Avira And Belrina Bluewaterz

User ImageUser Image Avira spit the water out of her mouth. "Thanks Daniel." she coughed and fixed her hair. Belrina fell asleep on the sand, her tail still in the water. Avira picked her up and held her gently and began humming a lullaby to her.

Layla's eyes widened as she saw Daniel run and dive into the water and the spray hitting her. Letting out a light and playfull yell, she felt her self changing again as her tail appeared again. Sinking a little into the water as she lost her focus, the end of her tail was submersed in water as she lay on her side. Shaking her head back and forth while laughing, "It's okay. I've never really had anyone do anything like that before." She laughed again a little and let herself sink into the water.

"Sorry." Daniel said to Avira, laughing. "I didn't know you were that close." He brushed his hair out of his face, looking over at Layla again. "I have to admit, splashing people with water is a lot more fun when something like that happens when you do."

"Well no one has ever really attenpted to splash a person who walks on water, they're too surprised to do anything." She laughed. Layla spashed him in the face with water. Not like it's going to do anything now. She put part of her face under the water and started to blow bubbles as her coral colored hair surrounded her.

(( Be right back. ))

Daniel sputtered as Layla splashed him with water. "I guess that I deserved that." He smiled, lying back and floating lazily about an inch below the surface. He jumped as a small fish bumped into him, who seemed to utter a hasty apology before swimming away again. "Did that fish just..." He said, watching the guppy as it disappeared into the distance.

"I guess you do." she chimed. Layla tilted her head to the side as he floated just under the water. Her head was still above water and she finally dived under with her hands in front of her and then she spread them apart as she was under. She looked up at Daniel and went back up right next to him. "Did the fish just... what?" she asked quizzically.

"I'm going mad. The fish just apologised to me." Daniel said, flipping over to face Layla. He supposed it could just be a trait shared by his species, but she didn't seem to notice the fish talking. "Ah well. Never mind." He decided to put the experience aside and persue answers back in the city. Diving down a little, Daniel gathered speed before arching his back and shooting towards the surface, bursting out of the water and doing a backflip, landing in the water with an almost non-existant splash. "Didn't know why I did that." He said with a smile. Actually, he did know the reason, but it seemed stupid.

She laughed, "Well maybe I didn't notice because I wasn't paying attention. My mind seems to wander a lot." She watched him flip into the air and clapped when he came back up. "Well neither do the scientists know about why the sea mammals do it either." She put her finger on her chin quizzically and mimicked, "'To get off parasits maybe, or just for fun.'" She titled her head to one side and some of her hair slipped onto her face. "Why would you go and do something if you don't know why you did it?" Then she thought, Or your just showing off and raised her eyebrow.

(( So, should she be able to hear them or not. I am a bit comfuzed. xD ))

"I definitley heard someone say sorry to me." Daniel said, looking at the spot where he last saw the fish. He turned slightly red as Layla raised her eyebrow. The reason for his attempted stunt was to impress her. It just seemed like the right thing to do at the time. "Well, umm, actually..." He began, rubbing the back of his neck. "I did do it to show off a little."

((Probably))

"Well they can say more than just sorry. They have a lot to say..." She paused as she remembered something and laughed at it. "Sea Turtles, now those are interesting to talk to. Like the ones out in the ocean where there's nothing around." She stopped herself as she noticed she had started to ramble.
Layla smiled wide as he admitted his reasoning for the stunt. And then looked up at the sky were he had jumped. "I got to admit, that was pretty impressive though." Layla pushed aside her hair that was starting to surround her again and tucked some behind her ears, reveiling more markings on her forhead.

"So I haven't lost it just yet, then?" Daniel asked, flipping over so he was talking to Layla upside-down. Discovering who he really was had brought out a playful side he had never seen before. On land, Daniel was a quieter, more reserved person, but now he seemed to be a lot happier. "Sea turtles?" He asked, wondering what things a turtle would have to say.

She shook her head from side to side, "I guess not." and grinned. Layla tilted her head to a point that it was almost touching her sholders as she looked at him. "Aye, Sea Turtles." she said playfully. Taking both hands under her hair she stretched her arms out sending her hair cascading up with the water in different directions. "The really old ones are the most interesting to talk to really. They have seen so much and some of them picked up some good humor too." Her voice sounded distant to her as she reminiced about her past, "It's nice to have someone there in the open water when there's nothing really around."

Daniel smiled faintly. Up until now, he had no idea merpeople could converse with fish. "Sounds fun." He said, turning over again and diving down a little so his eyes were level with Leyla's. "You look um, nice." He added, flicking his hair to one side so it was draped over his left shoulder. He was beginning to get used to its length now, so it didn't bother him as much.

((Sorry, wrong RP))

"Fun, yeah. It was fun at times." she said as he turned to face her. She kinda jumped a little, if it was possible to do that under water. "Oh, thank you." she grabbed her curtain of hair and twisted it so it was together, for now. "Just... hair." she paused,"It annoys me sometimes." Her eyes widdened a bit at the thought of it not really staying out up for long, the water didn't really let it stay in place. "I havn't really been in the water for a while, just going to take time to get use to it again." Layla bit her lip a little, it was a bad habbit that surfaced once in a while. She staired at his hair and followed it down to his chest. She kinda held her breath in for a second and realized that she was just as exposed, maybe a little less.

(( Oh, it's okay. ))
