Daniel Atlantus

Daniel shook his head as Aera vanished through the rock. How could he ask her for a few hints if she was stuck on the other side of the wall? It was probably revenge for doubting her, but he had deserved it. Gritting his teeth, Daniel swam headlong into the coral encrusted rock, bouncing off with a painful thump and rubbing his forehead. "Now I can seewhere Indiana Jones got it from." He said with a slight smile, remembering the final scenes from the third film.

Determined not to fail, Daniel backed up a little more and tried again. How could he not believe in magic if he had just seen someone swim through solid rock? He tried thinking this over and over as he headed for the rock, keeping his eyes set firmly on the target as he neared the coral, thankfully passing right through this time.

Aera, floating just past the wall, smiled when Daniel made it through the wall. "Good job. That's one step towards the right direction. Now- oh, Daniel, you're bleeding," she said. Aera swam over to daniel and placed a finger on the cut on the merman's forehead. Aera's finger flowed a soft sliver as the cut healed over, a timy bit of Aera's energy spent. "There, good as new! Now come on! We've got a city to see!"

The view from thier spot was breathtaking.
At first Ciceria was kind of hard to see, as it was made entirely from coral and seabed stone, but once you focused your eyes the beautiful city it came into focus. Merpeople swam playfully about, children played in seaweed-bedded parks, and the beautiful castle in the center of it all topped it off. It was hewn right out of the seabed and adorned with shells and murals. Aera smiled. She was home.

Daniel Atlantus

"It's hardly platform nine and three-quaters" Daniel joked as he emerged from the other side of the wall. He doubted that Aera would understand, but at least he still found it funny. After barely an hour of conciousness, he already felt more comfortable with the whole idea of magic and merpeople, barely even noticing when Aera healed the cut on his forehead. He quickly thanked her and looked around, trying to find the city.

Something must have suddenly clicked in his mind, as Daniel seemed to instantly know what he was looking for. "It's beautiful" He said quietly, wide-eyed. It was strange, but the coral city seemed familiar, as if he had already seen it before.

From the distance, an ageing mermaid watched the two people swim through the gate. She recognised the girl, Aera, but the other one... She brushed a stray wisp of hair away from her face, only the tip retained its previous olive hue, the rest succumbing to age and turning grey. It was then than a thought struck her. The hair! there was no real way to be sure from here, but if she could only get a good look at his left arm...

"Its okay." Clair said to Marthus. Clair finished her stew and yawned "I am gonna go to sleep." she said.
She was now okay with letting him know she was a nymph he seemed nice enough and he didn't seem like a very skilled wizard so she put some wood more on the fire and Clair stuck her arm into the fire a let the warm blanket of fire cover her body, "Goodnight." She said and then it disappeared and the fire blazed up for a couple of seconds then it went back to the way it was.

Akane hears a loud splash. She reluctantly looks up to find a pink tail out of the water. She she stands up and walks over for a closer look. She stops when she thinks shes close enough and sees what happened. What a clutz. She thought and giggles, then heads back. Maybe ill go back underwater. Ill try to avoid that son of a shark as best as possible. Akane thinks with a sigh. She changes directions and heads towards where the tide comes in.

Zuhara kept her camouflage and swam towards the beach and ignored the clumsy mermaid. There is one, I hope there are more around here. Zuhara thought.
When she came close to the beach she saw a girl standing there and thought I hope this island doesn't have to many humans. Zuhara hated humans because of the government but she was still helping them. The first mermaid Zuhara was to talk to was going to be her target. Hopefully it would b a gullible one because she wasn't the best lair the government people are expecting more than she can help with.
Zuhara didn't see any more mermaids after swimming for a while so she stopped the ocean water made a bigger difference than she expected she thought she might actually have to go up for a breath of air. As soon as she tried to swim up it was hard she was a strong woman but just like putting a fresh water fish in the ocean it doesn't work out well so she began to sink it took to much strength. The only thing she hoped as she sank was that she could still finish her job so they wouldn't go after her people....

"What?" Aera said without a clue what Daniel was talking about. She'd never seen the Harry Potter movies, let alone any television alltogether. Being that Aera lived underwater, she didn't really visit the more modern part of the human town that actualy had electricity, and out of that small nuimber only a few people had televisions. There was simply too much to do here.

