[Taiyo the Egg]

Clair saw the boy run off and then one of the mermaids jumped into the water and the other one's tail changed to legs Clair was amazed and wondered if she may have met a mermaid before, she didn't know they could do that.

The blue mermaid's name was Aera. Clair hadn't spoke to a human like creature for a long time and quickly asked Aera "Do you know about the ships?" forgetting to introduce herself, most animals really didn't care about her name. Clair still wondered if this was still the mermaid she had seen with the boy she looked so different, maybe she had the same features other than hair color.

The wizard went into his hut and said to himself, "That was a close one! I have to be more careful next time! Well at least I was able to find out that there are mermaids living around here. Maybe these islanders were more interesting than I thought. Though it makes me wonder if any of them need my help at all." He waved a hand towards a tea kettle, filled it with water and leaves from an old container and placed it on a lit stove. He sat down on his chair. "Oh well. Maybe there are some humans around here who might want a wizard's help. You can never tell really with people like this." After the while the kettle whistles and he waved a hand again to turn off the stove and pour the tea in a mug. The mug floated to him as he grabbed it and took a sip. "Ah. Nothing like warm tea like my old master used to make after falling in the water like that."

Clair waited a moment no answer from the girl then out of the blue she heard a voice, a beautiful but weary voice and it said something about being captured in some research place. *Ryu* she said in mindspeech *Where did that come from?* Clair waited for an answer then one came in a disappointed voice *I can not tell the exact spot, but it said two miles east of the island.* Ryu said to her in mindspeech. Clair nodded.
Then she remembered that the girl was still in front of her."Oh! My name is Clair." She said to Aera.

He jumped and spilled his tea in surprise when he heard the voice. He jumped and shouted from the hot tea on him before looking around. "Who's there? Show yourself!" He couldn't see anyone, yet he could still hear someone speaking. "Hmm.... strange..... Either a ghost has come to haunt me or there was a message being sent...." He shrugged. "Oh well. Whatever it is, it's none of my business." He looked down at his rug and clothes. "One thing's for sure, that surprise made me make a mess of things here. I better get this stuff cleaned up in case any patients come by!" He snapped his fingers as the stains disappeared. "Ah. Much better!"

The small private airplane was headed for Erethra Island, a bored seventeen-year-old sitting in one seat, his bags covering the others. "How long until we land?" The boy asked, looking at his watch. The pilot started to reply, but was cut off by an irritating beeping noise. No sooner had the beeping started than the aircraft started to fall, tipping forward and throwing the boy and his luggage into the front and bashing his head against the toughened glass windscreen.

Daniel gasped and bolted upright, his eyes wide with shock. He was alive! the last thing he could remember was blacking out in the plane as it hit the ocean. The pilot was probably dead, and all of his luggage ruined, but that didn't matter now. At least he was alive,and lying on the soft sea bed, looking up at the roof of a coral arch. 'Wait, how am I still alive?' He thought as a fish swam overhead. What little colour left in his face drained away as he finally took notice of where he was.

How was he still breathing? Usually, he would have noticed that he was underwater immediatley, but it was probably due to the overwhelming relief of finding himself still alive that he was temporarily unaware of his surroundings. Things were getting really wierd now. something was draped across his back, which he thought was probably seaweed. As he went to brush it off, he could feel something strange between his fingers, holding them together and restricting their movement. As he moved a hand in front of his face, Daniel began to feel faint. They were slightly longer than usual, and appeared to be webbed. weakly, he lifted his head to look at the rest of himself. He could live with the fact that his clothes had seemed to have vanished, but the tail was just far too much to handle. A familiar feeling washed over him again as he blacked out for the second time that day.

Zelviana was swimming back to her home in Ciceria when she heard the voice... 2 miles west of the island, Zelviana wondered if anyone else could hear the voice... She decided she would try and help anyway she could, if someone could get in her mind it must be important, right?
She swam back to Eretha, and found an area clear of humans, then went onto the shore. Her bright blue hair faded into a more grayish blue color, and she could feel her clothes coming back. She felt her small wings fading, and her legs splitting. Zelviana loved the feeling she got every time she changed forms!
How, could she help? She knew better then to just swim right up to the facility alone, so she decided to search for help.

"Must have been dreaming again." Daniel said resolutely as he slowly regained conciousness. the idea of merpeople was stupid. Who in their right mind could believe they existed? It must have been a dream, and he was probably asleep on the plane. If he was indeed underwater, his voice couldn't possibly sound as clear as it did now. His eyes opened ince again, and he couldn't help but let out a small cry of fear. That coral roof was all too familiar. It was the same one from earlier. He didn't understand. How could this have happened?

As he pushed himself up to examine himself further, he noticed that what he had assumed was seaweed was, in fact, hair. His hair. The webbed hand and tail he could understand, but why had his hair grown? He tentatively tried to flex the strange new limb, and was surprised to find that it responded. It not only felt easy, but strangely natural, as if he had one all his life. A thought suddenly struck him, and with a moment of aprehension, he pushed himself off the floor and flipped onto his front with remarkable ease. Within a few seconds he had left the cave and was swimming in circles, getting used to his new body.

Aera did not respond it was like she was in a trance so Clair walked away.
*Hey Ryu come here.* she said in mindspeech. Ryu landed an Clair got on his back and he flew east. Clair was planning on finding this person.
While they were flying Clair saw a large object crash into the ocean They shouldn't be here anyway Clair thought.

Despite the initial shock, Daniel was very happy withhis newfound changes. He could swim with remarkable ease now, and for some reason could hear incredibly clearly, despite the fact he was underwater. There were a few things he couldn't quite understand, though, such as the gold band around his left arm, and the chain around his midriff. They weren't there earlier, and neither was the three feet of extra hair. It wasn't a big deal though, so he just chose to put those matters aside and carry on enjoying himself.

The fact that he wasn't breathing was a little disconcerting. of course, the gills on either side of his body where his hips once were provided adequate oxygen, but he wanted to see if his lungs still worked. He straightened himself out and sped upwards, breaking the surface of the water and inhaling deeply. The fact that he could breathe without being underwater was a relief, as it meant that he wasn't confined to the sea, but with a tail he could hardly pass as human.
