The mystery beneath the surface...
Aera blinked at Daniel, slightly nonplussed. "I... how did you... I just..." Then she facepalmed herself for being so ignorant. Aera felt kind of intruded, an her expression towards Daniel was affronted.
"You know, it's kind of rude to read people's minds like that. I know you're kind of new to this, but I think you should have had a bit of common sense," Aera wasn't terribly angry, but it made her a bit uneasy to know that Daniel wasn't respecting her privacy. Then again, Aera had a thing for overreacting.
Aera realised another mermaid was talking to them. Aera glanced at her face and realized it was Zelviana, an aquaintance she'd made a while ago. Aera smiled.
"Hi, Zelviana. We were just going to show Daniel here around Ciceria. He just got here and needs a chance to get aquainted with his surroundings," Aera nodded before flipping her tail and swimming a few feet away. She stopped, turned around, and gestured for her two friends to follow.
"C'mon, you'll probably never find the city without a citizen's help. It's hidden pretty well," Aera smiled once more and set off.
...is as beautiful and mysterious as ever.
