Cheza

Under the Waves....

Cheza smiled as she flicked her tail throughout the water, passing fish, coral and many other sea creatures she finally reached some rocks, She jumping and sat on them, She long black tail stay'd in the water. The warm sun agansit her pale, cold skin felt good, "A wonderful day out." She said grinning, She flicked her fin in the water again, and laughed as she fell back, Looking both ways for any humans, there were none so she continued with her happy moment. Her black hair shining in the sunlight, As she slipped back into the water. Cheza loved to be above the water, The sun.... warmth, She loved everything most of the time. As she swam back She stoped and looked at the odd coral every now and then, finally making it home she let out a small sigh and swam into a little cave.

The young man siged and said, "Perhaps I should just go for a walk outside? I've been studying for days now. I need to have some relaxation, enjoy life while I still have it." He stood up on the chair and stepped out the door. For someone using magic, he seemed to dress very casual. He walked down the hill towards the beach to get some of that salty air.

The mystery beneath the surface...

Aera frowned when the boy did not follow her. She popped her head up once more and found him to be nowhere in sight, but also saw that the boat was gone from the bay, a small speck heading back out to sea. Aera smiled and propelled herself along lazily over the surface of the water, her hands behind her back and aquamarine tail splashing rainbows of mist into the air. The mermaid closed her eyes and fitted along, not really knowing where she was going. It was no surprise that she crashed headlong into a rock.

"Ow!" Aera said, her eye snappin open, a hand rubbing her head. She had swam off and around the island somewhere; she could make out a boy on a small beach about twenty feet away. She was somewhere near the back of the island on a beach tucked into the rocky back or Erethra. Aera waved to the boy before diving under the water, realizing her mistake too late. The boy could be working for the government! Aera was just so used to Erethra being friendly, in that moment, she had forgotten...

Aera shook of her anxiety and flipped her aquamerine tail, determined to do some exploring here. A cave loomed directly in front of her; a curious flash of scales came from inside. Grinning, Aera swam into the cave, excited for what she might find.

...is as beautiful and mysterious as ever.

As he walked down, he suddenly caught something at the corner of his eye. He thought he saw someone waving. But as soon as he looked, there was nothing but rolling waves. He shrugged and walked down further. He found a rock overlooking the wave and climbed up it. He stood on the top and watched the horizon. "I wonder how my master is doing at this time. I sure wish I could learn more from him. So many people have been getting sick and injured around here lately."

Cheza

Under the Waves....

Cheza looked at the girl whom had entered the cave "Hello there!" She said grinning, "I'm Cheza! What brings you here?" She asked looking around, this little cave was her hang out place, Where she would just stare outside, Her black tail scales were glittering in the darkness as she flipped her fin.

The mystery beneath the surface...

Aera smiled at the mermaid. "Hello, I'm Aera. Nice to meet you, Cheza." Aera looked around the cave, which was surprisingly light at the end for some reason. She looked up and realised that there were small holes in the rock towards the ceiling; fish swam in and out lazily, giving the cance a dappled look.

"This cave is really cool," Aera said, still looking around. "It's funny, in all my sixteen years of living on Erethra, you'd think I'd have explored every nook and cranny by now; after all, the island's really small. But this is amazing!" Aera picked up a small pearl from the ground, and turned it over in her hand. It was nothing unusual for Erethra; gems and prescious stones riddled the sea floor everywhere here. Yet Aera found it magical. "How pretty..." She murmured, grasping the tiny pearl in a tight hand.

...is as beautiful and mysterious as ever.

With each breath, the young man could feel his powers returning and decided to practice some more with it. He looked down at some pebbles among the rocks and made them float into the air. He made them land into a pile and let one still float in the air. He concentrated and made the rock shoot out towards the water. The stone skipped a few times before he sent another one out there. This whole time, he was doing this without lifting a finger.

Cheza

Under the Waves....

Cheza smiled "What a beautiful name." She blinked and looked up "Yes, This cave is beautiful." Cheza flicked her tail, "This cave always has the prettest things you'll ever find." She explained refering to the pearl, "The waters are magical here." Cheza said happily, She looked at Aera's tail "I have never seen a tial as blue as yours." She said flicking her own tail.

(( OOC: Sorry, i lost the thread. ))

As he was skipping rocks he seemed a little depressed. This was the only thing he could really do with the earth element spells. He wished he could do more with this. He kicked the rest of the rocks in the water, feeling ashamed of his lack of power. But as he kicked, his foot slipped on the wet rocks and he fell beck. He hit his head before sliding into the water. There, he sank and what made this worse was that he was out cold!

The mystery beneath the surface...

Aera grinned and flipped her tail, adorned with strings of pearls. "Thanks, I like yours, too. It looks almost like your tail is made of liquid ebony when you swim. Really shiny, too. I-"

Aera paused for a moment, suddenly hearing a yell of fright. "Did you hear that?" She asked Cheza, frowning. She turned ans swam out of the cave and down the short passageway, looking around apon entering the open sea. She spotted the boy she had seen on the beach a few minutes earlier, his eyes closed and a tiny trickle of blood coming from his head and dissipating in the water. The boy was sinking, apparrently unconcious, tiny bubbles streaming from his mouth. He hit the sea floor in a cloud of sand as Aera swam over to him, grabbing him and beating her tail quickly to propell them upwhards.

She dragged the boy onto the beach, a bit tired from carrying the boy. She raised a hand over his mouth, and a stream of water came from the boy's mouth as she moved her hand away. Aera tossed the water back in the ocean and hoed the boy was all right.

...is as beautiful and mysterious as ever.

Wisteria Gwendolyn

What you see on the outside is not always the same as the inside.

The lights shinig into wisteria's eyes were as bright as spotlights; she tried to lift an arm to shield her face, but her entire body was strapped tightly to the cold metal table. She moaned and shook her head, a fever soaring, whispering deliriously for her mother. A man's sharp voice said from somewhere far off, "Keep her quiet! She might try singing again!" a sillouette descended on Wisteria, tying a cloth roughly and tightly aroung her mouth.

The girl was dabbed continuously with water, but not because of her fever. Her legs were kept damp so that the scientists could continue giving her mermaid's tail painful injections, drawing blood and injecting experimental chemicals to see the effects on her body. Wisteria was connected to numerous wires and tubes, monitoring her heart rate, blood flow, everything. Her fever soared suddenly, and with a sudden, loud yell, she passed out.

You have to get out of here, Wisteria... the voice said, the voice that always came to her in her dreams. The voice that kept her sane.

But I'm trapped... she answered helplessly.

You can escape. Send a message;your brethren will hear.

I am too weak...

Wait, my child, wait. You are a moon spirit; you can do this.

Oh, mama...

As he lay there, he moaned from the extreme headache he had from injuring his skull. Though he wasn't really aware of what was going on. Everything was all black for him and he couldn't hear anything. He could only feel the pain. He wasn't even aware of the mermaid looking at him. All he could think in his mind is, "Am I dead? Then why am I in pain? I can't see anything. What happened? Did I slip off the rocks into the water? But I can't swim! I'll drown!" He apparently also wasn't aware that he was safe.

The mystery beneath the surface...

Aera frowned when the boy did not stir. Frustrated, she placed both hands on his chest and pressed hard. Her healing magic began and her energy began to ebb away as whatever injuries the boy had healed themselves. She kept it up for a minute intil aera was too exausted to heal any longer; the glow around her hand began to fade and Aera slunk back into the shallows of the water, tired and weak. She sat in the gently lappin water, waiting for the boy to awaken.

...is as beautiful and mysterious as ever.