Aera looked over Ciceria with Daniel. "Yeah, it's pretty..." Aera trailed off. she had turned around a bit, and out of the corner of her eye, she could see a sinking figure. Aera swiveled to look more closely, the wall of coral now invisible, and realised that it was a mermaid. She breathed a sigh of relief before seeing that it was a koi mermaid... koi were freshwater fish. This woman could be in real danger.

Aera swam over as quickly as possible, grasped one of the woman's arms, and, knowing that she probably didn't have much time, pulled the mermaid up to the surface.

Akane walks into the water and dives. She begins to transform as she heads towards Ciceria. Now first things first, i should apoligize for overreacting. Akane thought. She rubs her forehead and brushes away a stray blond hair from her eyes. She swam closer to the city to find Aera and Daniel. That was quick She thinks with relief. She watches Aera bring a mermaid up towards the surface. "What is she doing?" Akane asks herself as she watches Aera swim up higher and higher. She reluctantly follows her but tries to stay hidden.

Layla started to spaceout a bit now. She was just pondering as she uaually does sometimes. She thought she saw something in the water, like a shadow of some sort. I wonder what that could be. she thought to herself and her spine tingled just a little bit. She pushed herself out of the rocky, shallow water and swam into the vast, free depths of the reef. As she swam near the bottom she saw a figure going up, up towards the surface. Now was that one figure, or two. After moments of squinting and getting closer, she could finally make out two mermaids. One magnificantly blue one and... was that a koifish tail?

"Never mind. You have to see it to get the joke." Daniel said, rolling his eyes. He found it hard to believe that she hadn't read any of JK Rowling's books, but he supposed that it would be impossible to read anything underwater. Even if there was a sheltered cave around here, actually getting the book there would be too much of a challenge. He frowned, following Aera's gaze and staring at the mermaid trying desparatley to swim.

His father used to keep tropical fish before they moved, and he knew that saltwater could be deadly to freshwater fish. Obviously the same seemed to apply for merpeople, so his helpful side got the better of him and he quickly swam over to assist Aera. He was almost there when a familiar voice rang out in his head again. 'Oh great, it's miss bipolar' He sighed, looking around for Akane.

Hey! Thats not very nice. Dont call me that, i was just about to apoligize to you and now your calling me names? Bipolar is a serious disease that you shouldnt joke about. Akane tells him threw telepathic communication. She turns the other way away from Daniel leading herself into the city.

Why was he being so mean lately? Daniel shook his head as Akane turned away again. He was probably just annoyed at how things kept interrupting his plane, and his hot temper had just lost him another potential friend. Aetha seemed to be coping well on her own, so Daniel doubled back on himself and swam back towards the coral wall, passing Akane and coming to a alt just before the coral barricade. "Look, I'm sorry for being such an idiot. It's just that plane crashes are very stressful, and you didn't exactly make a good first impression on me." He said apologetically, still trying to keep his hair in check. Having such long hair was new to him, and it was made even worse by the fact that it was now floating freely around him.

Akane stops and folds her arms. "Well im sorry i made a bad impression on you. I am very sensitive to what people say about me. I hear it all my life for crying out loud." She answers. "Im sorry for getting all mad at you, im more hot headed and stubborn than you think." She continues, practically talking smack about herself. She runs her fingers threw her long blond hair to calm herself down.

"I can see that." Daniel said as Akane finished speaking, smiling a little. His mind was beginning to get him in trouble now, and he needed to think of a way of shielding his thoughts. The girl seemed nice when she wasn't shouting at him, so Daniel decided on starting again from scratch. "So what's life like when you're, you know, like this?" He asked, wiggling his tail to emphasise the point.

Akane giggles from his silly remark. "Peaceful! Well in my perspective." Akane exclaims. "Up there, everyone hates me." She continues, pointing up towards the sky. "Down here, is where i belong. But i dont like to stay down here for too long." She says pointing down. "When im on the surface i like to scare people. Everyone calls me the Poltergeist girl, because im so similar to a ghost." She smiles laughing at her special powers.
