuddled with her.

Syike thought. "Let's wait..please.." He said as his ears went down, and watched her, hoping it was okay. He didn't want her mad, and sat down in a chair.

Linda nodded. She put her shirt back on and patted the spot next to her. "At least come to bed with me...you said you would." She said. With that moment she forgot the storm and heard a clap on thunder. She yelped and looked at him scared.
