Zelviana walked around awhile on the beach. While she was walking she was positive she saw fire fly past her high in the sky, What was that? Zelviana looked up. The fire that flew past was shaped like a bird. How strange, Zelviana thought.
Zelviana had thought she would look for help on the island, but she thought better of it. Lately there had been government in Eretha, so it would probably be better to go back into the water and find help there. Plus, if the government saw her, they would probably guess she was a mermaid, after all, she had the long hair and stuff... Normally the mermaids looked quite different when not in mermaid form, but Zelviana only had small changes.


Zelviana went to a nearby cove, and dived into the water, wondering where she could find help. She could feel her legs changing back into the tail they usually were. Her hair grew only a few inches as it darkened. and she felt her wings returning.
That was another thing different from her and other mermaids, she had wings. Of course, they were only there underwater, so she couldn't actually fly with them as far as she knew. They did help her with dancing though, which she loved to do.

Daniel Atlantus

Daniel stared towards the island, not noticing the firey object streaking across the sky. He was lost in thought, wondering what would happen if anyone saw him like this. Even his upper body looked strange, the webbed fingers being a dead giveaway. His train of thought was interrupted as he spotted a tiny figure in the distant cove, looking out to sea. He gasped and hurredly dove underwater again, hoping he hadn't been spotted. After a few seconds he surfaced again, looking for the person again.

After a few minutes, the realisation that she hadn't surfaced again began to worry him, as he didn't see any diving equipment on her. His heroic nature got the better of him, and Daniel set off towards the cove, wondering what had happened.

The mystery beneath the surface...

Aera looked up to se a fiery streak across the sky. Deciding she didn't really care, Aera walked on with no particualer destination in mind.

After a few minutes, Aera stopped by a shallow cove and skipped rocks on the the gently lapping sea. She noticed a merman with long, greenish hair swimmin towards the cove, looking pretty panicky. Aera waved to him in a large, friendly arc, and being the incredibly spontanious mermaid that she was, dove into the water with a resounding splash.

Daniel couldn't see any sign of the girl that he was looking for, but after a while a loud splash caused him to cease his search and look up to the surface, a cloud of white foam obscuring his view for a moment. When it cleared, Daniel could hardly believe his eyes. "I... I'm not alone?" he said in amazement, swimming cautiously towards her. He stopped when he came within a few feet of her, staring at the mermaid in wonder.

Aera giggled at the boy in front of her, flicking her aqua tail in small circles to pop her head above the surface. "Nope. This whole island is chock full of the crazy, weird and magical," Aera giggled some more at the boy's amazement. He was obviously new to Erethra. "You just got here, am I right? I could tell by your face. It's actually kind of weird we get people here who just turn up with no clue they had previously had powers." Aera held out a hand. "My name's Aera. What's yours?"

daniel could hardly believe his ears, sensitive as they were. Now that he had managed to get a better look, he had the strange feeling that he had seen her before."I'm Daniel." He said quietly, nervously shaking her hand. "Just arrived via plane crash airways." He smiled, trying to make light of the bad situation he was in. "I was supposed to be meeting up with my parents at that new lab complex inland, but unless there's a river leading there, I guess I won't be doing that any time soon."

The wizard could feel his stomach growl. "Hmmm.. Well, must be time for dinner." He looked around and found he was surrounded by dirty dishes. "But first I have to clean up this mess! Now what was that spell for this again?" He went over to his bookshelf, filled with musty old spell books. He found one about home care. He opened it on a pedistal and found one that he was looking for. He began chanting something and all of a sudden, all of the plates stacked together and some came off the stacks one at a time. They formed a line into this large tub of water that suddenly appeared out of nowhere and rinsed themselves off before some scrubbers did the rest of the work. He sat down an read another book while this was going on.
