Daniel couldn't help but let out a quiet laugh as Aera pointed out the sign swinging above the inn door. Not because of the material it was made from, but because of the name. "You know, on the surface, Seven Seas is a company that makes products for constipation." He said, grinning. Of course, he was probably one of the few people that knew of that down here, as many wouldn't have spent much time on the surface.

He followed Aera inside as she pushed the door open, spotting his father and stopping dead in his tracks. He watched the man's expression carefully as he eyed Daniel suspiciously, a smile starting to form on his face when Aera told him the news. That smile was quickly lost as the merman sot towards him, scooping him up in a hug only a car crusher would be able to match. "Dad... You're gnna kill me if you don't let go." He wheezed, struggling against the man's vice-like grip.

Aera laughed when her father hugged Daniel, fearing she would tear up, if it was possible. "What'd I teel you?" She said between giggles. She put a hand on her dad's shoulder. "Dad, let him breathe," Her father realeased Daniel after a moment, smiling hugely and looking as if ten years had suddenly vanished from his kind, weathered face. "How on hearth did she find you?" he asked Daniel. "Here, sit down." Aera's father gestured to a booth, in which he and Aera slid into. "Tell me everything," the man said, his eyes alight.

Daniel took a deep breath when his father let go, more for comedy than out of relief. Not to be outdone, he muttered "Nice grip" and patted his dad on the back, causing him to draw in a sharp breath. But aside from the rather painful embrace, Daniel, or was it Caden, was overwhelmed to finally meet his father for the first time in fifteen years. He swam over to the indicated booth and sat down next to Aera, leaning forward with his hands on the table. "Everything? Goodness, where do I begin?" He said quietly, looking over at his father with a small, nervous smile. It was no doubt a relief to be finally back, but it was a little awkward seeing someone who he had been away from for fifteen or so years.

"Right, everything..." Caden began, glancing over at Aera, whispering "feel free to butt in at any time" before he turned back to his father once more, with the same nervous smile. "Well, my parents, foster parents I mean, just moved to the island from the mainland. I said I'd join them a few days after, just so they could settle in and I could finish everything up at school and stuff. Luckily the plane I was in crashed into the sea. God, the first time I saw this tail I fainted. Literally." He smiled again, clasping his hands together. "When I woke up... Again... I found Aera, who showed me around. I found some more people, helped with that daring escape you've probably heard about and fell asleep round someone's house. Then I remembered my past life, the day I got kidnapped..." He stopped at that and held back a silent tear, looking over at the rest of his family.

Aera smiled and was silent as Daniel talked. She didn't want to spoil the moment, so instead got up and filled a few glasses with fruit punch and handed one to her father and Daniel. She sipped hers happily as father and son bonded for the first time in nearly sixteen years.

"Then I, umm, went off and met some more people." Daniel began again, a little quieter than before. He deliberatley skirted round the exact details, as he didn't want Aera making fun of him if he said he had found a girl he had a slight crush on. "Then miss clumsy managed to crack her head open. I went looking through her mind for the location of a hospital and I must have knocked something loose. She woke up and remembered who I was."

Layla smacked the water angrily with the back of her hand as the last of her tears fell. How stupid of her to long for the feel of tears when they came under the water. Be tough sailor, no time for this. she thought to herself and smiled slightly while wipping off the last of her tears. Plus, your not the same person that you were back then. She took in a deep breath, steading herself and calming herself down at last. Ok, I'm fine now. She quietly removed the protection spell that she had put on herself and dove under the water. Layla retraced her way down to the city again, finding the hospital and cautiously making her way through the city. Um, I think it was an inn. Right? She put a finger on the edge of her mouth as she looked around.
